Hello guys.. :D I'm new here. If anyone is thinking of going to taiwan for PS, here are some taiwanese surgeons websites i would like to share with u forumers. Forumer feline.eyes was the one who gathered all these websites and infos. *applause to her*

-Dr Ryan Hsu
www.ychsu.com

ENT specialist base in Kaohsiung who only does autologous rhinoplasty and only silicone chin implants. Autologous material can be derived from ear, ribcage and nose. He will be able to correct ENT and aesthetic issues. He was an understudy of Dr Dean Toriumi www.deantoriumi.com , who is reputed to be one of the top 5 rhinoplasty surgeons in the world. There are many reviews of him on this forum, including mine.

-Dr Jimmy Chuang
www.wishclinic.com.tw

A surgeon base in Taipei reputed to be one of the best mammoplasty surgeons in Taiwan. He is also widely noted for his blepharoplasty, epicanthoplasty and lateral epicanthoplasty.

-Dr Mike Tseng
www.aphrodite.com.tw

A surgeon that is really popular with the forumers at www.purseblog.com. All the reviews about his rhinoplasties I have read are very positive and the pictures speak for itself. Visit this thread for their reviews http://forum.purseblog.com/health-and-f ... 28183.html

-Dr Kao Chuan Hsiang
http://tw.myblog.yahoo.com/face-nose

He does autologous and artificial (silicone and goretex) implants). He is very well known in Taiwan and is frequently interviewed. He also provides mini face lifts, botox injections, restylane injections, blepharoplasty and chin augmentations.

-Dr Su

-Dr Zheng
- http://www.beautycare.com.tw/

-Dr Chang
- http://www.2youngclinic.com/

After weeks of indecisiveness on which korean/taiwan/singapore/thailand doc to go for my PS(rhinoplasty), i decided to go for Dr Kao after hearing many good reviews about him.

Or u can go to: http://www.singaporeexpats.com/forum/ftopic50308.html for the reviews on the above docs

Don't go to Dream. I just had the most terrible experience there and the Head Suregon there screwed up my eyes badly, all i wanted is to fix my eyelids, but he ended up changing my eyeshape not for the better but for worse to create a very PS, deep, mean slanted look ( i used to have round eyes ). i advise all to stay away from there as the surgeon there does not listen and just do what he thinks is beautiful scientifically. Feel free to PM me if you need more info
milk~ wrote:Hi wannabepretty,
Im also quite tempted to go to dream clinic. Could you please share more with me like which are the better clinic in korea? As most of their websites were in korean and i cant understand abit. =)
wannabepretty18 wrote:I emailed Dream Clinic a couple of times but it appears they don't respond to email. :( Kinda disappointing and that turned me off the clinic for a while but someone on this thread went to them and seemed to have a pretty good experience. I can't remember who exactly but if you look at some of the previous entries I'm sure you'll find it. They have English speaking doctors as well and that along with the good results shown by Soompiers who went to him convinced me. :)

If I go to Korea I'll probably be checking that clinic out. Along with Migo and a couple of recommended clinics.

Nose job/ rhino in taipei - seeking travel companion

Post by redruby2294 » Sat, 18 Apr 2009 7:20 pm

Hi,

Anyone heading to Taipei from mid May to mid June 2009 for nose surgery/ rhinoplasty? I will be there for about 3 weeks to a month (just bought myself a 1-way air ticket!) and would like to find a buddy to share accommodation cost (serviced apartment) and companionship during the miserable recovery phase. E-mail me at [email protected].

SKN doesn't perform cosmetic surgery. They only provide procedures that are non-invasive.

Hi guys,

I am new here. I have been reading so many posts lately. I have one big qns to ask, i have come to realise the charges for rhinoplasty in singapore and taiwan (plus air ticket and accomodation) are not much of a difference yet why are everyone going to taiwan for nose job?

Also, if there are any complications we cant possibly fly back and do a revision?

Confused and very keen to do a nose job in Aug!

Cheers!

That's because Taiwanese plastic surgeons are more experienced.

yes but u said "As a general rule, would not a good/skilled doctor chages more". sg docs charge super high but dun deliver the best results, that debunks ur statement immediately.

just dun want to perpetuate the myth that cost = quality
Next: Forehead augmentation, botox, RF

I'm looking to get a revision some time at the end of the year or in January. I want to use rib cartilage to subtly augment the bridge and give it more definition. At the moment I am considering Toriumi, Nassif, overseas, or anyone else I come across who is skilled with Asian nasal augmentation with rib grafting. If I go overseas, I would like a travel buddy, so if you're interested let me know. I live in Las Vegas currently.

A little history/update: I got rhinoplasty with silicone implant and ear cartilage graft back in October 2008 in Beverly Hills. I hated the results... I thought my bridge looked too high and unnatural. Also, the implant was crooked. In November, I had the implant replaced with one that is supposedly smaller, but thicker on the top. I didn't like the way it looked either for whatever reason. I thought it made my nose look huge, and I didn't look Asian anymore. So in January, I took the implant out, and left the ear cartilage in.

It's been 4 months since I took the implant out and I'm not very happy about my nose. It usually looks okay to me in the mirror, unless I view it from different angles. In pictures, it looks really bad. My bridge is now wide and blobby looking from the scar tissue. The ear cartilage left to my tip makes my nose looks overprojected.

I've been looking at old pictures and realized that I didn't look that bad when I had the implant in. However, I think I looked the best pre-op. I didn't need a nasal implant. But now that my nose is tweaked with scar tissue and ear cartilage graft, I think I will need to "reconstruct" it somewhat. I am looking into getting a revision at the end of the year/early next year, to wait a year, as advised. I think the best thing for me to do now is to augment the bridge slightly (not too much, because I recall hating the way I looked with a high bridge) probably with rib cartilage. I might consider gortex... but silicone seems to be out of the question since I've had two unsatisfied trials with silicone already. I really want this to be my last rhinoplasty, and rib seems ideal.

If you have any recommendations for doctors overseas who are skilled at rib grafting, please let me know. I'm Chinese and speak Cantonese, and I prefer someone who speaks Cantonese or English so I can effectively communicate.

Thanks for reading.

People who are not satisfied

Post by Zorens » Mon, 11 May 2009 2:21 am

I have a question for those who are not satisfied and satisfied with their nose. What is your is goal?
Do you want to look natural with slight high bridge so you wont draw attentions that you had a plastic surgery or you want to look Eurasian?

I personally want to look Eurasian even though if my friends can tell I had a surgery. I want more drastic change. That is my goal. It's been three years I've been doing a lot of research. Now time has come. I want to get my nose done next month.

I've seen a lot of dissatisfaction from BK Clinic, dream clinic or any clinics just by reading a lot of comments here. I want to know WHY. Are you trying to maintain your Asian look while pursuing a nose job? What is the problem?

For me as a Filipino man, I want a drastic change, I want to have a high nose bridge and a strong chin. I don't care if it eliminates my Asian heritage. I am desperate to get my nose done. The problem is Dr. Jung won't answer my emails he is my #1 choice. I have no choice but BK clinic. Where do Korean Celebreties go? With my goal (EURASIAN LOOK), will have a problem in BK clinic?

I have more questions. I'm still pissed at Dr. Jung I emailed him like 3 times. Still no answer wtf is going on. Can someone help me? Any good seurgeons in Seoul? Where do Korean Celebreties go? Please help me, I am running out of time.

I'm going for a Nose job-high bride and probably a chin implant to balance my face. Should I go to Dr. Chuang or BK DongYang in Korea? Is there a better clinic than BK?

Another question SILICONE vs GORTEX which is better? I heard and seen so many bad side effects of silicone but the surgeons in seoul reccommend it so i dont know. What do you guys think?
