Hi everybody,
I would like some genuine advice on an issue I am facing now.
My first job in Singapore, under Work Permit, lasted 1 year and 5 months.
I worked as an Assistant Engineer in a Company A in Yishun, and decided to change my job to Jurong or Tuas area because I am currently studying part-time Degree in NTU. However, I ran out of luck. After searching from March 2017 to Oct 2017, I could not get a job near to that area.
Because of heavy politics back in Company A, I decided to quit as fast as possible. At one point of time, I worked until I was sick (MC for 2 days). I resigned in Sept 2017, and left in Oct 2017. I dispersed my resumes out mostly to companies in Jurong and Tuas area during Sept 2017. Three companies get back to me after two months (Nov 2017), but I already secured the job with Company B in Aljunied before I tender my resignation with Company A because I don't have the luxury to choose at the point of time.
2 days after started my job with Company B, Company C in Jurong contacted me. They are very interested in hiring me even they are well informed that I just started with Company B. I tried to be honest with them on why I was desperate to accept the offer from Company B and they accepted my explanation. Company D in Joo Koon approached me one week before Company C did, and I was straight away rejected because of my honesty and their reluctance on taking in jobhoppers.
I am currently under E Pass, and Company C is kind enough to wait for me, they are willing to initiate either S/E pass application around end of November, because they clearly understood that MOM just finished my EP approval around September, and MOM does not like jobhoppers.
Some of my background:
Nationality: Malaysian
Race: Chinese, 22 years old Female
Education background: Graduated from Engineering Diploma from local Polytechnic in 2016, under Scholarship, currently serving a 5 years Scholarship bond with the government and pursuing part time Degree in NTU at the same time.
Salary: 2.3k to 2.4k
Occupation: Company A & B: Asst Engineer; Company C: Programming Engineer
I came to know that Company C has not been using any of the S or E pass quota, and now I am very interested to join them. Can anybody rate my chances?

50-50 because you are from Malaysia. Else, I would say your chances are very low.642190 wrote:Hi everybody,
