6 month work visa to S visa for new college grad?

Hello everyone,
I'm a new college grad (graduated from top 150 school according to shanghai index, for whatever that is worth) who would like to live and work in Singapore. I'm an English major who currently works at JP Morgan stock plan services explaining peoples' equity compensation plans to them, though soon I'll probably work at AXA selling life insurance.
I'm wondering how feasible it would be to come on a 6 month holiday work visa and try to turn it into something permanent (hopefully sponsorship for an S visa).
As for the job, I don't really care what it is as long as it gives me the PPP of my current 40k a year salary, though of course I'd prefer marketing/PR jobs.
