non-surgical double eyelid

Post by ecoli » Mon, 27 Nov 2006 11:38 pm

Hi ladies,
I am interested in doing non-surgical double eyelid... some people say is called the stitching technique. I checked from dr wu web, is about $3000. any recommendation of surgeons who can provide such surgery in lesser cost? about $1600?

I am also interested in fixing my teeth... When i smile, my smile have gummy effect which looks ugly and terrible. I am very upset about it? any idea who knows any good dentist to fix this problem?

I dun mind trying surgery in Thailand? I would like to get more information from you guys(the expert). Thanks
jess

i would like to ask you if botox can really reduce the size of the face from squarish to oblong...how much difference would it make? I don't have a square jaw but I think my cheeks gets puffed up real fat when i smile until my face looks like a pear shape...does botox counter this?

i'm currently also on antibiotics and external creams for my acne problem, will botox interfere with the face treatment?
yes and no. Botox is for fats. if ur face is squarish or perish due to muscle, yes but no if it is due to fats and bone. for the latter, u need to go for liposuction and bone shaving both is perm. plz ask your doc for more details..

Christmas PS change?

Post by devilsmaycry » Tue, 28 Nov 2006 6:10 am

Hey there pp.. i read up the forum from the last page (227) backwards all the way to page 200 and i am very very impressed with us ladies and men alike.

I thought i'm the only vain girl around, i stick eyelid sticker everyday religiously because my real eyelid is inner fold, it is obvious only in person but in photo i am basically crap.

But anyway Boy am i wrong but it has been worth it reading since 2am till 6am.. and i have made a decision to go to taiwan to do my PS for my eyes. (maybe nose and breast, depending on what the surgeon suggests)

Anyone interested in going during the period of 26 december 2006 to 3 january 2007? (I may seem impulsive but i have been thinking of PS since i'm 18!!)

I think Dr Su is good for eyes as suggested.
I have a concern, if you guys can help answer..

this Korea method of eyelid surgery, is it permanent like those cut and stitich method. Because i am not interested in the WW clipping method as i went for consultation with him earlier and he said it will last for max 4 years.

Clipping method = Stitching method
In any case, you bear the pain, you pay the cash, you looked awful for 1-2 weeks and you need to do it within the next 4 years? How sad is that?

Is the korean method like longer time frame, i think i can do with a 15 years before i go for the next eye job cos by then my eyelid would have sagged due to old age as well..

I am working as well but my office will be on holiday from dec 23 to jan 3.. so that gives me ample time for recovery huh..

i'm a 24 woman.. single and really into beauty n fashion.. checking up on air tix tmr in office.. oh i mean in a few hours time when i go off to work..

just use IDD via ur house phone. look for IDD instruction via starhub or singtel website..

U better call befor u go to confirm the consultation appt and Op at the same day or next day.

Hotels and air tix i can help, best is call and ask the dr su's clinic for suggestion on hotel nearby.. but most impt is ur comfirmation with DR Su.. i suggest u call her today.. Taiwan time. But not recommended so early as air tix very expensive. Jetstar cost 600 for two ways on 1 dec dept. Join free and easy tour also cost 500+ for twins. 800 for single.. Maybe u and devilmaycry go together? since both going to Dr Su, can ask for disc..

for sinnech, if u are going for Korean style than no need.. hardly any welling for Korean style. plus it is Perm... :D if u need sinnech no matter what, i suggest u use search for Jovin's thread. it will be faster

http://www.starhub.com/business/promoti ... index.html
Free IDD for Starhub users..

thank you so so much!

but can IDD be traced on the phone bills when it comes in? cos i don want my dad to find out. my mum knows but we;re not exactly going to let my dad know any time soon. he's super traditional. and i have his features, so that makes it doubly worse.

i've check up on taiwan timezone. but it's the same as singapore's timezone! then why when i check the fllight, it departs from sing at 01.15 and reaches at 01.45?
i dont believe that 30 mins ill reach taipei lorhs.

What is sinnech?

Is Dr Su's eyelid surgery the permanent type?

I do not want the suture one cos it only lasts max 4 years. Not worth it. If you read flowerpod, there's this poisonlady, she did it and now she has to do her eyelid again cos it is more or less fallen or not obvious.

Well i might go alone if there's no one or just get it down in singapore -sigh-

Anyway for jetstar, 26 Dec 1 pm depart, reach Taipei at 540pm.
Leave Taipei on 3 Jan 625pm..
Air ticket including taxes = $590
Accomodation still reviewing

I am not that urgent actually.. so if there are ppl that wants to rent an apartment in taiwan for a whole month maybe we should all go together? it will be much cheaper.

Found this website on pre-cosmetic surgery preparation:
http://www.advaestheticsurgery.com/ques ... hp?print=y

Copied some excerpts that will be of use to those~
5. Is there anything that I must buy in advance of the surgery?
Patients will be advised of any special prescriptions for pain killers, anitbiodics and special ointments prior to surgery. It is imperative that these be purchased prior to surgery. Other medications sometimes required are special eye-drops, gravol (anti-nausea medication), medicated shampoo, mouth wash and wound cleansers. Accessory medical supplies such as gauze, cotton wool, cotton swabs, bandages and surgical tape may also be required.

6. Is it better to keep the head elevated after surgery when I'm sleeping?
Sleep with your head elevated during the first two weeks- and alone to avoid being accidentally bumped by a sleeping partner.

7. I don't take any medications but I do have the occasional aspirin. Does the doctor really need to know about any over the counter drugs I take?
It is very important to know about any medications that you take. There are many over the counter medications that will increase bleeding tendencies and affect healing. Aspirin (ASA) and vitamin E are such examples. They should be avoided two weeks before and two weeks after surgery. Even a diet rich in Shitake mushrooms can affect bleeding. Smoking increases the chance of infection and delays healing. Smoking should be stopped for the period three weeks before and after surgery. Heavy alcohol consumption and illicit drug use can cause complications and one should not consider having surgery if this has not stopped.

9. I want to improve my image. How soon after surgery can I exercise and diet?
For the first two weeks after surgery, patients should not do bending or heavy lifting as it may cause increased swelling and bleeding. Patients should wait 3-6 weeks before doing aerobics, tennis, weight-lifting, contact sports, swimming or diving. A healthy diet is important for healing. For the first few weeks, do not decrease caloric intake too drastically.
