Unable to Reschedule Appointment - PR

Post by ardise19 » Tue, 31 Oct 2017 10:54 am

Hi everybody,

Just asking if you have any experience like me.

I got my PR approval for my child on 16 Sept 2017 (newborn this year. Myself and the rest of the family are PR), and I got the letter around end of Sept due to traveling. I tried to book appointment, but then I only got the dates as 31 Oct 2017.

Fast forward to the date, I forgotten to apply acknowledgement letter from CPF board and MediShield Life. Then I contacted customer service, they say they will not proceed my application if document is not complete. They advises me to reschedule. The letter itself will take 3 days to process.

Now the problem is there is no available schedule in the next two weeks! My IPA will end at 16 Nov 2017. I tried to email ICA this morning, but not sure when they are going to reply (the automatic email says it will be answered after 5 days).

Has anybody got any experience like this before? If yes, what happened to you? Did they extend the IPA or they find you a schedule?

Wouldn't it be better to go in person or make a phone call with regards your issue.

E-mail is close to the worst means of communication when you are in a hurry.

And for some strange reason SG Govt organisations are moving away from email, preferring online feeeback portals and such.

They will surely respond to your email. Also if there is a valid need and you write to ICA, they are usually helpful enough to extend the validity of your IPA. Please don't panic....
