But, the guideline is, basic reduction of swell (not obvious to other people) is about 2 weeks, total reduction of swell (not obvious to yourself or even the surgeon himself) is about 3 months. Weather really helps in the recovery. I did my nose last year october, which is quite cooling in Taiwan. The next day after my op, i actually can put on abit of concealer and went out shopping! Nobody stare at me like i'm a freak or what. I don't need to stay at home to avoid people's stare. I'm surprised how well i recovered.

3 to 9 months as stated by most medical website and forums. some take only a week or two! hanfong got 1 lady with live video claims her swelling is off after 2 weeks or so.. (of coz may be fake)

hey danny, are u going for botox 1st to try size the your defined jaw?

for me i dun notice any swelling of my nose now but my surgeon still can notice... my bridge n tip area is said to haf some mild brusing by my surgeon... so i need to wait for 3 mths min to see final shape of my nose? some say 6 mths some 9 mths to see the final shape so its kind of confusing

is it ok i wear my specs now? will the specs add weight n pressure on the nose bridge?

Well surgery is always a big deal with risks involved, but as long as you picked a good surgeon I wouldn't worry so much if I were you. Its a calculated risk but have faith in your decision. Nobody can tell you that you'll definitely be happier after the surgery, its such a personal thing. Some people regret it and others love it. But for me, I have no regrets. I'm really glad I did it, its been 5 mths now and I'm so used to it that sometimes I have to think really hard about what my old nose looked like.

So don't worry so much! If its something you've always wanted then go for it.

haha hi5 i alr forgot my old nose til i browse thru my laptop n saw my old nose which look so ugly lolz.... i nw like my new nose... its enhancing my looks nw.... btw i did L shaped implant aloha....

hannah u did L or I shaped?

I choose her becuase she is using advance method Of surgery on eye and of course of her name is well know in taiwan so i choose her. guess it would be safe to go underknife under her hand :D

For nose Currently i still searching What kinda Product is good for life time use and I OR L shape is suit for asia face .

tanji May i ask what is the side Effect of L? If there is side effect , why so many people choose L implant , some asia had L shape implant and they look good in it . I Guess L shape suit some asia face u see Or maybe improvent the better View of look from their face don't u agree ?

And For silicon , I asked Dr KK from a free Consultation from his clince , he said Silicon is a hundered years product and it will last life time in humen face becuase it is hard to damage.

But i prefer Ear Bone , becuase ear born will Boost the Shape View of L shape Image More then I . For hanfong they are using L shape implant Using Ear bone , Silicon + ear bone is what they use by them .

anyway Tanji Can i asku whether

EAr Bone , Gortex , Slicon

Which product is good ?

Silicon question

I'm so confused abut silicon for rhinoplasty. Dr Jung and some other surgeons prefer gortex because they say silicon gives alota complications.

However in singapore, all the plastic surgeons say silicon is SAFE !

What do u gals and guys think ??

I had silicon for my primary rhino. M wondering if I shd get a redo and change it to gortex (with cartilage for tip) ...

Shd I just have a redo or shd I wait and see ??

headache ah :(

dr seah oso told me silicon is safer long lasting n better thna gortex... infact all local doc use silicon.... gortex i tink only korean doc used... u did ur nose with wich doc.... wad material n shaped of implant u did?

AnywAY SHE LOOKS GOOD! only thing that make her imperfect is her perfect ang moh nose.. 8-)
I know Dawn, n though we r not tht close frenz I do know her family's not rich enough to spend a ridiculous 30k+. Her dad has been retrenched long time n they depend on her mum. She seems humble n thrifty. A mutual fren told me tht when Dawn did her nose with her 2 galfrenz she used her own savings money, not her parent's money.

Shipped off to USA becos of fear? she actually got a scholarship thatz why she left SMU.

And yes, she did post her sec sch n jc day pix in her blog a while ago. still looked gd imo.

I think its wrong for u to make up your own exaggerated stories to spread here. Get ur facts straight first pls. this is how rumors start n grow out of proportion to hurt people. Dawn is a nice gal who dun deserve tiz kind of thing.

Nonetheless, thanx for all your helpful advice so far about cosmetic surgery.

peace

I don't think Dawn is hated because she looks good.

She's hated cos she DENYS she had plastic surgery.

She definitely had ops done to her face but her outburst about rumours attacking her makes her look like a liar. She stoke the fire, thats why the fire got bigger !

Anyway, I love her eyes, think she did it twice.

Her nose is definately an L shape implant !

how u know dawn nose is L shaped? n nt some korean style nose? mine oso L shaped implant but look so diff from hers

just one more question....is my surgeon supposed to have discussed everything abt the surgery including I or L implants during my last consultation?? because he didnt! and thurs is my op so is it normal practice for them to only discuss those issue just before the op itself??

and did you guys have a very long and/or more than one consultation with the surgeon before heading for the op? Cos mine was just once and we only discussed for like 10mins?

dr seah discussed with me abt wad shape implant to do in my 1st consultation le.... n he talk to me abt the surgery for nearly 1hr n from then i am very convinced n confident with him

jovinliu wrote:Hi all,

First of all, my apologise. All along I thought my implant is a goretex, until someone PM me and told me that he/she contacted Dr Hsu (my surgeon) and he said he has always been using silicon for nose implant. Hence, i will like to announce (ahem!) that my nose implant is a silicon.

In 1 of the website, i read that silicon implant makes up 90% of the rhinoplasty that was done in Taiwan. Goretex is of course of a lower risk for infection, around 2%, but it still carries some risk. So, you may wonder if cartilage is a better choice? In terms of infection, yes of course the risk is lower, but you can't guarantee no infection to the site where your own tissue is extracted.

I had seen the korean site where it posted the side effects of silicon, and to be honest, it freaks me out. But come to think of it, each and every different material used have it's own side effect, none of them actually guarantee 0% infection. If ALL rhinoplasty that uses silicon results in that kind of infection, it will definitely be banned by now. It's always your own responsibility to take care of yourself after the implant. If you have flu, please inform your doctor to give you antibiotics as it may infect your implant.

For people who had done a L shape silicon implant, the first disadvantage is that they (including me) cannot do piggy nose. It's not possible.

I will be nice, once and for all and stop people from asking the same question again and again, post my before and after pics. I had done my eyes, nose and jawline, hence i will cover up my mouth, at least for some coverage in case you guys recognised me on the street and start pointing and shouting out at me "Jovin Jovin! Eh that's the one who did her eyes, nose and botox everywhere!"

http://sg.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/liewml ... d5&.src=ph

photo1.jpg :- before i did anything. This was taken last year around July. Take note of my very prominent squarish jaw, hidden and heavy double eyelid, and my si beh flat nose. Mind you, i have NO NOSE BRIDGE AT ALL previously.
photo2.jpg :- side profile after i did my nose. By the way, eyelash extension done in Taipei as well
photo3.jpg :- I hope you can see the side view of my nose. Might not be very clear. Done eyes.
photo4.jpg :- This is how i look now. For those who is considering botox on jawline, see the remarkable difference in my jawline between photo1.jpg and photo4.jpg. So far i had jabbed botox into my jaw muscles 3 times already.

Again, for people who keep asking others whether or not they should do in Taiwan/Singapore/Thailand, or should they do their eyes/nose/chin/breast/etc, please make the decision yourself. If you feel you need to change a particular feature on your face, it must be because you are not happy with it. So, do you still need others to convince you that you have to do it?! If it's not that bad and you can live with it, then leave it alone.

/Jovin

jovin u look very pretty nw... u did eye nose n botox on jaw but u look so diff nw.... after seeing ur result on botox i am very convinced to do botox le.... btw curious u did how many times botox to achieve such a results? i wan to make my jawline less obvious n long lasting...

i am confused over 1 thing. L shaped implant is suppose to make the tip pointed up or down? cos dr seah say if the nose is done too high with L shaped implant the tip will be pointed up like a piggy nose but jovin said that L shaped implant is supposed to make the tip downward such tat the nostrils won't be obvious... kind of confused here?? anyone care to explain?

Jovin - advice on Taipei

Post by malboroqueen » Tue, 14 Nov 2006 10:32 pm

Jovin ar,

I want to do breast implant in Taipei. Do they use saline or the silicone one? Which doctor you recommend?

Eyelash implant Taipei or Singapore better? Where the shop?

How much for both?

depends on the length of ur nose. that is the disadvantage of a L implant.

for all plastic surgery, taiwan is way better.. except for lasik where sg is more advanced.

for breast implant, can go to dr hsu (jovin's doc) and hanfong, they have painless breast implant surgery using saline.

i personally thing saline is better as u dun need to worry abt leakage of silicone into the body. saline is harmless to the body and readily absorbed if there is leakage.

currently dr hsu got promo of twd 80k for saline implant and hanfong charges ard 100k. still much cheaper than sg..

Jovin, i start to feel bad like u, to make ppl go spend sg $ at their country instead of our own. :?
