i took tianqi after my ops
according to chinese medical hall, tianqi can help post-surgeries healing
my mum told me can help "remove toxins" therefore reduce swelling and bruising faster
i took tianqi before my op few days.. and after op i stopped for awhile
only took it again after i finish the "western medicine" doc prescribed, in case "clashing" occurs
i don't know if tianqi is useful but i think chinese herbs are usually quite harmless
if u are not comfortable with it then don't take it, nobody forces anyone here

Please consult PS doctors for tianqi coz anyhow consume chinese herbs during PS recovery is not a JOKE! Don't Play, play as it will crash with the antibodtics & cause side effects.

For my PS experience, just take more fruits, no seafood, no spicy food for faster recovery.

All the best for your PS
Isit? So Consultants in PS saloon who never did PS before shouldnt give advice to paying customers mah since they didnt do their PS before and are earning comm from it.

Who told you abt tianqi "crashing"? heard from those ah sohs' rumors ah?

well, maybe kalo's manager, who did so many PS at kalo, is lying abt her taking tianqi to assist in her PS recovery when she told me and the other customers...

Hmmmm my previous major operations, i took tianqi and fish porridge almost everyday during my hospital stay till i healed in 14 days time.

no problem or what so ever. maybe i should have died when tianqi "crash" with my medicine, during my weaken state, when i cant even moved out of my bed for 1 week.. or maybe my body is different from others.. :???:

my mum asked the specialist doc if i can take, he say keep it at least 2-3 hours apart from the antibiotics or other western medicine.. of coz i didnt take it during the 1st 2 days after my operation and i asked my sinseh and doctor personally if i can take it..

so kindly asked doctors or sinseh if tian qi suit u before listening to old folks' tales and so called "experiences".. however, do be careful with allergies issues.
Wow, why so big reaction over it? Anyway not happy don't read my post lor.. :P

Wondering what big operation? Circumcision!!!

Please end your childish act & post, no time to entertain you..enuff is enuff :-$

"ALL YOUR POST VERY MAO DUN LEH ???"
what ppl always said: Kiang jiu ho mai ke kiang!

We will see whether you will do your PS end of this year ok after 1 year of talking :???:
I have seen a chinese Sensei coincidently regarding this issue and he mentioned that we should keep chinese medication or herbs at least an hour from Western medication.

My dad has a bottle of Tian Qi Supplement (in Capsule Form too~ ) in the fridge... Let's See....

Used to improve blood circulation. nourish the body, strengthen physical condiions and improve blood circulation (repeated phrase).

Anyway, good blood circulation is essential for post surgery care we all guess.

oh well, i study traditional chinese medicine at a licensed and established institution and i can tell u for sure that tian qi does help in healing. it is v good for healing actually.. but is mainly used for fractures and other related injuries in the field of die1 da3. also, it has nourishing qualities which are beneficial to those who had surgery as it can strengthen you and replenish the "qi" that one loses in cases like surgeries. however, pls do not take it together with your western medicine as it may clash and bring about undesired effects. the reason being western medicine is made up of one or two chemical components only whereas chinese medicines are herbs and are thus made up of multiple chemical components which act on various parts of the body. the general guideline is to take the medicines 3-4 hours apart as the medication taken earlier would be mostly digested by then. from my experiences at the clinics that i have attended, many patients seem to respond well to this "east meets west" treatment and actually find that this kind of treatment is more holistic.
however, pls note that although i study tcm, i am not a certified doctor yet as i have not taken my license examination and the above information is for those ppl who r interested in taking tcm but am worried about "clashing" etc. I merely hope to shed more light in this area as I am after all, half a professional.. haha.. but still, do check with your doctor in charge again just to make sure. in addition, there are ppl who may be allergic to tian qi so if u r determined to take it, try taking it a few days before the surgery to see your reaction towards it. this will also help to build up your qi and immune system before the op. a normal person should feel slightly warmer and more revitalised after consumption. time for medication to take effect differs in different individuals though.
hope this helps :)

Hey black_creamer,

Wow, I am so happy you liked your results. I think his prices are much more than that now. Did you have an open rhino? I am thinking of going to him for ala and tipoplasty and maybe liposuction. I am going to go on a few consultations before I finally decide on the doctor and the date.

can't wait to hear about your experience next week! wish you all the luck and please keep us informed of everything as it REALLY is extremely helpful. :)

I went to Dr Fok (When his clinic was still in Paragon Medical) in May last year for a rhinoplasty. Am glad with the outcome and service, and am going back next week for an alarplasty and otoplasty. He now operates his own clinic in Mt E.

Cost-wise, I think it is reasonable, albeit there are plenty of cheaper options in Singapore. My rhino was $3800 last time, and he is charging me $2500 for the alar, and $5000 for otoplasty. Recovery time should be within the week, though I was out and about 3 days after my rhino last year.

Recovery was very smooth and painless that time (no bruising, slight swelling), and I am hoping for the same again. Will update you after my surgery next week. What are u intending to get PS for?

Anyone went to Dr. harry Fok or Dr. Yeap for surgery? I want my surgeries done in Singapore but I desperately need feedback from people who have gone through the surgeries here in singapore . . . a n y o n e? please . . .

Hi Jass,

What are you planning on having done? I am scared too. I can only take two weeks off and I am wondering if that is enough time to recover as I do not want people seeing me all funny.

The hardest decision for me is just taking the final step and going thru it!

Hello~
I looked for a cosmetic surgery on Internet.

A place thinking that I am good is a Takasu clinic.
This clinic has a clinic of a man....
I s spend a homepage of the hospital which I examined to you...

Probably I think that you do not understand Japanese. But I think that your friend had better look...

This is a Men's TAKASU Clinic.....
http://mens.takasu.co.jp/

The director of here does a cosmetic surgery at one's hospital. His son is a specialist in cosmetic surgery , too...

A rate of an operation changes what kind of operation you do....

[A operation rate of eyes]・・・・・\94,500~\262,500(1,199.291~
3,331.37Singaporean dollar)
[A chin plastic operation]・・・・・\367,500(4,663.91Singaporean dollar)

1Singaporean dollar=78.69yen

An operation rate is a very high amount of money..........
Payment is cash or a credit card or a loan....

Other hospitals are similar amounts of money, too....
Aftercare is necessary after an operation. I e-mailed a hospital. I ask a hospital how many days your friend should have stayed. A postoperative problem does not want to happen to your friend.....

I send a homepage address of other hospitals to you....

This is SHINAGAWA Vanity surgery..
http://www.shinagawa.com/index2.html
A rate of this hospital is cheap...

This is OHTUKA Beauty plastic surgery
http://www.otsuka-biyo.co.jp/
In Japan, there was a TV program of cosmetic surgery before. This hospital participated in the TV program.....
A rate is about the same as a Takasu clinic. Was my information useful? Was there the information that your friend wanted to know? Please contact me if there is the information that I want to know elsewhere....

bye bye~

miho "

Hope its useful for some.

Hey MBK,

I just dug out my old receipts, and i actually paid just $3000 for the closed rhino (implant inserted thru a nostril) the last time. I did enquire about the total cost of a closed rhino + alar then, and remembered that he quoted me $4500. Went for a couple of consultations as well before deciding on him. This time round, I decided to go back simply cos I am confortable with him and the results (thou i must say the old office in Paragon which was a group practice is quite abit nicer than the one now in Mt E).

Okie, my surgery is for this Wed, wish me luck :)

Hey Jass, mbk,

I guess the decision is made once u are at the reception counter and u arrange for a surgery date - you have to pay 50% of the surgery up front (non refundable), so there is really no turning back after that! :-|

Btw, 2 weeks is more than enough time to recover. I am expecting to have my stitches (for the alar) removed within the week, and to be out and about after that. (of cos recovery wld vary from person to person, but i think the sineech tablets they will provide does help. The last time when I went for the rhino, I also bought some gel-like cold compress from Guardian (some Japanese brand, for kid's fever), and bromelain (pineapple) tablets from the health pharmacy (GNC/Nature's Farm) to help reduce bruising/swelling.

Jass - will send u my final pix after this alarplasty surgery and the swelling is more or less gone. My rhino implant was too subtle, didn't see much of a change cos the bridge was raised just 2-3mm.

Hi black_creamer and Jass,

I have been to several doctors and had consultations! But I can't decide. I had lipo before but I am very disappointed with the results. I only got 10% of the 80% improvement I was promised. Since then I am having a hard time trusting these doctors. And Singapore doctors don't like to show a lot of before and after pics and some don't like when u ask them questions too much..

hope all goes well with teh surgery . . . can't wait for your updates :)

black-creamer, would you say after 2 weeks you were presentable to the public? were people who are close to you able to tell you had something done at 2 weeks?
