"YOU ARE NOW A REGISTERED TRAVELLER"

Post by martincymru » Thu, 05 Oct 2017 11:35 am

Facts:

EP cancelled 03 Sept 2017.
Vacated Sg 28 Sep 2017.
Back to Sg 03 Oct 2017 (90 day visa - UK citizen).

Probable:

Start new job ~ 12 Oct 2017 (EP application 02 Oct 2017).

Question:

1. What is the impact / significance that I am a "registered traveller"?

2. Is this likely to be the case next time and every time I enter Sg (assuming no EP application made and/or EP refused) ?

As you have registered your fingerprints with Singapore’s immigration authority on arrival, you can enjoy a one-time use of the Automated Immigration Gates (AIGs) when departing Singapore.

It implies I am special traveller !

I provided fingerprints but so does every visitor now? Unless I am mistaken.

IMO, zero impact/significance.

I believe they haven't enforced finger printing for all travellers :D

Yes, you are special ;)
