I had liposuction done by Hayyr fok. not happy with the results. Thinking of having a recorrecttve surgery done. Any Dr to recommend?
I cannot afford another mistake cos I am really broke.
Very worried

I blame myself for going ahead with liposuction after just seeing one doctor. So please consult a few doctors first before making deciaion.

I am sitll single. Will pregnancy in future affect my shape. do not want to waste my money again if the results cannot last

Please advise.
medictbp wrote:For Local surgeons, i'm in favour of Dr. Vincent Yeow; because i'd seen his works. (For facial cosmetics procedures)

For Tummytucks, it depends on the skill & experiences of the surgeon; unlike Liposuction, Rhinoplasty augmentation, Eyelid surgery & even facelift.

Tummy Tucks, Rhinoplasty reduction, Breast reduction & Breast lift should be still best handled by the better doctors who're in the slightly expensive category.

The choice of 'scaring' will be different, as far as possible; the 'cut' would be slightly under the abdominal crease across the public area. An incision is also made around the belly button. (Possibly with a abdominoplasty, the patient will have a new belly button. (new opening is cutted from the skin)

You must be sure, you won't want another baby....

Yes, unfortunately; you've to accept that the 'incision line' leaves a permanent scar. I'd seen abdominoplasty done by a much-celebrated BKK hospital, the incision is in the belly area. That is bizarre!

I still hope to warn folks here against a BKK hospital, whose website is designated for Plastic surgery only. :-)

Anonymous wrote:Hello Everybody,

New here so bear with me.

I'm planning to get rhinoplasty done. I'm probably looking at something rather complex as my nose is pretty out of shape after having broken it three times and having had three prior rhinoplasties. Pretty active in sports and I keep on breaking my nose - twice in rugby and once in basketball.

My last rhinoplasty was in Sydney and it wasn't a very good job. It just straightened the septum but left the tip pretty swelled up. I'm looking to get it reduced and reshaped aesthetically.

My options are basically Thailand and Singapore. I've consulted with Harry Kok who quoted me 15K and I'll be seeing Woffles Wu for a consultation in early September. I'll post an update on that consult after it's completed.

Reading these posts, I'm inclined to meet Vincent at SGH just to have as many opinions before proceeding ahead with this. Undergoing plastic surgery is no small matter and especially when considering the face, one should be as informed as possible about possible risks and complications. I'm looking to move into broadcast journalism after a couple of years and I can't be seen on telly with this conker.

So if anybody has strong opinions on Martin Huang, Woffles Wu, Vincent or Harry - please feel free to let me know.

With regards to Thailand, I'm going down in September to have consultations with Bumrungrad - Dr. Amorn and Dr. Preecha from PAI. I need to understand how competent they may be and see what their advice would be when contrasted against the best that Singapore has to offer.

Cost-wise, I believe Thailand to be far cheaper by far but there's a difference between less expensive and cheap and I'll be going on a fact-finding trip to Thailand this September. Does anyone intend to take an exploratory trip down there just to scope out the place and the quality of medical care? You're welcome to join me.

If i do intend to take up surgery in Thailand, I intend to go down with a few similarly-minded souls as that will really aid in recuperation. So , happy-taraz, I'm keen to take you up on that invitation to head down together in December.

If anyone has any personal thoughts on the above, please drop me an email at [email protected] or laeve a reply on this thread.

Thanks for reading, you guys take it easy out there.

Hi We are going on the 2nd/3rd week of of Dec. I have a confirm list of 4 persons going including myself. But if u like to join us, u r most welcome. I've to warn u that u have to decide wat u want & which doc u wish to do it with before hand. Get in touch with yr doc, make the necessary appointments before we leave. Pls conduct all your research before hand. Don't expect us to give opinions because everyone have a different surgery that we are going for so we won't have any idea to yr type of surgery. We can only be of companionship taking care of each other.

We plan to be there for abt 9 days & maybe taking a short break together after the surgery. Return back to BKK for our final check up with the doc & we can come home.

If interested, please leave yr email so that I can contact u.

hi,

yes, dr lee is very good and experienced. i just came back last month from lipo... done several areas... arms, inner and outer thigh, full abdomen as well as my back. total cost is S$7200. Result has been good, he managed to draw out 6 litres of fats!

hey i'm having my eyelid surgery at Malaysia,Penang-Batu lanchang,Dr.Loh Clinic. It is wonderful and i like the result. I did it when i was 18 (now 28) and it looks natural and no one notice on that is the result of laser eyelid surgery :)

If you visit to Penang you can ask about Batu lanchang Dr.Loh Laser Clinic.Just along the road side before the police station. He is famous in eyelid surgery. For liposuction & nose job , go to Dr.Lee Loh Guan Lye. I will go next week, it is my fren recommendation. About Rm10k for whole body liposuction (with a guarantee of 10-15Kg fat removal) together with nose job :)
hi, girlie, have u seen dr lee yet, is he good?

Hi guys,

if you are looking at Dr Amorn Poomee, the price you get from Bumrungrad hospital is not the right one. He costs much more.

caliste_nolatori wrote:hi buffyboi, so you are really gonna do it with dr sukit?? as in everything's set and u're goin in october for your operation?? because i rem seeing in the earlier posts that this medical agent for patients going to thailand for surgery wouldn't recommend goin to yan hee leh.. so its just a friendly warning to u.. i mean, i wouldn't want anything untoward to happen to your face.. :D she mentioned that she would recommend doc like doc preecha instead as they are more reliable or something.. cant rem exactly what the person typed but the gist of it is that yan hee seems dangerous and it would be better if u look for dr preecha.. something liddat... do update me on yr surgery and stuff k? because i planning to do in next year may.. Thanks!!!! by the way, the agent really seems like she knows what she's talking abt.. saw quite a number of her posts... so yea, i hope you would reconsider it or do more research on it or something.. like be 110% sure before you go...
Hi Caliste,
Thanks for the advice and concern. Much appreciated!!
I have been doing extensive research not just online but from friends too. But I will do more research. Like you said I have to be 110 % sure!! :) A lot of my friends are from Thailand, and they have came back with reviews that they read in Thailand, and one of my friend's mum (who's the head nurse of a hospital) said that hospital is very popular. I'm pretty sure cluey about nose implant as many of my family members have done it many years ago... I have to say it was so much cheaper...my 1st sis did it prob, about 18 yrs ago and 2nd sis did that 12yrs ago, and they were only $500 Sg ! (maybe it's the inflation now! :D )

Dear Done it,
Have you done surgery with Amorn Poomee? If that's the case, How much did he overcharge & How was his skill? My friend has made an appointment with him & she asked if I'd like to join her for a tummy tuck. I'm worried coz you hear of all sorts of complication. Is he a good surgeon?

Dear Mamamia,

Nope, I done my liposuction (inner/outer thighs, full abdomen, back and arms) with Dr Lee in Penang, total operation cost is$7200.

Not sure if you head of Gorgeous Getaways, before deciding to proceed to penang, i sent my photos to GG, and GG told me that tummy tuck is needed.

However, when i met up with Dr Lee, he told me a lipo will be good enough. True indeed, the result can be seen in 2-3 weeks.

If you are keen on Dr Poomee, you can email him, i did email consult with him before. He will send you the pricing etc.

Lastly, tummy tuck scar is quite a big one, and the risk associated involved is also relatively higher. So unless u really need one, i suggest you consult the doc and check is lipo good enough for you.

Scar recovering will depends on your age and skin elasticity.

:D hope this little piece of info help

Hi Done It, I'm thinking of doing liposuction with Dr. Lee. Do you mind sharing your experience with me? If you'd rather not do it on this board, I can give you my email. I would like to know if he's a good doctor, and you feel happy with your results. When did you have your liposuction done? Is there any lumpiness in the lipo-ed areas? Thanks.
