for me tian qi is wonderful herb, but as one man meat can be another poison. consider it urself n learn when can n cant take tian qi. dun listen to what ppl post here. it is just for reference only.

tianqi is good for those with multiple PS or major surgery like large area Lipo n Breast Implant, even Kalo's manager took it herself n recommended me to buy tian qi tablet for healing Post op.

however plz consult ur sinseh or medical hall before deciding.. i areadi stock 2weeks worth for my yr end operation.

Like yourself Im also from US, and thinking of going to drjung.

As far plaining the trip, did he work with your schedule [plane date/arrival time]
or you had to work around with a day he provides on his schedule ?
Also, how many days/weeks would you recommend a person to stay before flying back home?
Hi Moodyy,

I told Dr. Jung when I would like to be there, and he accommodated my schedule, not the other way around. Once I confirmed my dates with Dr. Jung, I booked my tickets and emailed them my flight info so that they could arrange a driver to pick me up from the airport. They seem to be very flexible on scheduling.

I stayed 11 nights, 12 days, but had surgery on the 3rd day, so post-operatively, it was only 9 days. I would recommend that you stay at least 7 - 10 days after your surgery. As I explained earlier, your splint comes off on day 5, and then the focus is on making sure there isn't any infection or other complications. Dr. Jung told me that the first week is the most critical with a 5% chance of infection. By the second week, it goes down to 2%, and after a month, it goes down to 1%, which is similar to the infection rate of any surgical procedure, according to Dr. Jung.

Good luck!

You are right, don't listen to what ppl post in forum, especially those ppl who have not done any PS before.hehe..

Please consult PS doctors for tianqi coz anyhow consume chinese herbs during PS recovery is not a JOKE! Don't Play, play as it will crash with the antibodtics & cause side effects.

For my PS experience, just take more fruits, no seafood, no spicy food for faster recovery.

All the best for your PS

Mynose,

I went to Korea in June. It was summertime and hot. My nose healed fine.

I know alot of ppl say cold weather is better for healing etc but honestly i think its your own preference. I love hot weather and I healed quickly so I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

Hi Badboy,
Congrat on ur ps :)
I think i know the nurse u r referring to. She always wear her hair in a bun, has thin lips, always wear uniform and very pretty :) She's the youngest nurse there (20yrs old only) and the friendliest of jung's nurses. :)
Shermaine, glad to hear that your nose is healing very well :D
Keep us updated and all the best for those who are going to have PS

Isit? So Consultants in PS saloon who never did PS before shouldnt give advice to paying customers mah since they didnt do their PS before and are earning comm from it.

Who told you abt tianqi "crashing"? heard from those ah sohs' rumors ah?

well, maybe kalo's manager, who did so many PS at kalo, is lying abt her taking tianqi to assist in her PS recovery when she told me and the other customers...

Hmmmm my previous major operations, i took tianqi and fish porridge almost everyday during my hospital stay till i healed in 14 days time.

no problem or what so ever. maybe i should have died when tianqi "crash" with my medicine, during my weaken state, when i cant even moved out of my bed for 1 week.. or maybe my body is different from others.. :???:

my mum asked the specialist doc if i can take, he say keep it at least 2-3 hours apart from the antibiotics or other western medicine.. of coz i didnt take it during the 1st 2 days after my operation and i asked my sinseh and doctor personally if i can take it..

so kindly asked doctors or sinseh if tian qi suit u before listening to old folks' tales and so called "experiences".. however, do be careful with allergies issues.

imjase wrote:Hey people,

Just wanted to say from my own experience don't neglect post-op care. Its really important the first 14 days you get good post-op care incase of any wound/infection possibilities. (well for me anyways)

I had my op with Dr Chuang in taiwan and I literally saw him every day and was given shots each day. When a wound appeared inside my lower lip after a week because I was moving it too much (from talking and probably doing things i wasnt suppose to) - he spotted it straight away and managed to fix the wound. He said he removed some debris from me eating congee i think if it was left it would have fell in my stitches and infected my implant over time.

With my nose it was cleaned inside each day and there are some areas deep inside your nose which the doctor can only clean with tweezers and other materials. My nose was very well looked after and its been 11 days now and swelling has dramatically reduced compared to after surgery.
ouch! take real good care for the next 2-3 mths. and enjoy ur new life!

did u take tianqi for post op wound healing?
whats tianqi? I'm only taking the medication which the doctor asked me to take.

Inspired by badboy's post - I thought I share with people what is a Dr Chuang style male nose looks like after 13 days of surgery. I had virtually the similar type of procedures done to my nose as badboy except I opt'd for a L Silicon Implant instead of gortex which if you backtrack or search you can see my reasons.

My face cheeks/chin/lower chin is still swollen but its slowly subsiding.

The tip and bridge of my nose is still swollen also so I think it will get smaller after time. I post another pic up in 2-3 months time to compare.

My nose is actually more sharper in reality than in the front view of the pic.

Link to my pictures (apologies for the bandage I still have a wound inside my lower lip and its needed so I dont irritate it) :

I have a blog where I blogged, video, took pic of the 11-13 days up until now where I wrote down all my thoughts and experience when I went through the surgery so rather than posting pages and pages here if you are interested in knowing my first hand experience then pm me for my blog. Note I blogged it because there is alot of fake people and posters who posts on boards on procedures and hopefully my information will give you more insight into surgeon choices and a real account of surgery.

Hi jovin,

I think tianqi is the herbs to make a person to grow taller during puberty rite?
As what i've know, tian qi helps in faster recovery process for wounds....

jovinliu wrote:Tanjhj,

Are you sure tianqi helps in wound healing?! What i know is that tianqi improves blood circulation, that's why it shouldn't be taken when i woman is menstruating. In this case, how can a person who had just gone through operation take tianqi?

Yay! I'm glad that was the case. I'm so happy for you, Shermaine. I can tell that my nose is improving as the days go by, too. I guess we just need to be patient, and keep the faith. Take care of yourself!
