Hi Shazza, thanks for sharing your experiences.
Hmmm did Dr.chuang mentioned how many days before hand for a smoker to stop smoking before the surgery?

smoking

Post by Shazza » Sat, 24 Mar 2007 11:47 pm

he mentioned a week before and a week after surgery. if you really need to smoke he says better to blow through mouth and not nose and throw the ciggie away after a few puffs...

i am hoping to quit before the surgery...think esp if i am doing a open rhino...might hinder the healing process

I plan to re-do my double eyelid & kyt & nosejob.. probably considering dimple too hehez..

Nope, I dont have any running nose probs so far... like wat Shazza mentioned, it may hinder in the healing process esp if u doing rhino..

Hi Shazza, thks for sharing with us on Dr Chuang. Glad to hear that you had a gd experience with him. I have not personally seen him but through the emails, I like his style of suggestions based on what is necessary for us and not just blindly give us what we want. I feel that is very professional of him, so decide to go ahead with him. I think there is a few podders here that did ps with him before and results are very satisfactory. Hope there are more ppl who had done with him can share more with us?

^^same case as yourself. I too have double eyelids yet want to make my eyes seem bigger.

btw when I typed in epicanthoplasty I came up with http://www.drmeronk.com/asian/asian-root-z.html.
Hope that helps[?]

Still looking for a hotel to stay, argh only if something was in walking distance AND "affordable".

Hi moodyy,

How many days are u considering to stay in taipei? If u are staying for many days, how bout checking out taipei's studio apartment? I think its more worth it for e $$$ as you can stay up to one month for e $$ u spent on hotel...
Im considering studio apartment but have yet to decide on which one to stay... keke

Oh yes, those are good pics to explain KYT aka Epicanthoplasty. glad that u posted it.. drmeronk website really detailed and useful.

There is V and Z cutting for Epicanthal Fold, however i not sure which is better but logically V cutting should have less scarring.
However Epicanthoplasty has quite high chances of scarring thus if wanna do must take note and be prepared. also u may need to hide the scar for months else may be easily noticeable in closeup.

Thus Appletree, i just realise u smoke and u are going for epicanthoplasty thus u better be 2x more prepared or consider seriously.

rainbow5 wrote:I also checked out Devaju while I am in taiwan. Looks rather good & comfy but price is near $100 SGD per night, too steep. Definitely better than Bali. Bali u can see ppl behaving un-discretely while waiting to check in even during early afternoon. Dun think its safe for a girl to stay there alone....

TS hotel is in Ximending area. Cab in Taiwan start off at NT 80. Each time it jumps wld be NT 5. Meter wld jump ard 5-10 secs each time???

From Taoyuan airport to Taibei cost ard NT 1000 for a 30-40 min journey.

20TWD = 1 SGD so cab starts at S$4 and jump at 25cents each time. Now just need to find out how long and how far are the various hotel from the Zhong Xiao Dun Hua Metro Station.

Else can take MRT coz i read that each stop is like spore, ard 5 mins apart. thus XMD will be 5 stations away from ZHong xiao Dun Hua Station or other clinic. i think can ask the hotels u are staying for estimate price for cab fare.

http://www.johomaps.com/as/taiwan/taipe ... metro.html

the abv can be used for travelling to other PS clinic too, I think Dr SU clinic is 1or2 stations away from Dr C. clinic.

XMD for shopping Shilin for makan.. hmm at least can do some travelling while i m in taiwan..

Waoo... up to 2 weeks is kinda long & if u considering staying up in e a hotel, per night is how much? $300-400 per night? For a stuido apartment is roughly 500-700++ per month.....
Maybe u can ask your spouse or close friend to accompany you go there bah, then u wont be so lonely down there.. 8-)
