yea... I was thinking of Dr. Chuang too... originally, my first choice was BK, but they do their patients way too quickly...

Have you set up an appointment with them? are you going to Taiwan just for a consultation? I thought you had to set up the surgery appointment time with them way ahead of time... maybe I'm wrong. how long are you going to be in Taiwan?

Thank you!!
I spoke with Dr Jung and he says I can come in for consultation then do surgery next day if I decide on it. He is the only one so far which recommendations I prefer. Although we see what differences it makes when they see me face to face.

Dr Chuang I dont need if I have to book ahead of time I will ask him after he gives me an online opinion but I want to get his face to face opinion also.

Kaka:
I want to get surgery done after consultation and deciding which surgeon I feel can give me the results I want.

My planned timetable is taiwan 19th/20th March then Korea 21st/2nd March then depending on the conclusions of the face to face consultations I will decide which clinic to goto. I probably need 3-4 weeks recovery if I want to do jaw shaving but its mostly be nose job/chin + something.

who, kaka what kind of PS you planning on doing?

Dear Lena,

I want to have chin implant too. Mind telling me more about the bone erosion? I remember Cupid&Star did mentioned once about the bone erosion possibilities with Silicon chin implant.

Thanks!!!!

hi cupid^n^starz,

i wanted to pm u but was not allowed till i make more posts on the board. i need your advise regarding some procedures i'm seriously thinking of doing. one is forehead augmentation and the other mandibular (jaw)augmentation, by way of implants.

i want my forehead more prominent and larger. i consulted a ps in bkk. he said he uses silicon sheets to achieve this but he doesn't really understand the shape that i want. regarding the jaw, i want mine squarer and wider.

your ps perform these procedres right? let me know how i can contact u.
thanks. btw, im a 28 year old male.

Sorry for my long absence. I haven't visited this website for quite sometime as I have been pretty busy lately. I was amazed to see how long the thread was! OMG!! :o

Well, just a quick update on my post-op recovery.

Eyes - I now have a very low tapered crease that is barely visible at times (I had the same problem as Voix.. asked for a medium parallel crease but obviously Dr K wasn't listening)

Nose - My nose is still crooked (not really noticeable in person but more so in pictures), and the insides of my nose (the wall separating each nostril) still feel like this ... < > Also my breathing is partially obstructed at times (but not to the extent that I have difficulty breathing).

chin - I am glad to say that this is ok... My only worry is that it might shift out of place one day, and the risk of bone erosion.

In case you're wondering, no I do not look like a totally different person, but the results are noticeable to those who had known me in the past. For those whom I just met, they have no idea... except when they look at my eyes closeup.

As for whether I am happy with the results, well I guess the thing that bothers me the most is that my nose is crooked and the slight breathing difficulty. I plan at some point in my life to get my nose fixed by Dr Jung. Taiwanese doctors do not have as much as experience. Plus it's a bonus that Dr Jung is an ENT surgeon.

Just out of curiosity, Tanj, what makes you say that Dr Kim is one of the best plastic surgeons in the world? As for me, I still think he is an a**hole. I know my nose can be fixed, but he didn't listen to what I wanted, is really impatient and arrogant, and you can forget any post-op care, or if you have problems. At times I feel like going to him for a revision on my nose, but worry he will muck it up because of his "I never make any mistake" attitude.

Anyways, I am contemplating having lipo and/or breast augmentation in Taiwan this year.. but this is still tentative. Anyone interested? One thing about Taiwan though, they use saline implants, and apparently it isn't as natural looking or feeling as the gummybear type silicone implants.

lenna they way u describe dr kim really scare me le i plan to let him do my cheekbones, jaws and nose and chin... is he really that bad? will u recommend him for those surgeries i wan to do? ur nose crooked means slanted to one side or??

xiaozhu: then go to him =) I remember him being very short and general in his replies. Maybe you are one of the lucky few. Ultimately it is your decision. If you feel comfortable with him, then go ahead. If something goes wrong/you are unhappy, don't say I and a couple of others didn't warn you.
