So far i have 3 friends who did their lasik in Optimax, all happy with the result. 20/20 eyesight.

Singapore government must be hating me because i always suggest ppl going overseas for procedures, hee hee.

no exp is not a good excuse my friend, u did ur PS alone two years ago.. let me ask u? which is harder? to go for PS alone or go for tour? Buck up ur courage and go, so many gals w/o prior PS exp did it alone. they just armed themsleves with cash and determination to become swan..

come on make up ur mind, be a swan or duck? Dun need to worry too much, once u take the 1st step.. the other steps will be easier and easier.
u can make it easier by asking the clinic make all the arrangement for u befire going like hotels and pickup from airport. like that every transport is settled by cab. If u scared being alone with the wounds, not need to worry lah, all of the video in hanfong shows the gals all walk out virtually like normal.

that is open incision not close incision surgery, open incision is easier to crave out a beautiful nose as commented by the doc.

as for ur defined jaw problem..

jovinliu wrote:Ah huh, I did my nose and eyelid in taiwan, so i guess i'm the right person to provide you this information. I did both surgeries with Dr Hsu who is quite a well-known doc in Taipei because he appears on TV programmes quite often. Eyes is $900 (but now he increase the price to NTD$28000 which is S$1400), rhinoplasty is S$14000 (NTD$28000). Ice-pack and consultation all free.

Dr Hsu is a very nice doctor, always with a smiling face and i must say his skills is good because nobody can tell i underwent some surgeries before. It's THAT natural. Dr Jiang Xiao Shan is another good PS, but he is always very busy and he is quite reluctant to perform surgeries which he thinks is unnecessary, even if you insist.

Accomodation-wise, hotel are quite expensive. Depends on where u stay of course, but average is about S$200 per night. Airfare-wise, on and off SQ will have GV2 promotion and it is about $400+ excluding taxes. If i factor in airfare and accomodation, it will be more than Dr Seah's charges. But honestly, i will rather fly to Taiwan to do my surgeries. Except for facelift (which i might need when i am 40+) whereby i will consider the Woffles Lift, i will definitely do any kind of PS in Taiwan.

gartheven2000 wrote:hi tanjhj thanks for the compilation and list! This kinda systematic comparison is long overdue.... :)

No1. would be Taiwan,
2. thailand
3. korea ?& Penang
4. singapore (too many blotched cases)

for nose job,
No1. would be Taiwan
2. thailand
3. singapore & Penang
4. korea (abit too exp)

However i'll be extremely cautious about this list because there're too many variables to consider. One of the most important is a) level of surgery diffculty. Another is b) ease of consultation and communication.

Most Thailand doctors i read on this forum only selectively do the easier operations. Korea i've checked...and yes, there are instances of dissatisfaction and the prices are extremely high.

Btw rhinoplasty is quite complicated actually so for these reasons i feel (it is just my worthless 2 cents) anyone doing rhino and eye, and wif a fair amt of $, should go either Taiwan or find a good doc in SG.

Tanhj...mind giving a cost comparison between Taiwan and SG? I'll cite the cost for rhinoplasty and eyelid wif Dr Seah in SG. His is about
eyelid+rhino(simple goretx implant)= 1500+2000=$3500.

What abt Taiwan for eyelid+rhino combined wif good doctor? (gotta add hotel and travel lah...)

hi jovin care to share wif me dr hsu contacts cos i interested to do jaw surgery with him and oso see what's need to be done to improve my looks further... thanks

til nw i can't find a gd doc in sg who can do jaw surgery nicely. dr seah is nt experienced in this area so i haf to find another doc.

i wan to make my defined n strong jaws lesser defined n hence make my face smaller and oval or heart shape

Hi there, I'm not sure if your friend is referring to Dr. Tan Kok Chai. If yes, then I'll agree he is pretty good. He's the associate professor - the most senior of all the plastic surgeons at sgh. He did my mole removal and was very good and professional. I went to consult him for a nose implant recently, I won't say he has an attitude problem just that perhaps he has to answer so many queries on PS (some of the questions are pretty silly I must say cos i ask silly questions myself too!) so he tends to be a bit quick when replying you or jumping at your questions and he would check his mobile when talking to you but he is actually listening to you. He gives me a sense of assurance and reliability which i think is important, u must be able to establish some kind of rapport with your plastic surgeon. You can request for a consultation with him if you are contemplating PS at sgh.

....... wrote:You guys surely do not know how inferior it feels to have small bossoms. Especially when people make fun of you.

Any way I intended to go for implant as well, but i heard stories hereby the implant is not inserted properly-one up one down. Which sound quite scary for me.

My friend who did a nose job recommended me to Dr Tan in SGH. But i heard he has got attitude problem. Consultation cost $70.

nose implants @ sgh

Post by aloha » Wed, 08 Nov 2006 9:22 am

hi i need help from you guys here for my urgent dilemma..

i've made an appointment to have a nose implant at sgh next thurs. the surgeon did my mole removal before and he is very good and he gives me a sense of assurance so i decided to go back to him. the cost is ard S$2.5

then i realise dr. woffles wu does this injection implant thingy which is temp and lasts ard 7-10 mths and allows u to assess if u r really keen on getting a perm nose job done.

from what i know, a permanent nose implant overtime will be enveloped by the body's natural cartilage which will make the nose a few millimetres bigger and sometimes the implant will "slide" slightly sidewards as the yrs go by or if you accidentally shove it with your hands!!! but for injection implants, some commented that the effect disappears after a few mths!!!

so how?? should i opt for an injection implant first or just go ahead with the operation at sgh? should i go sgh or to woffles wu? pls help..

If you are thinking of facelist, there's 2 options: Thermage or Woffles Lift. At least that's what i recommend. If your's is not a serious case, try Thermage. Woffles Lift is less "invasive" as compared to the traditional facelift, fewer stitches less downtime. And, of course, our notorious Woffles Wu invented this method hence he proudly name it WOFFLES LIFT. There are other surgeons who has been trained to perform Woffles Lift, but it might be better to do it with Woffles himself. About S$8k.
