New Year, New Eagles Gathering! - Friday 19th Jan

Post by Mi Amigo » Fri, 29 Dec 2017 9:33 pm

Greetings to all, I trust that you've had an enjoyable Christmas break and let's hope that 2018 is kind to us all...

As mentioned in an earlier thread, I rescheduled my Singapore trip for mid January, so the question is... How about a meet-up on Friday 19th Jan? I realise that the turn out last time was disappointing (to put it mildly), so how about a New Year's resolution of "I must be more diligent about attending Eagles Gatherings" ? :D

As before, I'm happy to meet up wherever works best for the gang. Hey, x9200 and Scooby, how was Beerfest?

Oh, and SMS - take care buddy and don't have any more 'incidents' (industrial or otherwise), eh?

Looks like I am going to be in for a wedding in Bali on July 7, 2018. Planning on being in Singapore before/after that time.

Since my discount airline tickets never arrive....

Happy New Year! Peace, Love, Health and Happiness to all in 2018...

SE, it's a pity that our visits won't coincide, and the carrier pigeon ticket service does seem to be very unreliable these days, what? SMS also mentioned in the earlier thread that Lynx will be visiting in Feb, so the timing is bad in that respect too.

But on a positive note, I do hope that as many of the remaining Singapore resident Eagles as possible can make it on the 19th.

SMS, should we start one of those attendee lists?

Hasta pronto!

Just thought I'd give this a bump to see if we can get a good turn-out on the 19th.

And to confirm the venue... Didn't hear back from x9200 and Scooby about Beerfest... Is it a good place to meet?

Place - yes, food - yes, the beers tasted to me like these limited volume craft beers that started to appear around within last 2-3y. Similar to what one can get in nearby Timber, but more smooth.

Note: I edited this post because what I wrote earlier just reflected my subjective taste and I don't want anybody to make any decision based on my personal preferences. Apologies.

I'll leave it up to the others. The only time I actually drink is when it's one of these functions (in fact it has been the ONLY time I had any alcohol in the past 5 years) so I've virtually stopped drinking except when with exceptional people!

Excellent news, Mr. Barnsley, be good to see you again. SMS, do let me know about these 'exceptional people' you know - have you invited them as well? ;-)

X9200, can we count you in too? Who else can make it?

Shall we settle on Beerfest then? Say 7.30pm kick-off?

Excellent Addadude, hope to see you there.

X9200, are you in? Anyone else?

SMS, maybe you could update the attendee list, I can't remember how to do that with the fancy colours :-)

7.30 pm on Friday the 19th at Beerfest - unless anything changes by then...
