There is such a thing call "whitening injection" 美白針 in Taipei. In order to see results, you need a full course treatment of around 12 times. 12 times is around NTD$9000, which is about S$40 per time. There's actually 2 type, 1 is injection the other type is through drip. But i think you need to keep maintaining by the injection/drip, or else you will turn back to your original skin colour again.

I do not know if there's such a thing in Singapore, maybe can check around.

Hi jovin,
Do you know if this method can help in overall whitening? Is there a method of surgery/treatment that can help me to turn fairer? Thanks!
yes either skin grafting or avoid sunlight totally and take lots of pure almond powder drink (not 3 in 1). You can buy almond powder drink at chinese medical shop or those shops in front of middle rd Guan Yin temple. Drink them 2-3 times per day before meals.

well, diff doc got diff preference of material. and diff doc will tell only the good things of the things they used.

unless u are telling me that the others doctor are wrong than i got nothing to say. Dr hsu is rite in his view but so is the other docs. they have diff reason for the material they use thus u should trust u doctor of ur choice and the adv and disadv of the material used is ok with u.
once u choose the material, u got to bear the consequences of ur choice, be it good or bad.

From what i know, Dr Hsu, Jiang and many other "older" docs belong to the traditional style of surgery trained according to the textbook compiled by westerners. While Dr Jung and other younger docs in taiwan belong to the new school. both got good and bad points of their styles. you got to weight the two and decide which school u wanna go for.

define safer and longer lasting which dr hsu said abt silicone. Silicone has the advantage as the incumbent material choice for most PS becoz it is widly used in the past. but ppl improved and so doe sthe material.
Safer? silicone is wildy know to have the highest percentage of extrusion. while goretx has reported ZERO rejection by the body since 25 yrs ago.
Longer lasting? As posted by dr jung link earlier, Silicone is scientifically proven to calcify after 10-20 yrs resulting in it become harden and twisted, thus u see those :aunties" with warp nose.. while goretex has been known to be still in patients body after 10-20 yrs..

The most lesson that Forumers should take note and accept is that "There is NO material that has been proven to last w/o wear and tear or degrade yet. Thus Revision may be needed after 10-20 yrs. Wear and tear and changes in state of the mateial is part and parcel of life."

For me, i trust a nose specialist more, furthermore, he is the father of korean style rhinoplastry. To back it up, if u read those links i posted earlier, got 1 article metion the extrusion chances of silicone is much higher than goretex.
since korean style is my choice, i will bear with the consequences of my choice, be it for good or for bad. i wont blame the doc unless it is due to his technical err.

however silicone does has its advantages over it disadv thus it is the most wildly used implants in the past.

anyway, there will not be goretx implant available soon as the co. has stopped production at this yr end.

For me, i have make my stand after much readinga and reviews, which is:
1)No SG doc for me. (yet)
2)No traditional style PS surgery for me. asian go for asian style technique
3)No fixed features or shape for my PS. i will let the doc decide the best natural looking yet prominent features for me. dun lose my identity till my soul cant even regconize my face.
4)No fixed material or implant i will used. diff implants suit diff needs. if Dr Jung say L silicone implant is better for me, i will do it caused he must have a reason to suggest L silicone implant for me. "Use a talent, do not doubt him, if you doubt him, dun use the talent"
Sorry.. i lazy to read.. but i saw the debate between gortex and silicone. I got not much to contribute, I myself using silicone not too long too.. But! my mother in law been having the silicone incision in her nose for more then 30 years!!! yes.. u hear me rite.. 30 years.. still in perfect condition.. and imagine 30 years ago technology compare to now.. i guess they have improve alot for the silicone material they used now. ofcos i nvr say there's no risk, but who can guarantee there's no risk for gortex in furture?!
PS come with risk, just depend how u see and handle it if things goes wrong. Best is start saving now after ur PS, in case anything goes wrong, got money to fix it... I already start saving after my rhino.. just in case.. *finger cross*
good the hear the good news from ocean11

dun wori lah Dr sukit record is 10 case for every 1000 Rhino. i guess the 1% due to infection and body rejection of silicone. his 1% is areadi very lower compared to other PS. For your case, your surgery done so long araedi and somemore using only I implant, shouldnt be a problem at all.
should last u at least 100 yrs. 8-)

I try to touch touch my implant, didn't really move leh. Maybe because i touch really lightly.... but wah lao i'm not going to push my implant from the left to the right then back to the centre! Damn disgusting!

{hi ladies

Any good nose job surgeon for recommendation? As I've went for a nose implant in 2004 and nasal reduction in 2005 done locally. However, someone knocked onto my nose in late 2005 and caused my implant shifted. Hence, I need to re-do my nose But, the surgery was a failure, which resulted a scar on my nose tip - detented. As a result, now I need to do a scar-revision. But, I would like to ask for any good recommendation as this will be my 5th surgery if I would to go for a scar revision and nose implant. Hence, pls help (a reasonable price and good surgeon - I m looking for, as I have spent a total of $20k for nothing) }

This is sooo...scary...i cant imagine having to return to sch, n get my nose pinched n knocked by my frens....omg, if my research has been accurate, after 1-3months... ur nose wont shift ard alr..

during the 1st month upon nose job, yes will shift a bit, so u nd to use finger pressure to shift it back to the original position.

Am i right?

Is my research distorted? urgg....damn

half rite half wrong bah.

rite, yes the 1st 3 months or so, he nose still can shift abit, thus those who sleep at their sides betta watchout. however the movement of implants can be due to the doc placement and also ur nose's own structure..

like my friend, his implant can still move a little bit even after 1 yr plus..sick..

however since i have no exp nor know anyone who does goretex, thus i cant confirm that it wont move after 3 months. however, from what i assume, since the cells can grow abit around the goretex, thus the holding grip should be betta than silicone which doesnt have this benefit. even textured silicone implant doesnt do much help.[/quote]
Hmmm... what should I do next? Cheekbone reduction maybe?

Hope you bought travel insurance! btw, no need to go all the way to JB for the botox. Go Nu.Reflection can already. The doctor charged me $625 for botox on my jawline. You want botox or meso-botox? It's 2 different thing.

i've completed my rhinoplasty and alar reduction with Dr Somsak in BKK and i'm back in SG.

I was there for 8 days and had a good experience of my lifetime. basically...it was how hannah lee described in her post and I remember that in my case...i was not under GA so i was awake during the op and becuase i also did double eyelids at the same time....my op probably took abt 5hrs in total.

man i was aching cuz i had to lie still more than the pain from the op. yes i could feel the pain when he first injetced the LA but after that...the experience of hearing all that goes on but not the pain is amazing.

anyway...my receovery was ok and I was walking around the streets and all by the 2nd and 3rd day..but i REALLY looked like the elephant woman walking on the streets so all the THais were staring at me like I was crazy.

but now...2 weeks later...i like the results of my nose...finally i got something to put my sunnies to rest on...it used to slide off my face all the time previously.....

and my eyelids are still slightly swollen and there is a ball of thing under my left hand side....under the skin...so i am hoping maybe its just some water or something and not anything serious that I need to cut open and remove again...but overall....i am happy with my new loook now...

i still look the same...just maybe a little more defined on my nose and my eyes difficult to tell cuz still swollen and wen i went back to office on 10th day.....i had some colleagues that asked me what happened to my eyes...and i just say i had eye infection.

JOVIN:

thanks for your contact for Rachel.....i dunno if Sinecch helped but becuz my luggage was missing at BKK airport wen i arrived.....YES.....the drama was that my luggage was left in Singapore when i arrived in BKK so I did not have any ameneties for the first 2 days i was in BKK

definitely on eof the worst thing that can happen to a person wen they need operation happane to me....

so i missed out the mdeication for 1st 2 days and only started Sinecch on 3rd day onwards...so duno lor.

but anyway.....yes thank you for your help on Rachel again!!!

ALso...can i trouble u to tell me the address of the MEso-Botox clinic u go in JB??? and how u normally get there???

i think i will make a short trip there to get some meso botox done after i saw how much difference it made to u...and by the way....u are so PRETTY!!!! ENvy!!!!

thanks to let me know!! :D

Why is it crazy to do surgeries to enhance your current features? That means most of the japanese and korean actresses and models are all crazy :) Girl, if you decide that you really need to nose job, go for it. But if you think it doesn't really bothers you, then save up your money. Changing your style makes tremendous changes to the way you look too. Go Nu.Reflections for your botox, $625. No need to make extra effort to go JB to do it. If you want to see a diff during X'mas, you have to do it now. It takes 1-2 months to see a big difference.

/Jovin

I had posted a few before and after photos. See page number 200+. Sorry i can't remember which page, around 213 i think?

I know, i have the habit of grinding my teeth hence previously my jawline is super strong and super square too. I look like spongebob squarepants.

My email : dududog05@yahoo.com.sg

I went for consultant before, the doctor recommeded that we derease the frequency of chewing lo..like chewing bubble gums & eating sotong to prevent our jaws working too much,so muscle will grow back tt "much".
My face shape is super square ar.. My frens call me Square.. so sad! n it make me look so "manly". Hopefully can get this botox done for my christmas gift. then i can name as the not so square le ba.

Even this 美白針 that is available in Taiwan, don't expect too much. You know the Taiwanese and the Japanese, they almost go siao trying to be fair. The best way till now, is still to apply sunblock and stay away from the sun as much as possible. Avoid it like the plaque!

Botox VS Meso-Boto x

Post by crozogirl » Tue, 21 Nov 2006 12:16 pm

JOvin,

What is the diff? I thought they are similar in function le.

Er....for me...I think I have chubby cheeks still and my face is more roundish apple shape than Square....so i not sure which one better.

U did ur last Botox at Nu-reflections..Hmm...did u ask how many units they use on u? Maybe a little hard for u to describve but u think this Nu-Reflections doctor better at targeting your problem or the KL doc?

SOrry so many Qns. Heee

http://www.yanhee.net/eng/srv/srv_val_dnt.asp (pricelist)

but if u wana bind teeth aka bracers, i suggest u do it in JB or SG as the price ard the same, there is monthly maint needed for the 1st few months, thus it will be cheaper in sg or jb.. u wanna laser whitening can try there. it is cheaper in thai than in sg. however, i personally dun find yanhee cheap for that dental. there is a dental clinic at MBK that chare lower than Yanhee. Also there is some dentist around BKK that is even cheaper. the lowest i saw last yr is around 300+ for laser whitening..
