to be very very honest, i am very happy with wat he as given me based on wat i requested. he did EVERTHING i requested for, and i can only blame myself for being too conservative that time!!

so now, i am thinking of mending that ruptured suture that stops my nose fr flaring too much (i think it ruptured as i had an infection at that site as mentioned, and i hav sensitive skin so i dont think its his fault), and to sharpen the tip a little more prob. i will aso ask him abt whether i need more alar, if i still want the results to be natural.

thks. for the info. on farehead transplant!
basically, my forehead slopes back too much esp when viewed fr side, and i dont want another implant since i m so infection prone, so was thining of fat. but i dont mind it being reabsorbed as i juz wanna a little augmentation. juz wondering if his skills in that are good though he told me its a simple procedure...

Yea it only raise a little because the Dr advise me not to do so high as too high bridge will look harsh on my face features and also will look fake if my nose tip too long. With e new nose, it does makes me look better when i take pics, can see the define of the nose now.
The doctor at who did for me at KALO is Dr.Song. Hes from china but trained in korea and heard hes going to england duno when, i also didnt ask much...so not to worry about his skills though i heard in this forum that kalo has only GP cert? lol
Kalo is run by a chinese, not malay, not to worry about that.
I see most of their customers are rich tai tais over at JB branch. If there were to have anything goes wrong, im sure the rich tai tais over at the KL side will be e 1st to do something then. lol
So not to worry about that, in my own opinion, doing at KALO is actually just like doing in Singapore, the standard.

But on e other hand, pls do more research before u decide on what you want to do, and also the final decision is urs where u would like to have urs done at. =)

as for forheard fat transplant...i heard u have to do it 2-3 time for it to be permanent...pretty exp too. I wanted to do it on my eyebrows and towards the bridge of my nose...to have a sorta eurasian effect...that is what is does doesnt it anyone?

Waooo u are good at seeing the differences man. keke. And yes, my nose tip is mildly lowered. The doc said too long tip for me will look fake liao, and tell me ps must be naturally nice and beautiful, cannot be too drastic, if not for a girl wont be nice.

Her nose bridge is slightly raised and her nose tip is mildly "lowered".

if i dun remember wrongly, Kalo does do Nose tip using. ear cartilage. in fact it does open incision if required but the prices is diff of coz. I asked before ard jan 2007

Thanks for the update. today i went to take a peep at my nose height by taking out the splint for awhile.. hmm.. frankly, i really don know how will be the hight look like.. cos i find it too low!! but Dr Jung insisted is high for me!? and he said that're lotsa singaporean and m'sian came to him requested slightly lower and natural bridge, and i am the only one request for higher! but to each it own!! i want high!!! i like the SOng hye kyo nose!! why don he do it for me!?!?!?!? why!!?!?!? why!?!?!??!
*fainted* btw, u must be tall? that is why he suggested Song's nose for u?? he said that nose really too high for me! but i want i want i want!!!!!

i really like those noses he done for all his korean patients, high nice and natural.. but den again, it still too early to say as it only my 4th days.. but now i already find it too low, after subside wouldnt be even lower??? *fainted another time* silicone might have lotsa prob in future, but i must say it shape is nicer den goretex, cos i find my bridge is abit too thick den before.. or it the swelling again?? gosh.. i missed my old nose now..

hi guys! juz thought i will update, as i'm currently close to 3 mths. post -op.
but first off, i gotta say a HUGE thank you and sorry to Blueberry, Hannah, and Badboy. am sure by now they will know what a paranoid/worrier i am, and had been repeatedly bothering them with my concerns. thks. so much to you all!

ok, basically, i hav come to realise i am an EXTREMELY SLOW healer...i bruise a lot more, swell a lot more...in fact, though others say pineapples helps in the healing, it gave me bad infections at my stitch sites...and to be honest, it's only been after 2 mths, that i felt my nose was seirously starting to take shape. in fact, when i look at my pics prior to that, i cant help but gasp how on earth i managed to face the world with that nose!!

on the bright side, the nose is shaping really prettily so far, but couple of days ago, my inner sutures where the alar reduction was done snapped, and it's now left a lingering pain inside my upper lip. i am worried now that it might change the shape, but dr. jung reassured me that those stutures were juz to maintain the shape temporarily and will hav no harm. however, i do realise that my nose flares more now on smiling...=( not sure if i rupture any other sutures used to maintain that too? but anyhow, the bridge he gave me exactly wat i wanted, not high not low, and most importantly and satisfyingly, he seriously literaly gave me a curve in my side profile!

never knew that could be done as i hav seen many esp on dr. kim's site where the noses are just downright straight from the side.

on a side note, i finally confessed to my parents that i did a nose job (cant prolong that further as my mum and sis are literally on the plane now to visit me!) and gosh! instead of chiding me, they actually said why didn't i ask them to go along to take care of me, and for higher bridge, sharper tip etc. hahah wat wonderful parents i have!
so shoe_girl, try not to worry abt it k? am sure your parents are juz concerned about you, and if you talk to them nicely, hopefully things willl work out=)

anyway, as i think i m relly picky abt stuff, i was already prepared to undergo a 2nd revision since planning my rhinoplasty to acheive my desired nose.
thus, have already booked a second appt. in mid august to do some refinement. and this time, my mum is going along with me (it relly relly helps to have someone take care of you...) so i cant wait!

juz one question to all pls, may i know if MINOR refinements are made durin revision, is the swelling gonna be a whole lot more, like with other revisions??

also, may i know if any1 had forehead augmentation with fat transplant b4?
i know that there is variable resoprtion rate, but wat i'm afraid is that the rate will be variable on the forehead parts itself, i.e landing me with a forehead of pitted holes at some areas!?!?!?

Dr Song is a nice man and honest one too and he has over 8 years exp in PS, trained in China and a short course at korea. He is a fully certified doc but as there is no professional board for PS surgeon in China unlike korea, thus it is not fair to say he is not professional certified. However in PS, sometimes the skills is more impt than Certs.. i have seen enough in local PS standard to know that cert doesnt mean skill.

Kalo is a pretty decent place for common PS surgery like doing rhino implant and eyelid surgery. as for facilities wise, i would say look clean and decently equipped for simple surgery. For the price of below 2k for a nose job, it is quite a bargain.

If u ask me for a guage, i would give it 7/10 for overall security and facilities and equipment. 10/10 is like what u see in dr seah & dr wong clinic, those well known local PS clinic standard.

Currently looking and searching at thailand where common PS surgery cost around $300 each and operated by fully certified thai PS surgeon.

Awww. dun wori, another possibilities is like in appletree's case. the doc may not find high bridge suitable for you. but then the key issue is revision how? pay or no need to pay if needed? next issue is most of the time if the nose is not high enough, a sharp tip may not look compatible thus u may need to think twice liao. scar-ly he do totally what u want but dun look natural how?

But than i does agree with u that u are the client so u can really decide what u want. what i am confuse is that how come u proceed to do it when he didnt agree to do a high nose for you?

i really like those noses he done for all his korean patients, high nice and natural.. but den again, it still too early to say as it only my 4th days.. but now i already find it too low, after subside wouldnt be even lower??? *fainted another time* silicone might have lotsa prob in future, but i must say it shape is nicer den goretex, cos i find my bridge is abit too thick den before.. or it the swelling again?? gosh.. i missed my old nose now..
Or mabe i expect too much?? really quite disappointed at the moment..

Why do u need to shaper ur tip? u oso find the tip too round?

hi guys! juz thought i will update, as i'm currently close to 3 mths. post -op.
but first off, i gotta say a HUGE thank you and sorry to Blueberry, Hannah, and Badboy. am sure by now they will know what a paranoid/worrier i am, and had been repeatedly bothering them with my concerns. thks. so much to you all!

ok, basically, i hav come to realise i am an EXTREMELY SLOW healer...i bruise a lot more, swell a lot more...in fact, though others say pineapples helps in the healing, it gave me bad infections at my stitch sites...and to be honest, it's only been after 2 mths, that i felt my nose was seirously starting to take shape. in fact, when i look at my pics prior to that, i cant help but gasp how on earth i managed to face the world with that nose!!

on the bright side, the nose is shaping really prettily so far, but couple of days ago, my inner sutures where the alar reduction was done snapped, and it's now left a lingering pain inside my upper lip. i am worried now that it might change the shape, but dr. jung reassured me that those stutures were juz to maintain the shape temporarily and will hav no harm. however, i do realise that my nose flares more now on smiling...=( not sure if i rupture any other sutures used to maintain that too? but anyhow, the bridge he gave me exactly wat i wanted, not high not low, and most importantly and satisfyingly, he seriously literaly gave me a curve in my side profile!

never knew that could be done as i hav seen many esp on dr. kim's site where the noses are just downright straight from the side.

on a side note, i finally confessed to my parents that i did a nose job (cant prolong that further as my mum and sis are literally on the plane now to visit me!) and gosh! instead of chiding me, they actually said why didn't i ask them to go along to take care of me, and for higher bridge, sharper tip etc. hahah wat wonderful parents i have!
so shoe_girl, try not to worry abt it k? am sure your parents are juz concerned about you, and if you talk to them nicely, hopefully things willl work out=)

anyway, as i think i m relly picky abt stuff, i was already prepared to undergo a 2nd revision since planning my rhinoplasty to acheive my desired nose.
thus, have already booked a second appt. in mid august to do some refinement. and this time, my mum is going along with me (it relly relly helps to have someone take care of you...) so i cant wait!

juz one question to all pls, may i know if MINOR refinements are made durin revision, is the swelling gonna be a whole lot more, like with other revisions??

also, may i know if any1 had forehead augmentation with fat transplant b4?
i know that there is variable resoprtion rate, but wat i'm afraid is that the rate will be variable on the forehead parts itself, i.e landing me with a forehead of pitted holes at some areas!?!?!?

congrats to ocean_11 too! am sure you will love ur new nose!! btw, think the actress you mentioned is song hye kyo yea?? she is beautiful ! i had the opposite consultation with dr. jung re her hgt, coz he actually asked me if i want a nose like hers, but i didnt coz it seemed too perfect. hahah now really thinking twice.... take care and rest well!

Awww. dun wori, another possibilities is like in appletree's case. the doc may not find high bridge suitable for you. but then the key issue is revision how? pay or no need to pay if needed? next issue is most of the time if the nose is not high enough, a sharp tip may not look compatible thus u may need to think twice liao. scar-ly he do totally what u want but dun look natural how?

But than i does agree with u that u are the client so u can really decide what u want. what i am confuse is that how come u proceed to do it when he didnt agree to do a high nose for you?

what doc jung tell u is what i thinking too. i think maybe when he doing ur nose that time got test and trial and find the high nose not suitable. this trial and test is quite common for korean nose surgery during operation but usual old bird no need to do many times. i think he got put the high bridge goretex in 1st and find it not suitable , take out and reshape than put back in again. and he may repeat the process till he find the best nose for u based on his "standard". u can confirm with him again on this.

as for my question, i wanna know if revision surgery can be done straight away after removal of goretex implant or need to wait awhile after removal of the goretex implant?
