Chiqita,

If this place you stayed at walking distance to Jung's clinic? Also how much do they charge per night?
chiqita wrote:Hi DMN,

I did mine just 6 weeks back. Perhaps you should consider taking Sineech to help minimise swelling. Accommodation wise, I stayed at the Twin Haus, Naksungdae which is not too far away from Gangnam where Dr. Jung's clinic is. Set back is, it's right on a hill but at least very convenient if you need to see Dr. Jung almost every alternate days the first 5 days after the surgery.

Good luck and all the best!

Hi chiqita,

How long ago did you do yr nose with Dr. Jung? Sorry, I cld go back the pages but there are simply too many of them.

I am checking with Ocean11, cos Dr. Jung has not replied my mails for some days :-( I wld like to squeeze in other procedures such as brow lift , fat transplant and lower blepharoplasty.....IF I can be 'see-able' in 14 days. Otherwise, I'll just for second round in July. But, I am scared tt doing a second round may hinder my nose (to be done in end Jun)....

sigh... so lost.

Anyway, now I am panicking cos have to do many last minute bookings and checks. If anyone has any suggestions or input or experience in going to Dr. Jung - accomodations, advice etc. PLEASE let me know!!

Anyone going to Dr. Jung around 25 Jun?

Thanks in advance!

cheers,
dmn

BlueberryMochi,

Can you stay there as long as you like? Also, how about food?

BlueberryMochi wrote:DMN,
If you are planning to do many procedures at once, i think it's better you stay at the apartment above dr.Jung's clinic. Just in case you need the nurse/doc assistance, can just come down. It's US$50 per night. got internet access, tv, refrigerator.

LAGirl,

How come they did not remove all the sutures? Perhaps Jovinliu will be able to shed some light on this... esp the bit about your skin growing over the unremoved sutures. That is scary!

In terms of the uneven swelling, you mean the swelling on one eye is more than the other? Did you have a look at Jovinliu's pics? Is it like that? Also what kind of crease did you ask for?

It’s been about one month since I had my eyes and nose done with Dr. Chuang and I just wanted to check in with everybody else to make sure the things I’m experiencing are normal:

1. Dr. Chuang told me that when you have an alar reduction there is an internal stitch / suture there that will not dissolve for over a year in order to keep the nostrils in place. Currently, when I try to smile, my top lip, bottom lip and nostril area do not line up – is this normal? (I’m also unable to crack a full smile b/c the area feels really tight).

2. I also noticed that there are leftover suture/ stitch heads near my epicantoplasty scars. I had pointed this out to Dr. Chuang after his nurse removed most of the sutre / stitches but Dr. C told me that they should fall out by themselves…now I’m getting kind of worried because the new skin is growing over the stitches that weren’t removed. Has this happened to anyone else and if so, what was the end result? Should I take tweezers and try to remove them myself?

Sigh…it’s been almost a month since my surgery and my eyelids are still very thick and very uneven. I’m hoping it’s swelling still but now I’m scared this will be the final result…

Hey leenaaaa -
thanks for responding...i dunno...after the nurse removed the sutures i saw that there were some leftover... but Dr. C said that b/c they are small stitch heads -- they should fall out by on their own ...i just wanted to find out how long before other people's leftover small stitch heads fell out?

anyway, i just took a look at jovinliu's pictures - hers came out really nice. no, mine is nothing like that...WAY more swollen. her crease size is a lot lower than mine. i asked for medium crease but i don't think it's the size of the crease... the lid itself looks heavy and the eye size (not the eyelid size) is what is not even...

also, does anyone have any advice on the alar situation? i miss being able to crack a full smile...my upper lip is still so stiff...:(

DMN, Yea I totally understand how your friend feels! That is why I won't be going back to him for a revision. GRRRR! Who did your friend end up going to for her revision?

Ocean11,

Haha, glad to hear that you are feeling better. Ohh, you did alar as well? I didn't think you needed alar reduction. You must have a tiny nose now!!

Oooohhhhhhhhhhhh I am sooooooooooooooooooo gien... to do my nose.

I am only thinking of doing my eyes this time with Chuang, but am feeling a little worried after reading LAgirl's post about the uneven size of eyes. Aiks! Now I am a little worried!

actually i always think that i don need alar! cos i already find it quite small compare to most of my frens.. but i was wrong.. i do need!!
when during the consultation, Jung asked me if he can reduce the side of the nose for me? i said: u are the professional, u now best. do wat u think is best for me
so he did!! and he was rite! it make the diff! just now, i look at my before photo and now.. ya, agreed.. my tip quite big.. i nvr realise cos i kept focusing on my height of the bridge but not the tip..
well.. thanks to him again.. lucky he did it for me.. else i will have to make the hassle to come back again for revision..

Dr Chuang huh? don know lay.. but party with jovin 2 fri ago, her eyes very natural lay! don look like under the knife b4.

i quit smoking 2 weeks before hand.. and now i don have the urge wor.. mabe i really can quit it once and for all!!
u beta don smoke huh!! bad for healing!!

I am only thinking of doing my eyes this time with Chuang, but am feeling a little worried after reading LAgirl's post about the uneven size of eyes. Aiks! Now I am a little worried! Maybe I'll just do a fat graft to my eyes to correct the sunkenness. Going all the way there must do something right?!?!? Hehe I'm taking 2000mg of Vit C per day now with 50mg Zinc supplements. Kiasu I know but well better safe than sorry right? Also, I was supposed to quit smoking already but was so stressed out about getting sick that I couldn't.... gonna wait till 1 week before I leave. How long before surgery did you quit smoking? I only stopped a week before when I had my first op.
