Q1.
Where is your tax residency now if you have left Sg after having worked here for 9 years on an EP?

Scenario:
1. not working now, no income, a "floater" seeking next job in Sg or elsewhere.

Fact:
2. On EP, cancelled Dec 01 2017, left Sg 06 Dec 2017, UK Citizen.

Q2.
Does your permanent residency (and tax residency) revert back to your citizenship if you are not permanently resident (nor tax resident) in any other country?

Dunno if this will help.

The implication is that you would fall back to your citizenship, but I wouldn't know how that would work if they don't know where you are.

You can maintain zero tax residency by remaining outside all countries that tax based on residence for a minimum period. This is a technique used by a lot of offshore workers. It gets harder now due to bank account issues but I see people still do it.
