But seriously hotels near Dr Chuang clinic are all rather expensive cos the area is sort of golden district.

kinda agree with yah thats why i keep finding hotels that are cheap in taiwan.

do note that dejavu hotel is also a love hotel but the feedback has been rather good with no surround sound or extra activity found during the stay there by some forumers. as for bali hotel.. really cant check in there like a normal hotel even if it is a love hotel? coz i find the price cheap.

but does it offer free wireless? wireless very impt else cant surf web to update us on the Surgery.. lol

another popular hotel in taipei is this http://www.tshotel.com.tw/english/02_guestroom.htm

however u need to call months in adv to book and also u need to take cab to dr chuang clinic as it is not near his clinic. twd1080 per nite.

this is the cheapest hotel i found so far in taipei with free wireless. i wonder if the saving from this hotel is able to cover the return taxi trip from dr chuang clinic? anyone know how much is taxi in taipei?

I also checked out Devaju while I am in taiwan. Looks rather good & comfy but price is near $100 SGD per night, too steep. Definitely better than Bali. Bali u can see ppl behaving un-discretely while waiting to check in even during early afternoon. Dun think its safe for a girl to stay there alone....

TS hotel is in Ximending area. Cab in Taiwan start off at NT 80. Each time it jumps wld be NT 5. Meter wld jump ard 5-10 secs each time???

From Taoyuan airport to Taibei cost ard NT 1000 for a 30-40 min journey.

Hi appletree

In the US it's recommended to stop smoking 3 weeks before and after any kind surgery, not just ps. Most doctors will not operate on patients if they refuse to stop smoking. It is a great health risk for the patients and insurance risk for the doctors.

For ps, the main concern is brusing and swelling could be worse and takes much longer tiime to go away. You may like to google on the smoking and surgery related info, difficult to explain in detail here.

good for u appletree.. i just checked mine..no reply yet. waiting patiently :) just curious, wat procedures u going to do with Dr Chuang?

btw, I'm a smoker myself. I will advise that u try to refrain from smoking few days or at least one day before ur op. Also after op, try to stay away from cigs until your swelling is better, maybe 1-2wks. I know it's difficult but for it is for the sake of your healing. In fact, i'm in the midst of recovering frm lipo now and it has been 2wks since I last touch a stick.. so must bear with it in order to be "mei mei" hee :P

thks for the link for the studio apartment.. am checkin it out now.. saw a few cheap hotels in xi men ding area, maybe can consider coz I think is not too far to Dr Chuang's clinic rite..

sorry about the Bali hotel post... I really don't know (like I said) since I have never been there. I'm glad that other people know though.

yea... smoking is a no no... It will increase your chances of scarring by a lot... not only just slow down healing time.
For the person who gets sick, eat vitamin c or fruit juices because this increases your collagen production and builds up your immune system.

It's beginning to worry me that Tanjh is recommending Wishclinic so much. He's almost like a walking advertisement. I hope this is really not the case for the sake of everyone else.

Hi Tanjh,

I'd like to know what you think about goretex vs. silicone for a nose implant.

Thanks!!!

Hi all, just wanna share with you my experience when i visited Dr chuang in taiwan. I went down for a consultation and i must say he is very patient and explained to me all the procedures that might be having. i left the clinic confident and at ease. That morning, he had many patients but he didnt rush through the consultation which i thought was very professional of him. Initally i wanted to have an open rhino, eyelid surgery and jaw shaving for a sharper face shape.

He wasn't pushy and he told me that i didnt need the jaw shaving procedure and told me to think twice as he feels that my face shape didnt require it. He also told me tat i didnt need a eye lid surgery as my eyes were ok and that i can look into a open rhino for a more defined tip. i was very surprised as i didnt expect him to asked me to consider not having procedures done. he showed me pic of patients who have the same "nose" as me and the after pictures were nice. Overall, the clinic was well organised and i will decided to go to him for my surgery in Aug/ Sept. if anyone is interested to have a jaw shaving procedure, healing time is longer and more painfu, prob have to stay ard 14 days in taiwan. Well will update on my ultimate decision on what procedures i will be doing.
