Are you having such a bad life now that you want to change everything that is natural for yourself? And oh yah, if you don't take care of your weight after that, you'll still gain weight after lipo. :D

This for Elena or anyone interested,
This is a bit late since I just found out about this site but you did mentioned that you are doing this towards the end of the year. I am a post operative, 2x lipo done in Europe. Still very unsatisfied with results and proceeded to Dr. A to inform myself about further corrections. I could not agree with you more about his arrogance. And if I were tell you that the price he quoted for the "job" is more than my two op's-from-two-well-known-surgeons-in-Munich you probably won't believe me, but it's true. He is so full of himself, I am surprise he doesn't charge for incoming calls!
From experience, I can only tell you, you have to feel comfortable with your surgeon, no matter how "famous" they are. If your feeling is telling you she is a b---- or he is a d---, then trust that feeling and keep searching.
I consulted one in Gleneagles, his name eludes me, but he is on the 7th floor. Bad feeling with him and communication was like pulling teeth. I proceeded to Dr. B (Paragon) and with him, I must say I had a very positive feeling and consultation. He is also pricey but would cost less than Dr. A. I am seriously considering having the "job" done with him and would welcome any comments from his past patients, patients-to-be or someone that knows of his work.
I, too, am looking into the option Bangkok or Phuket and would love to hear any feedback or recommendations as to where to go.
As for the person suggesting not do implants at all, there are women getting implants for other reasons than increasing their size, or just for other reasons, period. If we are asking for advice as to whether to do it or not, then please feel free to kick in. Otherwise, please don't. For a lot of us who have made this decision, it has not been an easy one, and comments like yours just tend to complicate things. I like the fact that people are getting informed and learning from my mistakes.
I hope this is helpful. 8) :) :) :) :)

This is nymphie from the previous post, in the interest of coherent reading. heh

Yep, i couldn't agree more. This is true especially in the consultation room, where an obvious power disparity exists. The doctor should be assertive, confidant in offering his professional expertise but in the process you should not feel in the least uncomfortable or ill at ease with the way your surgeon is managing the consultation. Choose the best candidate, settle for no one less.

PS: The quip about the incoming calls was so true! haahha :) Maybe the fame went to his head, I am not sure

I am intending to do a nose job to make the mose narrower . Anyone who has done it please suggest doctor to me. I am lost and confused. I see that many doctors that some of you have said to be bad. I hate doctors with only business and money in their eyes. I have a personal problem and really hope it to be fixed.

Plastic surgery in Singapore

Dear Merr,
Have you informed him of your dissatisfaction, and if so, what was his reaction?

A further note of advice to all others, it is well worth paying the consultation charges and going from surgeon to surgeon instead of trying to save the money on that end (that was the mistake I made the 1st time around). The price for a botched up job is much worse - and I don't mean monetary! Getting informed is also extremely important.

it's an eyelid surgery. I don't want to say anything bad abt him here as he can sue me back. All i can say is realistic. I have been so depressed as i put so much hope. I really dunno who should i go to as i really need to do sth to my look. All the doctors seem a bit dishonest in some sense. Can you suggest any good doctors in Singapore in eyelid and nose surgery.

If anyone has a successful cosmetic surgery, pls share with me. I don't want to have a failed one again which is killing ppl for having a knife cut in your face.

Dear Merr,
I cannot see how a doctor can sue you if you are not revealing personal details of yourself. Even if the provided details may sound familiar to any of these doctors, what base will they have to sue? An assumption? You have any idea how embarassing it would be for a doctor to approach a past patient he/she thinks might be the one? I don't think so! This is a forum, which means you should feel free to express your opinion about events and outcomes that have affected you. I don't think that these doctors are looking into these forums, although I frankly wish they would. I know if I were one I would.
A lot of people are intimidated by doctors, especially the arrogant ones and will not express their concerns or dissatisfaction, although you have every right to. For goodness sake, you paid for that service, so why should you not be able to judge upon it? I have no qualms about expressing my opinion, because I wish that I had had a forum I could consult before I went for my first procedure. God knows I tried!
It's difficult enough finding sympathy from family and friends when it comes to plastic surgery. Half of them are scared and the other half is uninformed, trying to talk you out and give you advice on something they know nothing about. So you see, we all have a common interest here. And for those posting otherwise, I shall use my freedom of choice to just simply ignore you.
That being said, I am still very curious to know if you approached him with your complaint and what his reaction was.
As for the Australian entry, join the club. If you have been following these discussions, you will have noticed that with the exception of about two or three, I cannot get anything conclusive here. I can only tell you that based on my consultation with him, I cannot recommend Dr. Woffles due to his inabilitity to see beyond the dollars (which are many) and himself (who is God...)
To be fair, I cannot judge on his work (take a look at "nymphie's" comment from Sept. 7, maybe there you can get more of an insight). He probably is a brilliant surgeon, who knows... There are certain surgeons that have their specialty, most of them will not admit to it because they want you to believe that they are good and capable in all areas of this field, but it is true. Maybe one that does a great facelift sucks -pardon the pun- in liposuction. Although I don't expect a friendship to emerge from the doctor/patient relationship, experience has taught me that a certain amount of "sympathy" or liking is necessary.
I still am actively looking for alternatives in the neighboring countries (Thailand and Philippines) and would welcome testimonials from patients who have had their jobs done there, in particular (but not limited to) liposuction and breast augmentation. Prices here in Singapore are really high, and just in browsing, I am so amazed at how much cheaper the prices are in e.g. Bangkok and that's including everything (doctor's fee, anesthesiologist, hospital fees, implants, etc.).
If I am able to get more information through other sources, I shall post them here. In the meantime, good luck!

Uh, I have a need to clarify, since I noticed the names I have quoted have been changed (not from me) to Dr. A & B. Soooo, for the new ones, Dr. A is a certain individual at the Camden Medical Center and Dr. B is another person located at Paragon.

Has anyone been to Dr Fong at Thomson Medical Centre? He's a clinic there, formerly from Gleneagles. I've been with him abt 10 years. His prices are reasonable.

But is he good? Does he provide before and after shots of his work? Any testimonials available?
