Re: botox

Post by jovinliu » Mon, 26 Feb 2007 7:33 pm

If you do botox numerous times, the effect is going to last longer and longer. My dear, Botox is a kind of poison, no way you can inject a whole lot, the doctor won't want to be charged with murder...

Thanks so much for being in this forum! so helpful, and nice!
I was wondering about your botox... if you do it enough times, does it become permanent? or can you inject a whole lot and have it be more effective... is it more effective the more you do it? Is there a more permanent thing that you can do other than lipo or bone shaving? how does it all work?

Thanks so much! again!
Hmmm... what should I do next? Cheekbone reduction maybe?

I wash my face first, before showering. The cleansing foam apply only on face, avoid eye area like plaque, then when rinse water i use wet cloth to wipe and rinse, wipe and rinse many times until no more soapy feeling.

When washing hair, i tilt my hair backwards and make sure no water will drip down my face. Or if you want to be really careful, go wash hair in salon. But please don't avoid washing your hair for 1 week hor, the smell and oily scalp will torture ppl around you :D

It's really easy, basic survival skills!

do u mind sharing how u took care of ur eyes during the initial stage?
Any tips on how u avoided water from touching ur eyes as we have to wash our face, bathe & washhair? Did u do cold compress?
jovinliu wrote:I think there are numerous factors contributing to my reduced swelling time. First, naturally my body don't swell much and long. Secondly, i was taking sinecch. Thirdly, weather was quite cooling. Lastly, i REALLY TOOK VERY GOOD CARE OF MYSELF after surgery and before removing stitches. I can proudly tell you that not even 1 teeny weeny drop of water landed on the wound. That's how good i took care of it :?

Yes after removing stitches doctor gave me cream for reducing scar.

Wow, I was amazed by ur speed of recovery. 8 days only looked very natural & nice liao. Those I saw on Taiwan forum looked very swollen during the first 2 weeks-1 mth.

Was wondering is it's becos of sinnech? cos I saw another forumer's photo who also took sinnech before the surgery & her eyes dun look very swollen even on the first day of surgery. If so, I must ask the doctor if they have supply when I go for consultation.

Did u apply any cream on ur lids for scar removing? I dun want to leave visible scar on the lids...

I did consider doing eyelash implant before, UNTIL i saw the article on that in the 2nd issue of Cosmetic Surgery and beauty magazine. It's simply not worth it to go thru all that to grow a few stupid "mao".

It's very painstaking, and it's not for everybody. As quoted by a Dr. Cheong in the article:

"Not many surgeons do this, not because they can't but rather it is so tedious to perform that surgeons just rather say they do not want to do this. I tell them just stick on the adhesive eyelashes because, to me, this would be easier for the patient than having surgery"

You have to accept the fact that the lashes that was transplanted onto your eyelid may not survive, and may just fall off. But not all lah i mean, maybe 1 or 2 out of 10 will drop.

does it make a difference when eyelash implant is done in thailand or more costly taiwan??

anygal interested to join as well? hhmm...

Hey all,

1) please don't go to any clinic even if they offer you the cheapest price. Nowadays because of the lucrative business in the context of beauty, even GPs offers botox, chemical peels, IPL etc. GPs are not professionally trained in facial contours, yes they can inject botox into your face but they may not have the right skills to do it. If not injected correctly, some of it will go to waste, and in the end either you have 1-size-big-1-size-small jaws or the result is not up to expectation.

2) Jaw reduction surgery or botox, i will choose the latter. Much lower risk, and do not have to go thru the pain and horror of the recovery period.

3) if you plan to go taiwan for surgeries and you can't speak mandarin, please bring along someone who can.

To reinforce, I took MC 2weeks back and my office GP offered Botox injection for only $500 (jaws). It's really cheap however, as advised by some of us here, GPs do not have as good so-called artistic views of a human facial expression than a Plastic Surgeon.

Not saying GPs are not good, but i won't risk my face on a GP compared to a Plastic surgeon.

---------------------------------------------

Jovin, for a moment, i cannot believe that Botox did such a great difference to your face, comparing the before and after pics. And I thought you had done jaw surgery initially.

Its a job well done, and you look really good compared to before. :D

I've just emailed to Dr Park Hyun Cheol from OZ clinic and got a reply soon after.

Apparently you can send him your pic and your favourite idol's pic and ask him for advice on what procedures to do.

I send him my pic and takeshi kaneshiro's pics, he did a virtual image for me I.e :- Eyelid incision, eyebrow implant, cheekbone reduction and chin implant. to match takeshi's face.

Guess what, i look like an alien... But really darn funny.

Pm me if you wanna see the pics.

Email Dr Park @
[email protected]

send him your pics and describe what changes you will like. He will virtualize it for you.

Have fun~

okay im a bit confused.

I got two doctors giving me different opinions on what i should get done on my nose. I have a wide nose but also a high bridge and wide bone. My tip is thick and round.

Doctor A) recommends I shouldnt narrow the nose since the nose brige will be smaller and make my tip look very large instead he said its better i raise the bridge with a slightly narrower implant and osteotomies are really only for caucasian noses. Agreed on base alar reduction.

Doctor B) Says I shoul narrow my dorsum with osteotomy and raise my bridge with a gortex implant and then shape my tip. Agreed on base alar reduction.

Anyone male had done osteotomy or the other surgery can give me some feedback and advice.

Char bor,
eyelashes can be done, i am thinking of it too but must find a good doc for that, u cant get good result on just 1st surgery, u have to go back for 2nd or 3rd time to implant more 'mao' to make it more fullest, the effect will look beta.
but it really a hassle to cut every now and den, and u have to perm it, else the lashes will just like our hair 'cha cha' one.. not nice.. think of it.. quite troublesome hor.. :???:

Hi Takuda,

KALO is good & cheap for nose job & double eyelid.

I did my nose 1mth ago with Kalo, have 5-6 friends did their nose & eyes there too.

I have attached my before & after photos below.

1st photo is before nose implant
2nd photos is 5 weeks after nose implant, nose still very swollen especially at the tip.

Have to wait for the swell to subside fully abt 6mths-1year..just keep my fingers crossed :notti:
