Hi chiqita,

How long ago did you do yr nose with Dr. Jung? Sorry, I cld go back the pages but there are simply too many of them.

I am checking with Ocean11, cos Dr. Jung has not replied my mails for some days :-( I wld like to squeeze in other procedures such as brow lift , fat transplant and lower blepharoplasty.....IF I can be 'see-able' in 14 days. Otherwise, I'll just for second round in July. But, I am scared tt doing a second round may hinder my nose (to be done in end Jun)....

sigh... so lost.

Anyway, now I am panicking cos have to do many last minute bookings and checks. If anyone has any suggestions or input or experience in going to Dr. Jung - accomodations, advice etc. PLEASE let me know!!

Anyone going to Dr. Jung around 25 Jun?

Thanks in advance!

cheers,
dmn

dear, if u are doing so many thing at one go.. don think 14 days will subside la.. Dr Jung is famous in rhinoplasty.. other procedure u talking, don know is he good or not? beta check properly.
U really in the rush to do eveything at one go? can do one by one or 2 at one or not? 14 days too short for healing.. may not 'look-able' to others..

Hi DMN,

I did mine just 6 weeks back. Perhaps you should consider taking Sineech to help minimise swelling. Accommodation wise, I stayed at the Twin Haus, Naksungdae which is not too far away from Gangnam where Dr. Jung's clinic is. Set back is, it's right on a hill but at least very convenient if you need to see Dr. Jung almost every alternate days the first 5 days after the surgery.

Good luck and all the best!

i really don want to re do again.. very pain..
chiqita wrote:Hi ocean11,

I felt the same way as you after the cast was removed! Ishocked to see my nose tip was fat and bulbous! And I kept lamenting to Dr. Jung that it looks fat and horrible!! Ha ha... So he insisted on putting the cast back on me and asked me to come back the next day. When he removed it the next day, I could see much improvement! So dun worry ya, the tip will be better each day.

DMN,

After 14 days my swelling was still noticably but those who has never seen you before won't really notice that much.

Ocean11 & Shermaine, Dr Jung sounds so nice. If I had the cash now I would definately get my crooked nose fixed with him.

DMN, Yea I totally understand how your friend feels! That is why I won't be going back to him for a revision. GRRRR! Who did your friend end up going to for her revision?

DMN,

yea... after 2 weeks, your nose will still be bigger than normal even with sinnech... but the eye things are what I'd be worried about. Even slight swelling near the eyes is really apparent, whereas the nose can be swollen but strangers can't tell...

my bf's mom got an eye lift; we went on a cruise two months later... still looked kinda crazy when you looked at her eyes. now, it looks normal... but it's been over half a year.

hi who,

can i asked if yr bf's mom did what type of eye lift? endoscopic? for brow or for forehead? if it is for eye-lid, was it closed or open? very technical but i think that makes a difference.

thanks!!!

DMN,
If you are planning to do many procedures at once, i think it's better you stay at the apartment above dr.Jung's clinic. Just in case you need the nurse/doc assistance, can just come down. It's US$50 per night. got internet access, tv, refrigerator.

dmn,

she did open, and it was to lift her eyelid; due to aging skin... it was sagging.

hi

are you planning to change significantly or just to enhance every features.

If you want to enhance every features of your face by a little, I suggest you go to Dr Chuang (taiwan) or Dr Seah (singapore) to do, cause the lesser thing you do on each features the faster the recovery time.

What I mean is for example, if nose you only want an slight silicon implant, your recovery will be much faster than a nose where you undergo alar, gortex implant and tip refinement. An eyes where you choose korean style technique or stitching with a low eyelid height will recover (meaning look more normal) much faster than if you go for cutting a medium to high double eye lid.

Another thing is about your emotional issue. If you undergo big changes for every part of your face, you might not be able to adapt to the sudden change. But if you do one or two thing at a time and slowly do them, it will be much easier for you emotion. Or if you improve everything by a little, you might still look recognizable, and it might not give you sudden scare as well. (This depend on individuals)

Hi BlueberryMochi,

Thanks! Yeah, internet is what need. Chiqita and Ocean11 gave me some help too. I think I m not a shopping gal so best is to be as close to doc as possible.

+++

Hey who,

Thanks for quick response.

So if yr bf's mom did open upper eye lid lift - I wld assume it is traditional eye lift - if so, then it surely takes longer to heal due to open method to cut sagging skim. My skin is not sagging but the fats are thickening due natural process of aging.

Actually, for those in their late 20s and 30s, I read many times tt it is best to correct sagging around eyes with lifts and use laser to remove fine winkles as early as possible. If we wait till 40s then some of sagging and winkles become very difficult to correct.

I hv a gal fren who is in her 50s but look very good and like in her early 30s. No joke - at least 15 yrs younger! Yeah, I always  her haha! She has been doing minor corrections since 30s to slow down aging significantly, applying the latest methods/surgery to keep her youth and get interested in current trends and affairs. Young heart. She is my walking-dictionary on skin care and PS. But she dun go to Taipei or Seoul for PS so I cannot get inputs from her.

+++

hi 24452,

Thanks too for yr suggestions.

Yes, I agree if I have the time for downtime, making gradual changes swld be ideal to keep my emotions and facial changes in controls. Problem is I hv very little time off from work....in fact, the reason, i m on my notebk at this wee hr is due to work! sigh.

I dun need double eye-lid ops cos I hv natural double eye-lids. They r my 'identity' cos I rcvd compliments for them. Thanks to mama :-)

But I hv upper eye lids which r becoming heavier due to process of natural aging and lower lid eyebag - not obvious but gives me the 'tired' look despite reasonably flawless complexion. I like to correct them with closed methods lifts. Some pple think I look 5 yrs younger than my real age but these lids are bothering me.....

So my priorities are nose and my eye lids issues cos I think the downtime is similar. Pls correct me if I am wrong.

I guess the rest can be done gradually....

cheers,
dmn

Hey people!
It’s been about one month since I had my eyes and nose done with Dr. Chuang and I just wanted to check in with everybody else to make sure the things I’m experiencing are normal:

1. Dr. Chuang told me that when you have an alar reduction there is an internal stitch / suture there that will not dissolve for over a year in order to keep the nostrils in place. Currently, when I try to smile, my top lip, bottom lip and nostril area do not line up – is this normal? (I’m also unable to crack a full smile b/c the area feels really tight).

2. I also noticed that there are leftover suture/ stitch heads near my epicantoplasty scars. I had pointed this out to Dr. Chuang after his nurse removed most of the sutre / stitches but Dr. C told me that they should fall out by themselves…now I’m getting kind of worried because the new skin is growing over the stitches that weren’t removed. Has this happened to anyone else and if so, what was the end result? Should I take tweezers and try to remove them myself?

Sigh…it’s been almost a month since my surgery and my eyelids are still very thick and very uneven. I’m hoping it’s swelling still but now I’m scared this will be the final result…

DMN,

I agree with Ocean11... Dr Jung is famous for rhino, but I dunno about his skills for all the other surgeries you want to do. Maybe you want to do the procedures with another doctor? I have not had experience with the stuff you want to do so I have no idea what the healing time/ down time is like. Maybe you would want to make a second trip if you are afraid that your swelling/brusing will be obvious even after 14 days?
