It's damn easy to point finger at others, blame others for your own mishap. But have you really sit down and think about what's your involvement in this? Didn't you make the appointment YOURSELF? Didn't you went to the surgery WILLINGLY? Didn't you sign on the Letter of Consent with your OWN hand? Who the hell forced you in all these stages? What do you want to blame someone else on? For his/her recommendation? The other way round, if the surgery came out fantastic marvellous and you look damn good, do you actually feel gratitude towards the person who gave you his recommendation? Do you buy him/her lunch to express your gratitude? Will you tell the whole world that due to that person's recommendation, you look wonderful. Will you, honestly?

It happened so frequently in this forum. Someone new came in, introduced him/herself, ask for advices, try to dig before and after pictures and other relevant information which he/she needs, after surgery he/she just MIA. You think we, who have been in here for the longest time, don't feel upset and used? What do you guys treat us as? Free online support and Q&A?

It appears to me all these "slaughtering" at Tanjhj is because he always give "professional" advices which seems to be copied from some websites, get people to send their photos to him for "assessment" and "recommendation". This should be refrained, definitely. But you have to be objective in your judgement too, to be fair to everyone. If not, you are just making a fool of yourself.

For those who are prejudice against Tanjhj, if you really want to seek fairness, list down all the points on WHY you are turning against him, what did he do and in what way he caused you harm and inconvenience. If you are just joining in the fun, please, there are other better things to do, if you haven't realized.

Hi Flymetothemoon,

I believe you are referring to me when you mentioned the person who said "overreacted".

All procedures, whether big scale or not, have certain risks as Murphy's Law stated "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong". There is no 100% guarantee that all procedures will turn out fine. I felt sorry for the gal too but end of the day, itz a procedure that went the other way.

As I mentioned before, advises are to be taken as a reference and guidelines inline with what we have in mind on our perceived image on the end results. I am sure everyone makes decisions with references and advises from others. Dun we???? Even buying a simple dress or buying a new car, we all seek for some advise and opinion from another party.

I am not trying to say anyone deserves to be put down for any cause but I am only trying to tell the person whose fren's procedure went wrong to stop whining abt other ppl giving advises cuz end of the day. The receiver is the one who decides whether to take the advise and he or she is RESPONSIBLE for his/her own decision.

I believe in Karma too but I dun think I have any wrong here in telling the person whose fren's procedure went wrong that ppl should stop listening to advises and opinions.

I rest my case here and hope that I have made my point clear.

Peace.

Agree totally. I did send tanjhj my pic, and all i expect was just an ADVICE, and OPINION of what he thinks. He said i require an open rhino, purely L implant may not sharpen my tip. Does that mean i have to listen to him and do korean style open rhino? NO. You are blaming him because the result didn't turn out to be something you like. But it was rather funny imagining dr sukit talking to tanjhj over the phone with tan explaining to him the procedures.

Apart from that, i wanna hear from more who've had their double chins removed! i don't know what's the problem but it is PURELY saggy skin under my chin and NOT fats. Lipo = remove fats, but i bo fats to remove, how?

actually takuda, i didnt tell him what to do lah.. i just told him who i am and i am the one who consulted him earlier, and told him to give YCA, my friend i recommended from the spore forum, a natural looking nose as possible. but i dun noe why he angri.. maybe becoz i didnt do the surgery with him after publishing abt it in forums.. i keep my finger crossed....

Dear Forumers,

I only just read alan's thread abt his fren upset over her PS which didnt turn out to her expectation.

I think abt it seriously, if what he say is true, i think yes i have to take a part of the blame. i apologise to her for it, if there is any need, i will do whatever within my mean to help.

as i dun keep PM or emails nor sms of forumers who are kind enough to trust me by sending me their Pic, i really cant remember any gal who emailed me went to oversea for surgery other than to Dr Su, Dr Chuang, Dr Jung and Hanfong. Coz i usually recommend only this 4 clinic last time, so i wonder if alan's fren went to any of the abv 4. if yes, so far those that did their PS and replied me are relatively positive result so far.

Nevertheless i like to apologise one more time to Alan and his fren. i will be more discrete and less xealous in my future postings and further sharing of PS knowledge.

Yca, why aren't you happy with your nose? Can you please elaborate because I am going to have a rhinoplasty with him in June.

I don't know tanjhj and don't mean to seem like I'm defending him but he did give some good advice on this forum before (although he's very pompous at times) I remember asking him if he will mind me sending him my photo so that he can recommend what can be done on my nose. But he didn't reply...guess he didn't like me enough :P Of course, I won't just listen to his advice and do whatever he suggested. I believe in doing my homework before buying new products or having plastic surgery. I don't mean to sound mean but honestly, why will anyone believe blindly what someone said especially when it's a someone whom he/she doesn't know? I won't. I asked for advice so that I have more choices/information but that doesn't mean I will follow blindly whatever that person said.
Also sometimes, it's not just the skill of the doctor that determines the outcome, luck plays a part too.
I know because I had an eye job done by a very famous and highly raved doctor but I had to have many revisions done and even then, it didn't help.
In the end, I went to BKK and the doctor there managed to make it better.
Still, I am not deterred...anything for a prettier face :)

pinky,

hmmm i didnt know when u send me ur PM. coz there is a period of them my replies to the PM are not send. it see there is something wrong with my laptop then or i have overlook ur PM. however i do remember ur name on my mailbox last time

so far, i have always tried to replied all the PM, msn and emails. nevertheless, if there is still need of my help, u can still PM me.

as for dr sukit, i think got to think twice of ur op with him now since there is a complaint abt him, at least till YCA issue is settled or so.

i regretted a lot A LOT not extending my stay, all coz i would hav done some shopping!!
so much to buy..so little time!
i spent us$4000 for the op which includes medication, f/up consultations, and then us$390 for accomodation. it would hav beenc heaper, but i booked the double room thinking my friend was joining me...but who would hav expected she played me out last min...but anyway yea, so for the op only those stuff

loads of taxi to and fro and i aso bought gbroceries there, very teeny bit of shopping all in all abt us$200 or slightly less.

ticket itself cost me a bomb though!=(

Shermaine,

you left korea so fast.. was thinking of asking you to help me get LUSH soap from Korea LUSH store.. if u coming back to spore..

nevertheless enjoy ur healing process. expect ur face to look different every month as the Rhino job may change ur cheek and chin shape abit.
usually the nose will get shaper as the swelling tone down. however the tip, which is the fartherest from ur face usually take the longest to heal and to get into the final shape. may need up to 1 year thou usually 2- 6 months for most ppl

Tanjhj,

It's wrong to involve yourself in this. It should be between YCA and the doctor, YCA should discuss clearly with the doctor what she wants and what she expects, why are you involved in it?

If i am the doctor, i will be angry too. Who are you, to tell me what i should do to my patient? It's not about you not doing the surgery with him after publishing in forum... there are so many ppl who go for consultation but didn't do anything with the surgeon. It's about the feeling of being respected; respected on his professionalism. He is not a child who need you to tell him what to do and how to do. You can't teach a tailor how to sew your suit, how can you teach a reowned plastic surgeon what to do then? Yes you only mentioned to him to give YCA a natural nose, but why you and not her telling him what she wants?

Would like to have some advises from you. Dr. Chuang suggest i do epicanthoplasty without any other eyelid surgery instead. But he told me that this epicanthoplasty wil makes my eye have more spirits... ermm... but im thinking to make it looks more bigger leh, keke
I've done some research on epicanthoplasty but i still dont quite understand how this epicanthoplasty can do to enchance my eyes to look more define & benefits to me.. duhz
Do u have any msn messenger? if do, pls pm me... thanks

Yes, 1stly Dr chuang, why i recommend him alot is that he dun recommend procedures which he he think u dun need. thus he is not really a sales-oriented doc.

as for him to recommend epicanthoplasty only, he must have think ur eyelid is big and nice enough so he may just wanna remove the excess flab from the inner corner of your eyes to make it bigger/wider and also to make ur eyes look closer together and not so wide apart thus resulting in more harmonious looking eyes.
also after doing epicanthoplasty, u inner corner of ur eye will look sharper and at the edge

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epicanthal_fold

i have PM u my msn.

Hi tanjhj,

Its been a week still no reply yet from Dr.Chuang...wonder was it that i asked him so many questions. heh.
So this epicanthoplasty can makes my double eye lid looks deeper? Is this procedure known as kai yan tou too?? Or issit that their procedues both have e same results for eyes?

Hmmm.. is ur msn automated reply one?

Jovin,

Hey its me, lolita, i have post few threads in this forum but anyway i havent been following up n therefore i have lost my password n some other information to log into this account.

The reason i am writing to you is becasue i really need your advice. Im at the verge of breaking down.
Remember i told you once when i had eyelid surgery with Dr. Somsak in BKK?

Well, i seriously didnt like it after sometime, thought it looked quite hideous n unbalanced.

I went back to him last jan to ask him to un stitch my eyes back to the normal crease.
The crease is still the same.

I think my eyelid's tissues are badly scarred and i did call him to ask him why is this so. He said that my tissues are not heal properly and therefore needs anothe revision to remove the scarring inside.

I can feel the pain of the tissues too!!!....Now, i really thought about it. Im going to see another plastic surgeon about this and i need your help badly.

1. Can you recommend me a good surgeon in Korea that perform revisions?
2. Will language be a great barrier?
3. Your suggestions of good plastic surgeons are welcome.

I feel like i am falling into depression because i have lost the beauty of life and the natural heritage of my face.
Im not who i am anymore.
And i need to do something about it, please help.
regards,

gia

Hi Lolita,

Yes i remember you, you went bangkok to do your eyes and i thought you said you like it? Looks flirty that kind :)

Anyway, i really do not know much about korea. Before you settle on a surgeon in Korea, make sure he can communicate fairly well in English, if not it's going to tell him what you want and expects. If you ask about Taipei, i can suggest Dr Chuang to you. I had search in Taiwan forum, alot of the girls recommended Dr Chuang as one of the top plastic surgeon in Taipei and so far had not read any bad review on him.

I'm going to him in end April to re-do my eyes, i didn't like mine as well eventhough i can live with it. My cease abit too low to my liking. If you can wait, you can wait till i come back, at least recover for 1 month and let you know how was the result.

Hi there,

I want to go to him, whats the address and pleae advise on the following if u could:

1. Does he do any eyelid revisions or eyelid surgeries?
2. How much did it cost you for your nose?

I have my nose done by dr. jung on Feb, its been a month but my nose look very nature and define. I told him I don't want high bridge and he listen, I love my new nose. The most important thing is he is very responsible doctor and he care his patient a lots. He told me if I have any infection or problem. I can come back to him anytime. Trust him!

I think dr. jung don't need anyones to introduce new patient to him. He is very famous already 8-)
she will need to go back to the doctor who did the 1st time for her revision, this is the suggestion make by most doctor, including Dr Su.
She can cut her eyelid again but then she need to expect higher chance of complication and she may not like the result of the revision as there are high % of unsatisfactory revision job as it is much harder to do than cutting it the 1st time..

not forgotting it is highly recommended not to do more than 3 times eyelid surgery in one's life time.. thus she may like to seek best doctor for advice and suggestion before proceeding ahead..
Hey there Tanjhj,

I am reconsidering to do another eyelid revision and may i ask why do u highly recommend not to do more than 3 times eyelid surgery i one's life.
Like i told jollin before, i went to him to revised my eyelids to remove the stitches so i acn have my natural eyelids back but there is scarring in the tissue and therefore the fold is still there and still the same. Please help.

Thanks!
