PR application pending for 8 mth , any chance for approval ?
Hi there! I have been following this forum for quite awhile, appreciate if I can get some useful opinion from your.
I submitted my application in Mid Jan 2017, together with my 1 year old Son. My Husband submitted his own application separately .
Reason being is our last year application for whole family was rejected after 8 mth pending , appealed , waited for 7 mth and was informed rejected.
We have to leave our 1 yr old Son in Chia with patent as dependent pass was rejected, can only bring him in for a maximum 2 mth with tourist pass , that's quite sad.
My this year application is now come to 8 and half month pending time again , not sure what I will get from ICA in the end , sigh !
Again sigh !
What your think?

It is said if you didn't get rejected in 3-6 mth, you still have some chance!
Hopefully still some hope for me .
God please bring good luck to me!

Why do you think it would be any better to apply separately under your circumstances?

Well, since our last application for whole family (3 of us) was failed, may be applied as a family is not working for us though some say married with kids is a plus point which I don't think so after rejected.
And I'm desperately want to bring my kid in , perhaps 2 application can give me double chances, either one approved we can get LTVP for kid. My own thinking ~
God please bring good luck to me!

Applying separately should mean one of the following:
1) you think ICA are idiots and couldn't make any link to your earlier or current applications.
2) you are getting divorced
3) you are highly skilled, highly paid professionals who even when applying wants to show the world her/his independence.
4) you are desperate to that extent that you do counter logical things in blind hope for a miracle to happen
None of the above will make any positive impact comparing to the situation when you apply together as a family.
Your probably best chance is to progress with your salary, get a better pass etc. and reapply as the whole family after some time.

Curious on the dependent pass for your son; and maybe the answer is self-evident given your difficulty. But doesn't your and your wife's combined income exceed 5K / month?
Do they only consider the primary applicants salary and not the combined household salary?

You should also have a solid plan B because MOM is changing the dependent pass minimum salary criteria from 5K to 6K from 1st Jan 2018.
