Gist: Gortex is softer, easier to mould, feels like the real stuff, lasts forever with proper care. Expensive
Silicone is harder, used for years because its much cheaper readily available, may cause protrusion or upturned nose with them, many associated problems, made look very obvious if too big or placed incorrectly - unnatural.

ecoli,

Dr Chuang gave u only 1 cut of 1.5-2cm? I read in his website that his mini-incision will have 3 cuts (front, middle, end ), each of ard 0.2-0.3mm only.

I read in Taiwan forums that there's a few doctors who does mini-incision.
There's 1 doctor who's cut is only 0.5cm, very small indeed. other doctors will have cuts of ard 1cm. Dr Su also does mini-incision, just that she normally dun encourage unless ur eye condition is very suitable for it.

now the material has changed. the current silicone can be even softer than goretex thus iw wont extrude.. i see dr seah silicone. was impress gow soft and bendable it is.. press it and feel like norm nose.. so it got to depend on what type of silicone ur doc use..

as for goretex, goretex also has hard and soft goretex.. and nope there is not really big problem with removing it. not really diff as doc does use goretex for major surgery. dun wori too much.. some goretex is less porous and behaved like silicone.. example is like Kalo goretex(if it is really goretex) transparent material and soft like the new silicone implant

hmm the 3 mini cut is call mini incision , so is the same for 1 cut of 1.5cm to 2cm.. both is invented by korean so no diff. most impt is that 1 cut 1.5cm to 2 cm is able to draw more fats thus last longer while 3 mini incision draw less fats thus last shorter..

Lipo or jabs.

Post by fairy » Tue, 09 Jan 2007 1:05 am

i'm not quite sure of what i should go for. i have a lot of cellulites on my buttock and much fatter on my lower body.
i was thinking of Lipo by Martin Huang, but the price seems a bit too steep. (1.5k onwards) and it depends on which area and amount of fat that has to be removed.
anyone knows of anything better than lipo? i remember there are some jabs that cost from 200 or 500 onwards that helps lose weight, am i not wrong?
but i'm afraid that i'll start gaining weight soon after my surgery though i have plans of taking Duromine after my surgery to help boost my metabolic rate.

Hi, think there's some misperception about the 3 mini cut "mini incision" and the 1 cut "mini incision" that dr chuang does. For the 3 mini cut technique, what he does is really a stitching method, but the stitches are done under the skin, i.e he stitches the tissue under the skin together. it's supposed to last longer than the traditional stitching method which uses the stitches to hold the skin together which might strain the stitches more and cause the stitches to come undone. No fats or skin are removed. For the 1 cut technique, the double eyelid is created by removing fats through the incision. this is explained on his website. http://www.wishclinic.com.tw/service_a3-3.htm

Hope this helps.

well edain and i are back from taiwan so u can tell =)

we had pleasant experience at wishclinic..

for one, Dr Chuang is gentle and detailed.. he will try and give u what u want, however he has his opinions at the same time.. take it with a pinch of salt if u are opinionated cos otherwise u might be brainwashed by him.. he will not sell u many procedures at all.

In fact when i visited him, he told me not to do rhino, or botox my cheeks down, he also doesnt think i should do lipo to my face.

The only procedure he thinks i should get is the eyelid surgery which he did use the mini incision technique as explained in edain's reply.

Now that i am back, i really think i should have done the rhino but what's sorry is i am already home. Therefore, do keep yourself collected and know what u want despite what is suggested.

You are the one that knows what face u want and not what others think u look good at.
Even if others think natural is good then so be it, that's their opinion.. if u are so natural dun go for any PS then. Why change your own face isnt it?

That is my only feel about the whole trip, i recommend wishclinic for all procedures, Dr Chuang is really good.
plastic beauty.. so what about it.. u can be one too ~

Anyway people i am awfully broke but i will keep myself informed of all the rhino tips here so that when i get to it finally... i know what to expect =)

lost alot of weight too in the process of being in taiwan, which is totally good!!

tanjhj.. why are there ppl as young as 16 thinking of doing ps..

If you are 16, and really unhappy with yr face.. i think just go for it..
procedures like eyelid surgery and rhino only though.. dun do chin shaving etc yet..

Just rem that it takes time for the swelling to go and u have school to go for.. Think thru it carefully~~

i am pro ps.. i think i will bring my kids to get their eyelid surgery done when they are young like indonesian chinese parents.. most of the indonesian kids get it done so young and no one knows except relatives or friends which i do have a couple. The girls/guys look good now, everyone thinks they are born with it..
As for Rhino .. i dun think so but at 16 i think should be fine. Jamie Yeo had her rhino at 16, a present from their parents when she was studying in the states .. so why not? her sister has such a flat nose she should get one too.

kwell,

there is a Brazillian PS in Singapore. He has an office in East Coast. He has been mentioned on a newspaper months back.

Fairy,

I had lipo on tummy done by Dr Fong. I liked the results.

Yen,

How's your recovery? Do you like your new nose? Do you care to share the before and after pic?

thanks
