I have been reading the your posting regarding dr jung... i saw him in june when i was there ps shopping.. was quite comfortable with him though his rates are a little steep. :)

I am planning to go there in dec for ps with him. Still deciding about my nose shape. I am also into mian xiang. I am wondering where did you get the reference books from? I always find the chinese version in the book stores. I can't read chinese tt well. hoping to look for english version.

do you have any to recoomend? or any master you go to?

your posting is very indeed very informative. :)

thanks.
mermaid: thanks! juz giving back to this forum as our predecessor has done.

for mian xiang you can buy english books by joey yap. he writes well and uses classical format. if u buy chinese books buy those with pictorials, it will help.

FYI, after today's discussion with dr jung, i will not go for revision in 3 wks that. he said my alar will be pulled down by my nose tip lengthening and the lengthening will take 6 months to see full effects. therefore, i may go in 3-4 mths time (sep or oct) for 2nd time fat grafting n 3rd time fat grafting together with revision (if necessary in dec.) maybe, those who wanna go can join me. :P

further info abt dr jung's clinic: he works on sat full day (for those who want to fly in on fri night.)

cheers!

Are we allowed to take Sinnech on the plane? I'd rather buy it from a local store here since I don't even know if Korea offers it over there. :?

TO JOVIN

Post by jeanny » Fri, 29 Jun 2007 4:59 am

Hi Jovin,

Congrats! Your eyes look great. I've a question on botox. How do you go about doing it? Just walk in the clinic/salon and have the injection and that's it? Will my cheeks swell like "bah zhang" after injection? Are there anything that I've to pay attention to? I did my eyes and nose in March, not sure can have botox now? Was considering of going to nu reflections.

How did you pay? If you paid by credit card and cash, how much of each?

I am planning on paying with half USD and half credit card.
I do not have enough CASH on HAND and will pay the rest amount in credit card.

I will be having Rhinoplasty.
usernameblah: did dr. Jung revert yesterday? fyi, i paid all in credit card - not an issue at all.

find it really strange for docs who dun accept credit cards, esp. for foreign patients. hope they r not expecting us to lounge around with stash of cash.

cheers.

USD7750. let dr. Jung know you r from this forum. on nose, his prices r fixed, but on others procedures, u'll get good discounts.

If u r staying at his apartment, pls bring yr own towels. the room can be quite hot cos air-con is not strong. but for me, my 1st priority is to be near the clinic.

dun forget stuff like dry shampoo cos it is tough to wash yr hair 1st 3 days without wetting the wounds. the recep of his clinic can order food for you if u cannot get out of the building during the 1st 3 days.

other toiletries (such as cotton bud for cleaning) u can buy just right across the road beside FedEx and Burger King. There are supermkts. A nice bakery (yummy cheese cakes and sandwiches), nail palour, and Starbucks is juz downstairs of the building. Hawkers selling fruits is on left of main road. I brought tonic and cooked my own food from day 3 onwarrds.

i kept drinking green tea, organic honey and gallions of water - it helps cos my scars are really not visible today (8th day)!

i cld tap into wirless internet while there. did my work and kept my sanity. :P

their cleaner only speaks korean n she can be quite 'lazy'...tried using sign language to make her clean the toilets, and other areas.

IF you really cannot take minimal accommodation, try http://www.coatel.co.kr/english/home/home.html dr. Jung's office can book it at cheaper rate of KRW 90,000/nite (before taxes) for studio room. i cld see coatel's building from the apartment thus is shld be abt 10-15 min walk.

dr Jung's secretary arranged for aiport pickup which they pre-paid. i paid KRW60,000 for my cab on return to Incheon airport.

yeah, bring Sinnech, dr. Jung allows it with his medications.

good luck :-)

I'm not Jovin, haha. But I did Botox on jaws together with other procedures like nose, facial lipo and lips reduction. I can't see the effect of my botox at all cus my face is still swelling up till now(3 weeks post-op). Kinda regretted doing botox together, should have do it two months after those surgeries. But in my humble opinions, it should be fine 2-3 months after your surgery. And by right, it wouldn't hurt and there's no downtime. That is for botox on jaws, unless you're referring to botox for wrinkles then it's a different thing. :)

DMN: how are you now? still healing fine? i bought joey yap's mian xiang book. i find it quite useful for beginners cos he got pictures(computer 3D) so it helps you sort of be able to regconise some face shapes first. or else they keep on drawing the buddha face(those chinese books) i cannot tell. or lagi worst, say things like rounnded.ill be like. huh? rounded? what ou mean by rounded? but i wuod say the book is supposed to be a compliment for his videos(super ex) which is a at home compliment for his seminars. if he ever holds a seminar in sing, i will want to go. too bad, now all only on feng shui.

i always wondered. how do you open your mouth and tell him that you're from this forum. a bit wierd right?

also, can we get the driver to send us to our hotel first to put our luggage before proceding to dr jungs? he do provide free driver service i rmb. wonder has it changed.

DMN!! u back already?? i forgot to tell u don take the cab to the airport.. it very expensive!! nearly 100SGD!!
i took the bus to the airport, which is only 13000 won. a normal bus cost 8000 won, i took the deluxe which cost me 13000won. it fast, and quite comfy too..
pai say, should have tell u early.

anyway guys, to whoever that going to korea, if u going to Jung, arrange the pick up from airport with the clinic. and for transit back to airport. check with ur hotel where is the nearest airport bus pick up point, and take a cab to the the pick up point, which is normally very near, approx cab fare about 2000won. den take the bus to airport either choose 8000won or deluxe 13000won. it still way way much cheaper then taking a cab all the way to airport and convenient too.

i forgot the website for the airport bus.. will check again and post here.. if not Dr Zhou the taiwan doc can provide u the info too..

oh one more thing!! very impt.. at least to me.. hehe..
if u guys see a bigger taxi like those 7 seater MPV.. try not to take, cos once u get in, the meter will start at 4000 won instead of normal size cab at only 1900won. half the fare!! alot lor.. and their meter jump damn fast.. everytime i took, look the meter jumped so fast, my heart beat also 'jump' as fast!! nearly heart attack! :o
