Any "Third Culture Kid - Adults" Out There?

Post by Luxmee » Mon, 20 Nov 2017 4:56 pm

So I've been back to Singapore for about a year now (I'm 23 F & Singaporean) but I spent most of my life growing up outside Singapore.

While I know essentially I am local, I just can't seem to fit in (I've been trying and continue to) and I know they get a bit uncomfortable since I'm different (fake to them) but it's so difficult to explain that I'm not trying to be someone else.

Just wondering if there's anyone else out there that can relate and if we could talk about your experiences and how you cope with the situation, that would be really amazing to meet some like minded people and make some genuine friends

I am - I grew up in PNG as an MK and consider myself a TCK.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!
