Hello!
I need lots of help, my husband is looking to be moved for work to Singapore. I would like to get some insights into what that means for me in terms of work.
I am a contact centre trainer (Insurance Background , over 10 years)
how easy is it to get a job in this industry, Will I need qualifications to do this. Is there a working permit required to do this.
Do you recommend registering with a recruitment company?
Thanks in advance
Penny

Help for Aussie moving to singapore
Re: Help for Aussie moving to singapore
Singapore job market is down, especially for expats who struggle to get passes, and in some industries which unfortunately includes insurance (but not as bad as Oil and Gas).
If your husband gets an EP then you can work on a Dependents pass using a "Letter of consent" (search it in the forum) but the companies need to understand this so you are limited to the larger international companies.
Definitely talk to some recruiters who specialise in Insurance and start getting the feelers out, but you will have absolutely no chance until you are physically here.
Good luck but don't set your expectations that you will get a job. Some trailing spouses do but you need to be dedicated and lucky.

Re: Help for Aussie moving to singapore
Thanks so much , I'd be willing to change industries if that helps. Are there any particular agencies you recommend?
Im open to any roles to be honest if that helps
