Hi grumpy, what do you mean by reacting badly? I think it was fine, I was asleep all the way and when I woke up hours later, the surgery was already over. I've never gone for any surgery nor been jabbed with any kind of anethesia before this too, so I guess you don't have to worry. :) Ah and yes, there was an anathestist there.

Hi Kalyn,

Thanks for the reply! Some types of GA may make people feel like vomitting when they wake up, so I'm worried!! Hee... not good if my nose is swollen and i feel nauseous! And I'm also afraid I may not wake up cos some people react badly to anaesthesia and die! Am I super paranoid or what!

Very happy to hear that you felt fine and that there's an anaesthetist taking care of you. May you heal very beautifully!! I soooooo can't wait to go there and do it now. Counting down the days...

And oh, is Deja Vu really just a 10min walk from the clinic? Were you able to walk back to the hotel after you woke up? I can't imagine doing that by myself at night and not falling over or getting lost. Like very traumatising...

I think for men, Dr C's recommendations will be different right? According to what I read in this thread, he had done goretex for Imjase instead of silicon. For me, he immediately said Korean L implant plus alar plus tip.

I'm staying for 10 days but haven't decided on the hotel. Deja Vu just sounds a bit dodgy and like love hotel leh. I really don't know. I'm thinking maybe the Fullerton or Les Suites Da An nearby.

hellos! when are you intending to visit dr chuang? i don't wanna travel aloneeeeeeeeeeee. yeah, NT 60 000, reasonable..i calculated and think the total amt of $ spent will be S$5k plus..including air tics, accom..(not SQ of course) weird thing is..dr chuang didn't recommend me Korean L implant! haha, i also have wide, fleshy and round nose..but he said the material and implant is up to me..more and more going for dr chuang..lol. :D

wow, so good! i want fullerton too, but my budget doesn't allow me to, cause after 1 week in tw, i'm flying to tokyo, for 4 days, before flying to us . so..i have to think more about shopping and spending in tokyo and us instead of living luxuriously in tw. :)

yes, i had a weak receding chin, so got double chin, but the chin implant got rid of it, face also look thinner.

only problem i have now is the sides still look fat, cos the chin only managed to improve the look from the front, so thinking of jaw implant. but after seeing imjase, i'm thinking shld i do bone shaving also? cos i dun want too square, want a sharp face like wang lee hom
Next: Forehead augmentation, botox, RF

Hey guys!!
It's been 2 days now that I had rhinoplasty with dr Chuang, and my face is swelling (specially around my eyes and cheeks, but my nose, not that much)

I think that dr C. is friendly and patient, his nurses are just correct, not friendly as himself, maybe because I can't speak mandarin :?
The receptionist acts like a bimbo

I discussed with dr C during 5 min, which nose I want,to get it smaller, but don't want to have a caucasian nose.He said that he'll use silicon implant 'cause it will be easier to remove it,in case of another surgery in the future.
Then he took pictures of my nose and go to the surgery room.
I didn't have General Anaesthesia,so I was conscious during the operation and began to feel pain and headhache at the end.I didn't fall asleep after that, just got some rest in a room for half an hour and return to my guesthouse by train.

The operation began at 15h30 pm and I leaved the clinic at 20h00 pm.
Today,I will remove my stitches, and I'm happy that I don't have bruises or bleeding.I just can't breathe with my nose and it's uncomfortable, but that's all.Except that,I feel fine and dr C. told me that I can eat everything, except no spicy food, cigarettes, alcohol.
The first thing I ate after my surgery was donuts  Donuts rules !!!

For your reccord,I don't take sinecch, and dr Chuang doesn't recommend me to take it,because sinecch is not authorized in this country, and you can't buy sinecch in Taiwan.

Foubelle:You' re right,I'm very happy with my new nose, much smaller than before, even 2 days after OP.I also think that healing depends on your mood;if you feel depressed, you'll heal slowly and the swelling too.

I just feel a little pain around my stitches but I got pills for that.Today I can breathe easily,it's like you catched a cold, but it will be gone after 2 ou 3 days.

I'm not staying at deja vu hotel, but in a cheap guesthouse next to the main station (3000 NT the week) I prefer spending money for shopping :P
The nose job costs 60 000 NT and I will stay in Taiwan for 2 weeks.

Hello!

I am going to Dr. Jung next week. So nervous....

Just some info I found this morning for sharing.....Pls see this attachment and link for Dr. Toriumi's view on Rhinoplasty. 2 main observations:

1. He uses only rib cartilage for bridge and observes his patients over long period of time. Apparently, most US and Europe PS no longer use artificial implants as the findings r that eventually one will hv to go for revision in 10-15 yrs latest. Some may go thru first 15yrs with no problem and one day for no reason the body will reject the implant.

2. There r 2 stages of healing. The primary healing stage is from the procedure. While second stage healing is over long term when scar contracture occurs - resulting in further narrowing of the nasal structure over the patients lifetime.

In cases where surgeons r keen to pleased patients they will design their nose smaller so tt the initial stage looks good n heal fast. However, the patients will find that they need make to revision over time - when it becomes too small or the tip becomes too small/sharp.

Personally, I think his aft op photos look good except the tip of his Asian patients are too small n narrow for Asian identity.

cheers,
