SC application

Hi I have a question regarding my SC application,

I am a Singapore PR and have applied for a Singapore Citizenship. Last week after 8 months of SC application (still waiting for IPA), I received an invitation letter from PA (People association) and National Integration Council to attend a chit chat session and also some activities. Is it the way ICA nowadays to access its candidate for SC? or it is normal for them to invite a Singapore PR for this event? I have been a Singapore PR for 4 years and they have never invited me for this kind of event or activity before. Hopefully, someone on this forum could give some information or have a similar situation as me.

PA recruiting .. obvious targets are PRs and SCs ..

Somewhere along the way, ICA added your IC to the Database, (hope you didn't chose DNC .. ) .. happens ..

As I said, NO.

PA/NIC has been doing this for a while.

Especially PA.

Anyway as Malaysian, you have good chance for SC.

Me too received same invitation from Kembangan Chai-Chee CC. That's an advertisements. Nothing else.

So did you join any of their activity or chit chat session in the end? and are you receiving this one also after applying your SC? Thanks anyway for the info!

I submitted SC application on Feb'16 together with my family. My SC application rejected on 11 May'17. I submitted an appeal on 16 May'17. I received the invitation to chit-chat session on end of Aug'17. I did not attend the chit-chat session as i assumed it was just an random invitation. My appeal for SC is still pending. Two months before i went to my neighborhood RC and expressed my willingness to become a volunteer. I submitted membership application. Until now i haven't get any response.

PR since 2008. My wife also PR. Just renewed REP. My three kids are foreigners (LTVP). Income 8000 PM. But race....Indian.

I hold two jobs. Audit Senior and another Company Director. Both paying CPF.
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Indian University. My wife studied Higher Secondary.
My 2 kids are studying in local primary school. Third one just 2 yrs old.
I did apply for PR for my kids before. Got rejected. Current PR application pending since October 2016.
My sister and brother got SC as they came here few years before me.

That sucks. You have done it right so hopefully your persistency is going to pay off sooner or later and this is "just" the race factor.
