Hi everyone,

Me very long nv post liao. Getting super lazy & upset to post lah. Course i now hate my nose more than before ps mah. Also dont know what to do now about my nose leh. just dont feel like talking or seeing anyone lor. so have been keep delaying finding a job too!! i dont even come into this forum often now. Anyway the reason why i'm posting now is bcoz i just read tht someone (alan something) had said something real mean to Tanjhj, and i hope tat Tanjhj dont be really bothered by what he had said lor. u had meant in a good and kind way to help out the ppl here in the forum, but maybe really like what ocean11 had say, maybe just a little overboard lor.

To be a little honest and be frank w u, now when i everytime think back to the time before my ps surgery, to be frank, the 1st time i saw dr for consulation, he bad mood. the 2nd time i go for ps (that's right before surgery, he slightly good mood, but after i passed my hp to let him talk to u, he became even more bad mood!!!! I think as he's mood already no good, yet u keep telling him what to do and not to do and /or wasted his time or whatever, makes him even more bad mood lor. So that's why he didnt bother to talk or explain to me anything lor. And bad communication = bad results and bad feelings lor!

Anyway, i have to admit that slightly he's bad mood is caused by you, as i can see he's face changed when u were talking to him. But then the real fault is not w you lah. Is w him!! Because as a dr, how can he good mood then do good, bad mood then anyhow do leh? Should be for every patient must do his best right? So i cant blame u but him right?

Anyway, i'm posting because as i very long nv post, in case wait other ppl here (those who know abt it) might think that the friend of Alan is me mah!! So i just wanna write to say that i'm not the Alan 's friend at all lor.

And also to tell Tanjhj not to be really bothered by what he had said lah. U really got spend yr time and helped quite alot of ppl here mah. And u also got help to give me advice on the after care rules & etc as my dr nv bothered to tell me @ all.

And to tht 'Alan's friend', (if she or alan is reading this) ps surgery is a personal choice, turn out good or not good is really no one not even the dr can guarantee one. But if really die die one to blame someone, then blame the dr. Because if he cant do it or dont feel like in a mood to do it, then dont do it! why take ppl's money already and spolit someone's face? (Unless it's due to infection then cant blame dr lor) But anyway, can always find someother dr to redo it lor. (only problem is have to again find $ , find/plan the available time, and also to cross fingers that this time round everything will be ok lor!! )

Anyway, i would like to ask those ppl who had done their surgery elsewhere, but go to another dr in spore for either review /redo/ remove stitchs or etc, - who do u go to? Will u feel pai seh to see the new dr, as the original operation was not done by him? Anyone who knows which dr who is not sales oriented but can really give honest advice? As i wanna go see local dr for advice, but i scare they sales oriented and tell me this and that and make me do redo w them. Scare i will spend even more money, time/effort/gg through the pain just to ' take heavy rock and throw on my own feet leh'!!! Anyone can pls kindly share on this or advice me ?? I been thinking for very long, but dont know who should i go to or not lei?

And oh yes, to Cupid, glad to hear that u r ok now. Saw yr pics on yr eyes, very very nice. Trying to put up the pic to electric gals here is it? hee hee just kidding lah. Anyway, really very nice , very strong and powerful too. Like yr eyes can say a thousand words like that.

Sorry to hear that, can ask you a few questions?

1)How long have you done your nose? In Sin?

2)Do you feel comfortable with the dr you consult?

3)If not, why chose him?

4)Because Tanjhj recommanded you???

5)Did you tell /show the dr what type of nose you want during consulation?

From my PS experience, I think it's best to communicate with the dr what you want during consulation & show him samples of photos whose nose & the type of nose you want.
If the dr can do & I felt comfortable with him then will let him do,coz my HAPPINESS & FACE is in his hands
I will rather believe ppl who had done their PS before than someone who had never done any PS before to instruct me OR the PS DRs what to do for my face & what is suitable for me.

Any DRs or me sure get mad rite???

I am a person who has MIND of my own,I think I'm really CRAZY, STUPID & NAIVE if I am to listen to someone who is not a DR or someone have not done any PS before sorry to say that just my thoughts

Someone who has not undergone PS before doesn't know anything.. just by consulting PS Drs where he gain his "so called" PS knowledge.

CONSULT,CONSULT,CONSULT from SIN, JB, THAI PS Drs but no PS is done at all.Think consult more than 15 PS Drs liao, this person is very WELL KNOWN in this PS industry We can crown him "KING OF PS"


Last but not least, remember your HAPPINESS & FACE is in the hands of your own PS DRs, not the "KING OF PS".

Better consult PS doctors & ask for advice. Be safe than to be sorry

Yca, why aren't you happy with your nose? Can you please elaborate because I am going to have a rhinoplasty with him in June.

I don't know tanjhj and don't mean to seem like I'm defending him but he did give some good advice on this forum before (although he's very pompous at times) I remember asking him if he will mind me sending him my photo so that he can recommend what can be done on my nose. But he didn't reply...guess he didn't like me enough Of course, I won't just listen to his advice and do whatever he suggested. I believe in doing my homework before buying new products or having plastic surgery. I don't mean to sound mean but honestly, why will anyone believe blindly what someone said especially when it's a someone whom he/she doesn't know? I won't. I asked for advice so that I have more choices/information but that doesn't mean I will follow blindly whatever that person said.
Also sometimes, it's not just the skill of the doctor that determines the outcome, luck plays a part too.
I know because I had an eye job done by a very famous and highly raved doctor but I had to have many revisions done and even then, it didn't help.
In the end, I went to BKK and the doctor there managed to make it better.
Still, I am not deterred...anything for a prettier face

Before you exposed Tanjhj for making commission for introducing patients to Dr Chuang in Taipei, do you have concrete PROOF? If not, do you understand that both Tanjhj and Dr Chuang can sue you for deflamation? If you do not have proof to what you stated below, do you understand you are seriously causing much harm to Dr Chuang for claiming an unaccurate fact?

I do not care what's the argument about between you and Tanjhj, but again, without PROOF, you shouldn't be deflaming a doctor about his reputation and professionalism. I emailed Dr Chuang before, very clearly, he stated his price even without me mentioning Tanjhj's name. So that means when I mention Tanjhj, Dr Chuang will charge me 20% more, claiming that he "forgot" he increased his price recently and did not mention it in the email he sent me?

This reply is not to protect Tanjhj's interest, but more to state facts. If you have actual proof of your claim, please share with everyone. Actual proof as in email received from Dr Chuang claiming the fact, some written confirmation, or some written proof with endorsement. Not SOMEWHERE or SOMEONE you HEARD this piece of information from.

I do express my condolence to that lady who had suffered depression due to her failed surgery. What can we do to help her? Firstly, she didn't do her surgery in Singapore hence it will be very difficult to claim against a surgeon overseas. Secondly, she needs proof to sue the doctor for the failed surgery due to his negligence or mistake. Thirdly, hope she didn't forget that she had actually signed that piece of Letter of Consent that the doctor will not be liable for the surgery. So, what can we do to help, except to express our deepest regrets that such incident happens to her? How many times must the statement "Plastic Surgery is not only about choosing the best surgeon; it is also about luck and potential" be drilled right into everyone's head?

I do not want to be a hypocrite and ask just for the sake of asking, ask how is she, hope she is alright, hope things are going fine for her, hope she's out of depression blah blah blah. The main question is, yes we all feel sorry for her, but there's really nothing we can help. She may want to consider a revision. Yes you may say that once bitten twice shy, after the first failure she got no confidence in going through it again. She got 2 choice: to accept fact and live on. To pluck up courage, give herself one more chance and go through procedures again. No third choice.

Personally, I've done double eyelid in sg few yrs ago but i feel it wasn't properly done.. have actually went for revision already by the same surgeon. After comin across this thread, i came to know abt Dr Chuang and emailed him for advice. I'm quite comfortable with his suggestions actually and thinking of goin to him for my eyes & nose. i will be going there for my operation this year end. however, if bonus is good this year and i save enough. may fly directly to korea for dr Jung instead.

Hi tanjhj, may i know if dr chuang gave u a final package price when u confirm u are doing the surgery with him? as he onli quoted me the breakdown of charges of each surgery & his suggestions and did mentioned he will give a package price. i replied him dat I'm keen & ask him for a package price but been a week yet no reply from him... i wonder if he's too bz to reply or cuz i asked for any discount U mean we can book the op with him nw even if u doin at end of year?

I believe you are referring to me when you mentioned the person who said "overreacted".

All procedures, whether big scale or not, have certain risks as Murphy's Law stated "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong". There is no 100% guarantee that all procedures will turn out fine. I felt sorry for the gal too but end of the day, itz a procedure that went the other way.

As I mentioned before, advises are to be taken as a reference and guidelines inline with what we have in mind on our perceived image on the end results. I am sure everyone makes decisions with references and advises from others. Dun we???? Even buying a simple dress or buying a new car, we all seek for some advise and opinion from another party.

I am not trying to say anyone deserves to be put down for any cause but I am only trying to tell the person whose fren's procedure went wrong to stop whining abt other ppl giving advises cuz end of the day. The receiver is the one who decides whether to take the advise and he or she is RESPONSIBLE for his/her own decision.

I believe in Karma too but I dun think I have any wrong here in telling the person whose fren's procedure went wrong that ppl should stop listening to advises and opinions.

I rest my case here and hope that I have made my point clear.

nobody knows who is tanjhj as the forum is a place of illusion sometimes. exercise care & caution when reading info on this forum as its very easy for one to post here w/o having to bear any responsibility.

But be careful with words too as I have came across some forumers who have to post notice of apology to Doctors for their un-sunstantiated posts which are defamatory in context.

Lastly, I believe tanjhj is not any doc by disguise as no doc wld be so free to post in forums when every sec of their time is money.

I personally went to Dr Su for consultation not because of tanjhj. I have been observing the taiwanese forums for a few mths before I shortlist Dr Su as the doc whom I wld visit while on holiday trip to taiwan.

advice which u told me and i consider it wise n i kinda stop responding to requests except some simpler recomendation of doc. procedures recommendation has stopped long ago. I m kinda tired too, in fact last year was so obessed with PS that i almost failed exams n have character changes, become very judgemental of ppl looks. :???: so i hope those younger forumers to be aware of this problem..

Hi, I feel very sorry for ur fren.

I understand wat its like to be all optimistic & in the end reality does not approve it. It wld be a valuable lesson learnt in this forum.

But in her case, is it the doc who perform operation on your fren who have over-promised ur fren in terms of the results & being over-optimistic? If its such a case, it wld be very irresponsible of the doc in the 1st place. Is it convenient to reveal who is the doc if this is really the case?

Few months back, my fren told me she read this forum, and learnt a lot abt PS from this guy. so, she used ALL her hard-earned $ and went overseas for her PS. she was very optimistic abt it. and as a fren, i did not think much, but gave her all my blessing.

However, what she got from the PS conflicts with what was promised by the surgeon earlier...*and all the drama mama occured*... she returned back to singapore, disappointed.

now, she was no longer the jovial fren i used to know. she was in sheer despair, and had a depression due to her PS.

so tell me, moderator, do u know hw it feels like to see yr fren in devastation?
have u sped in the middle of the night, just to arrive at her place to see her collapsing on the floor, in despair, crying?
have u wiped those hot tears from her face?
words of comfort like,"dun cry...it'll be all right..." have ALL-ALL become desensitised, like spoken to deaf ears. she was so defenceless, and helpless, AND YET, as a fren, i cld do- nothing. NOTHING AT ALL.

I watched her crying to sleep that night, what did u see, moderator?

some say, opinons come with a price and responsibility. I do not noe what "HE" has paid for his "not-happy-dun-read-post". but my fren, she has paid a far too heavy price n painful trauma for it. tell me, moderator, is it fair? (DUN tell me abt the all risk abt PS..no gurantee results or whatsoever, i hv done my nose, i noe. BUT the fact is, someone HERE has been victimized by another's fantasy of being a "dr", and listen to him).

Sending ppl ur picture to paint a perfect face is just not feasible & it may un-intentionally make you obsess with unrealistic thoughts. Discussing it with the doc is more practical.

Sometimes we know of our unrealistic expectations but we just hope for someone to give us the support saying that it can be done. But pls maintain a clear mind abt it, our face is not like a plastic mould which we can change it in watever way we want, natural limitations exist in the first place. Know wat u wan in the first place & discuss with the doc to see if feasibe instead of asking a stranger wat is suitable for ur face.

hi guys, juz thought i'll update a little.

it's the 14th day since my nose op with dr. jung. so far so good. my scars are practically invisible, didnt req concelaer at all. as i bruise fairly easily, my bruises esp bottom part of eyes and cheek area are still slightly evident, but fading subtlely everyday, so juz hoping its all better by this weekend!

london's weather is relly relly cold the past few days, snowing and all at this time of the year!, and while everyone was shielding fr the cold, i relished it!! coz it makes my swelling go down at such a fast pace!
(yea so the only fool standing out in the freezing cold was me)

i do find that my swelling is not in proportion though, right is definitely more swollen than left, likewise the bruises. hopefully that evens out soon too. tip wise its still round.

funny thing is, after this ps, i realised that one has to be relly relly realistic abt the aftermath. i think coz maybe i only did the nose, yes, it did make quite an improved diff. to my whole profile when i compare it to previous photos of myself, but not a largely significant one as wat i might hav expected.
once in a while, i get doubts at whether i shud have changed it more, let dr. jung sharpen it more etc etc, but at the end of the day, 1) i hav to tell myself that natural is prob. the best for me and 2) its still early days of recovery!

take like yday, i suddenly grew relly relly unhappy with the tip, seein how its still not as defined as i would like it to be, after a nights rest, i woke up this morning, and on the contrary, was fairly happy at wat i saw in the mirror! guess its still like mentioned, early days of recovery when everything swells up still. as long as the tip continues to improve and swell down (if there is such a word!) i will be a happy clam!=)

aso, someone mentioned abt the face swelling up after op, dont worry! mine swelled up A LOT esp right after the op! not sure why too. even dr. jung was fairly surprised, and gave me an additional jab of antibiotics! amazingly, after that given, and the cast taken off, my swelling decreased A LOT over the next 4-5days. it was like a miracle! esp when i was so worried abt facing the world at the airport.
oh and i aso used the hot pack very conscientiously after the cast was removed, i.e 20min every hr. i found that it relly speeded the selling downtime!
