How long are you married?

I reckon, if you are married at least 2 years, you are a shoe-in. Else you might have to reapply one more time after you pass your 2nd anniversary. But seriously, I don't think you will have too much trouble.

Too early to apply. Very likely may be rejected and if you reapply after 2 years will be approved.

Why are you in a rush for PR? You can still work on your S Pass or get a Long Term Pass to work?

Almost 100% Guarantee you will get PR in the future unless something unforseen happens, so I wouldn't be too stressed if I was you.

Folk are commenting on your initial application , spousal sponsor less than 2 years is normally no , with a note from Govt saying , wait X amount of time and reapply for folk in your position as a Malaysian citizen.

Have you applied under the PTS system before?

Not applied under PTS system because also just recently upgraded to S Pass (previously holding work permit)

This is one reason they would not approve upfront. Secondly, they have a 3 years waiting period after PR before you are eligible to buy HDB in the resale market

Neither your wife , nor yourself should you get PR would be eligible to buy.

Its 3yrs from approval , so if you buying as a couple its 2021 probably when you will be eligible

Even if they did, it would have absolutely zero bearing on your application. If you are smart enough to apply for PR then you 'should' be smart enough to know that already.
