Just watched the korean movie, 200 Pound Beauty...
This movie totally inspires people to go for plastic surgery!
a heartfelt touching comedy, everyone in this topic should watch it :D

Re: Gore-tex

Postby appletree » Sun, 15 Apr 2007 5:33 am

Hmmm.... its rather contradicting wor, website mentioning that goretex can only last maximum 25 yrs but Dr jung mentioned that it can last a life time?? :???:

nameblah,
I'm going to have a rhinoplasty with Dr. Jung, too. Someone asked him on his website that how long would gore-tex last, and he said he's been doing it for 6 years and see no problems at all. Only 6 years? How about 7 years or 10 years or 20 years later ? Hmm... Eventhough some research found on Google.com said that Gore-tex can last for 25+ years, but in reality, it's only been used in plastic surgery in the recent years. And one of my relative who has been working for the biological research institute told me that sientists mostly post their research only when they have good results --> bad results r probably not announced yet.
Soo... I'm kinda... worried. :P Gore-tex will make the nose look nice and natural, but it's hard to reverse, too.
Anyway, hopefully it will last for a life-time as the Doc. said. Praying...

yes yen's pic shows that kalo is rather good at alar. but i think there's a reason for dr sukit not agreeing to do with u. maybe u should consult first. i also considering kalo, but will confirm if they do goretex I implant and tip refinement separately like dr chuang/jung first. if yes, then i'll go. price very reasonable also! :)

went to kalo for consultation today. the alarplasty is only SGD800 as package if you do with implant, else it's RM2800.

They dun have a fixed doctor doing their surgery, rather they have a team based in KL, and they come down to JB by appt, so i'm not sure if we will get the same PS as yen.

Interestingly, they suggested an injection for the tip rather than tipoplasty. Supposedly the injection can shrink the tip in 3 sessions, the same way u wld reduce square jaw with botox, that wld only cost RM1200.
Becos i have a prior implant, if i want to do tipoplasty, i have to remove my implant then reinsert it again (sounds damn painful)

Hi ahmeilover,

I did email to dr sukit a few months before , he said only do I implant never do alar . tat's why i drop the idea of going to him.

Btw, I think KALO is very good in nose implant, alar, double eyelid & Breasts.,price also quite cheap compare to Singapore hehe

1 week before I did my alar with KALO, my good friend also did there, very happy with her alar too. :P

Hi aadvark,

KALO has about 4 PS doctors, each is specialised in different areas of PS.

For face PS like Nose implant, alar, double eyelid etc.., will be done by either a Man or Lady doctor.

My Nose implant was done by man dr and Alar by lady dr, think both drs are very good & skilled.

How abt your friend?

yen :P
