la vie en rose wrote:Hi Theface,

Well my surgery story is quite long. It will be difficult for me in English, I try…

I was born with small tip, no bridge. 3 years ago, after a business trip in Seoul, I took an address from my Korean colleague (She did nose and chin, she looked good) and did my first surgery at Reborn clinic (I thought it was the only and last one). I chose 3mm I shape silicone as I wanted to look natural. :D
2 weeks after I received a punch on my face :???: (it was an accident), as the implant moved on one side, I flew back to Seoul. The doctor had the kindness to redo surgery for me. However few months after, my nose was a little deviated, then more and more, then my tip was white, then red…As the doctor has never answered to my mails, I wrote to other doctors, they told me that my L shape implant had moved and the skin of my tip was damaged :( . What a bad surprise! The doctor changed the implant to a L shape in the 2sd surgery without asking my opinion and I still don't understand why he did so?! :x

After a lot of research, in July this year, I did revision in BK Clinic, Seoul. Reasons why I chose Dr. Kim:
1) Technically speaking, he must be good, his business is so good, so many patients
2) He has a clinic in Shanghai, he comes there every 2 weeks for surgery, easier for follow up in case of need.
I chose gore-tex and I wanted the same height (final result) as the previous surgery.

5 weeks after the surgery my nose suddenly stopped swelling, I was so disappointed to see in the mirror:
1) A big tip with a very low bridge
2) There is always a white shadow on top of the bridge (between 2 eyes) under the light :o
3) View from left side under the light: there is a white shadow line along the bridge. The implant can be see through the skin on the picture
4) When I get closer to the mirror I can see a hollow line on the bridge at the eye level. When I touch it, I can feel there are 2 implants. On the right side, they are not well attached and I can feel a small hole. The left side is well attached and is higher than the right side. :x
5) Since few weeks, I sneeze every morning and have a running nose at night. I don’t know whether it’s because of gore-tex. :???:

I sent pictures to Dr. Kim and asked him question about the above. He didn’t answer to the questions, he just said that, my nose was not too big, not too small and I didn’t have infection, so he refused to redo surgery for me! :x

I kept on send him my pictures every week (goretex reduced every week), at the end, 2 weeks ago, he invited me to fly to Korea for the revision. As I insisted to do it in Shanghai, he refused the revision again. :x Actually, I suspect that he was not the one to do the surgery for me. You know, the day of the surgery, after the consultation, I was accompanied by a nurse to the surgery room and had never seen him again. After the surgery, I saw another young Korean doctor in the room, preparing medicine for me. And during the week of my stay in Seoul, every day I went to his clinic to clean my nose, there were so many patients at different time… it’s really impossible to make surgery to so many patients by one doctor.

Well this is my story with 2 Korean doctors. I really don’t know where and how to find a good doctor????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way Dr Hsu told me he is fully booked in December. I asked him whether it will be possible on January the 30th.
Still don’t receive answer from dr. Jung, I have just left a message on his online consultation. Can I still trust Korean doctor?
Hi la vie en rose,

Sorry to hear about your experience.

Now it just adds another bad comment to the BK clinic. There's already been quite some complaints about their attitude and "production" mentality of the doctors. Like they rush you in and out....

About running nose from goretex.. have not heard of such side effects.

I hope you'd find the right doctor for you soon.... Good luck :D

la vie en rose,

It sounds like you have more Caucasian skin than Asian skin... Generally, Caucasian skin does not tolerate artificial implants well. Goretex can be used but very exactly and in very low amounts. This is due to the fact that your skin is so much thinner. Also, any mess up from the doctor will show since the skin is so much thinner.

Before going into surgery, Dr. Chuang stated that on senior patients, when goretex was used, when they stretch their skin they can see a little white... though you are not old, your skin may be thin and that much goretex may be visible.

Maybe you should email some American doctors to see what they say... I feel for your situation, they are probably the best.

I did a rhinoplasty revision using goretex in July in BK Clinic, Seoul. Need revision again (I hate surgery! :x ), would like to get information of Taiwanese/Korean doctors using cartilage/rib, I have contacted dr. Rayn Hsu 许英哲 and dr. Jung Dong Hak since last week, no answer. I also hear about 高全祥 from Taiwan, anyone has his website and e-mail address. I am now living in Shanghai, it's very difficult to get info from Taiwan or Hong Kong, Websites info are under control by Chinese Government.

Thanks a lot!
dear la vie,

sorry to hear the not so good news from your nose jobs so far, my only suggestions is that to reduce any more unhappiness, maybe you can define as clearly as possible with every single detail from Cm to even mm and the width height, curve angle etc to the doctors. also i would also hope you to try doctors, only who are proven in this forums or others. lastly i prefer doctor who are more personal and dun own PS franchise or PS saloons. as this will ensure u get proper attention and the doctor is not overworked or too busy earning money than horning their skills.

also i dun suggest doctors who work for other PS clinics or saloon and dun own their clinic. accept maybe those from hospitals, coz one may never find the doc if anything blotched and usually the clinic are areadi imdemify from any bad jobs by that doc. also doc who own their clinic have reputation and liability to upheld.

if money is not ur concern, i would suggest u do more search about dr toruimi, he is my reserach interest now. possible rating A-, abv dr jung who i personally rates B+

Good luck to your Quest for more beauty! take care

After looking at dr chuang's new website, it seem to me he is more well known for breast jobs than nose jobs in taipei actually.

Hi Who and other Dr Chuang Patient,

Are you all still satisfied with the nose job and has it recovered? Care to describe to me more and post new photos on it?I really appreciate it.

I am going to operate at the end of this year and I was wondering if 2 months is enough to look normal and presentable to others.

I'm going to do my eyebag as while, does any one has any experience with Dr Chuang or Jung? Thanks.

Hi all,

i'm 2 wks post surgery by dr chuang, did nose and eyes. Now, my tip is still very big and fleshy. As per pre surgery like that

And my eyes are not balanced as well. Right eye is bigger than my left one. Anyone here experience the above?

I've email dr chuang, awaiting his reply.

For the eyes, not to worry.
Different eyes recover at different speed. Its the swell that making it look different. Which technique did you opt for? If its cutting method, try wait for 3 months to conclude. For me, its almost a year and its still a little swollen. I am a slow recoverer. Lol.

For the nose, which method did you opt for? Gortex or silicon? Its actually very normal that your nose swell after 2 weeks of operation. Esp if you choose catalige for the tip, it recover slower. Again wait for 3 to 6 months to see the result.

I did 'I' silicon with open method, along with tiplasty, tip defatting and alarplasty.
For eyes, i did epicanthoplasty and mini-incision.
All above procedures are recommended by dr chuang.

However, my nose is still very board, like jackie chan's nose  Close friends who've seen me at 2 wks post op said i looked funny :???:
Now i cant smile showing my upper set of teeth, don't know how to go to work like that.

I did my eyes to correct the 'ta siao yan' but the problem remains. It's so obvious that my mum asked whether the doc did a good job a not.

I've been putting hot pack everyday but doesnt seem to help with the swelling. I don't wish to do revision. Guess now i can only [-o< .

Hello84: i cant pm yet, you can find my answer above.

After nose surgery it will take a while before u can smile properly...if uv read my previous posts, it took me a month before i could smile normally, I think u really need some time for it to heal.
