Hi Winstwinst wrote:Hello everyone,
New poster here, but veteran reader. I've finally decided to take the jump from "planning" a surgery trip to actually booking it-- and now I'm wondering if anyone has, is, or will be undergoing similar treatments. And, if you're going to Korea at the same time, definitely let me know as well (and maybe we can wallow in our recovery-agonies together!)
I'm basically asking Dr. Kim to gauge whether my face could use fat grafts or small silicone implants on one side of my face to balance out an underdeveloped left jaw/ left cheekbone. Of course, the possibility of reaching true symmetry is nil, but I'm looking just to make both sides equally "attractive."
Anyway, here are my questions: have any guys here had either jaw or cheek implants with positive results? Even better, if you've had a bad experience, please let me know what your expectations were and how the surgery turned out.
I'm a guy with a long face and a little extra fat in the mid-face region; a bloated day vs. a good day makes a HUGE difference in how I look, because all of my so-called "angles" are quite delicate -- this is where I'm most concerned, as any over-correction will surely not look right (since I'm only getting the surgery on one side of my face).
Also, I'm staying for nine days total, and I'm wondering what is most important for a speedy recovery (and whether nine days is enough time to see whether any problems will develop post-surgery).
Lastly, is Dr. Kim the best out there for implants, or is there another Korean doctor with less hype but better results? Is it best to stay at one of the hotels recommended by the clinic?
Thanks for reading through all that, and I hope some of my questions can be answered

Hey there! Did you just have implants done, or was it a jaw correction surgery?graysnow wrote:
Hi Winst
I went for jaw surgery 1.5 years ago and the result turned out to be great. However, the recovery period is a bit painful.
