can singletons get a maid?

Post by guest29 » Thu, 17 Feb 2005 2:00 pm

Someone told me that you had to be married to get a maid. I wonder if the law has changed because it used to be that single people could also get one as long as you made at least $30k per year. Anyone know?

Try Calling Eileen 63440005. They should be able to help you with your query.

Alternatively, you could call MOM(Ministry of Manpower).

You can if you just say your married.

BTW you want to amke sure when you interview your maid that you do not give her uneccessary pressure if you are of different sexes. Asia even though more open then the west in some ways can be far more closed in certain circumstances that could lead to longtime problems.
