I went to him with no pictures, no directions, just asked him what he thought, and let him do it. My nose is now as high as that Song hye actress that everyone keeps talking about. Of course, there is even higher like Liu Yi Fei (but my face doesn't suit that)... but anyway, he's very good at reducing alar by a large amount... even when you don't ask him.
I don't think he is conservative at all!

Usually if the doctor recommends not to, there is a reason... and you can't assume that it is a lack of skill.
who: i'd just like to say that this is a tremendous assurance for me since i'm seriously considering dr chuang (almost 90% sure going to him year-end), but i was worried that the change wouldn't be as dramatic as i wanted. thanks for sharing and enabling me to feel assured :)

Hi foubelle,

Ur mum might have her point in the phrase, but i've read in a women's magazine, theres a page on plastic surgery reviews, there's this article from experts saying that even if u change ur outlook features by doing plastic surgery, it wont really change the face reading fate though....??

hahas. ocean11, you're so funny. i'm still deciding between korea and taiwan. havent decided yet because they seem to be about the same with korea having better skills but taiwan has a more reasonable price(yet still good) so i dont know. :???:
i like to have a better face shape mah. maybe cos my mum told me that nv ren lian xing hao, ming ye hui hen hao(rough translation: woman with a good face shape will have a good life) then i want a good life.

harajuka girl,

People can't predict how dramatic their results will be. Some people's face suit a high bridge. others don't... results are more dependent on other factors other than the doctor.

some people when they get double eyelid, it makes their eyes MUCH bigger... for others, there is little difference in size. And, they can be done by the same doc...

good luck, btw!

katiya

Post by katiyalooca » Sat, 09 Jun 2007 7:12 am

hi
i plan to go to korea to get my nose and eyes done. those who are interested can go to the bk website and click on simulation, i'm katiya, basically the latest 4 pics that has been uploaded.

i'm busily (ha, is that even a word) saving up the money. i live in canada, so it'll be quite a bit to save up the plane ticket and all the living expenses to go overseas for this. so far, i have a grand saved

is anyone interested in coming with me to seoul sometime next year, possibly in june/july? i would have enough money saved up by then. i am applying for dentistry this year, and FINGERS CROSSED..hopefully be accepted and begin my dentistry program next year sometime in august or september next year.

i'm a very easy going 22 year female, and just want to have a companion with me in a foreign country that's all. Preferably somebody who is also interested in going to do ps at either BK clinic or the famous kind surgeon Dr. Jung.

By the way, I've been keeping up with the latest posts, and it seems that Dr. Jung is cheaper than Dr. Kim? Could someone please post up the approximate prices for rhinoplasty and double eyelid surgery for both docs?

I consulted with Dr. Kim online, and he stated these prices for me.

Nose 5000-6000
double eyelid surgery 1500-3000
all usd

Thanks, and looking for your replies!!
can anyone post their before and after pics from Dr. Kim here? just wondering if he really is all that good.(i mean person pics, not just his example photos already on the website)

katiyalooca,

omg im from canada too! i live in toronto... wow nice to find someone from there :) Unfortunately im going to Dr Chuang in Taipei though, cause i feel more comfortable in Taipei since i speak mandarin. Also the price is better-nose job should set me back less than 1.9k CND, and i really feel Dr Chuang's skills are very good... he studied under Dr Kim in Korea. Anyways i understand how you feel about going to a foreign country, especially with the super expensive plane tickets. I dont even think Air Canada flys to Taipei, so im taking a greyhound to US then flying United to Taipei..haha. Im probably going in Sept and also trying to find someone to go with... Anyways Good luck with everything!

Hey shoegirl!!

Wow, you live in Toronto eh, i'm applying to U of T so who knows, I may get lucky and be asked for an interview over there, hehe..

Hmm...sounds like many ppl on this board is going to Dr. Chuang or Dr. Jung instead of kim.

Money and his attitude aside, do you think their skills are superior to kim??

Oh, and what's Dr. Chuang's website anyway?

p.s. shoegirl, have you heard of thewinekone from youtube, isn't he from toronto

This is achieved through epicanthoplasty and lateral canthomy. Any surgeons in Korea, taiwan, japan are able to produce that.

As to whether if you are able to stand out like Ayumi's , it all depends on your natural eye shape and contour....

I had seen some people going for it and their eyes had turn out better than ayumi's.

Your area of eye black is widely exposed and this brightens the eye.

Also, sometimes, it's no point explaining so much in details.

For anyone considering plastic/reconstructive/cosmetic surgeries, it all depends on your natural attributes, some people just have the typical face for surgery, they turned out to be more prettier, more enhanced.

While others with the similar procedures done, may just look normal and not stand out as compared to others.

As long as you keep a positive and realistic view, and you discuss your objectives with your surgeon, you can make the best out of your surgery.
