Hi bro, just called hanfong using skpe. CoCo was the one who answered my call and she was nice and sweet plus helpful. this is what i call cust service. SG standard really cant make it for those free enquiry calls

from what i found out, after u rch taipei airport, u can take public transport to taipei main station. from there, u can take bus or cab to Hanfong. very nearby to the station.

for foreigner, before u go taiwan, 1 to 2 weeks in adv, u need to send ur pics to them via email and arrange for a time and date for ur appt. the earliest u can have surgery is the next morning. Do let her know of ur schedule than she can arrange for u.

Charges for hanfong,
double eyelid, only standard cutting technique, is twd 25000

rhino implant, silicone only, is twd45,000 (inclusive of cartilage grafting from ear) , no ear grafting will be twd30,000.

charges is nett inclusive of consultation and follow up, 4 days to 1 week later, and there is no hidden cost and other charges.

at 830 pm sg time on CNA got Korea craze. a docu abt PS.

yupz saw it and in the docu, it started off with monks making kimchi than followed by PS in korea.

1st is eyelash transplant from the hair at the back of our head. Plus hair removal using laser and Removal of panda eye rings using laser.

2nd is the Korean Style Mini incision techniques for double eyelids. the doc made 3 mini cuts at the eyelids and sew it up. straight away can see that there will not be scaring problems like in traditional case. also the results is stunning and natural. best is that i can see that the healing will be much faster than taditional cutting methods. This techniques is so easy and less scary, it will be the HOT and popular. It helps me confirm my decision that i will rather pay more and go for this technique over others (if i am suitable for it.)

3rd is reconstruction surgery. saw a few cases of rhino which is not done well and quite artificial looking. realised that nostril too small is a problem for those that wanna high bridge and yet look natural. also the surgeon reconstruction surgeon advises is that PS should be done to bring the best out of what you have rather than what u want. eg. there is one case which a lady wanna have high bridge but due to the small nostril she have, the result is artificial and the nose looks tight thus she needs to redo the nose again. Natural looking is still the key. Dun expect to be turned into cinderella just becoz one goes for PS.

4th is the phychological issue of PS. it is addictive due to man's endless desire. thus inner bauty reconstruction is also impt.

Ah huh, I did my nose and eyelid in taiwan, so i guess i'm the right person to provide you this information. I did both surgeries with Dr Hsu who is quite a well-known doc in Taipei because he appears on TV programmes quite often. Eyes is $900 (but now he increase the price to NTD$28000 which is S$1400), rhinoplasty is S$14000 (NTD$28000). Ice-pack and consultation all free.

Dr Hsu is a very nice doctor, always with a smiling face and i must say his skills is good because nobody can tell i underwent some surgeries before. It's THAT natural. Dr Jiang Xiao Shan is another good PS, but he is always very busy and he is quite reluctant to perform surgeries which he thinks is unnecessary, even if you insist.

Accomodation-wise, hotel are quite expensive. Depends on where u stay of course, but average is about S$200 per night. Airfare-wise, on and off SQ will have GV2 promotion and it is about $400+ excluding taxes. If i factor in airfare and accomodation, it will be more than Dr Seah's charges. But honestly, i will rather fly to Taiwan to do my surgeries. Except for facelift (which i might need when i am 40+) whereby i will consider the Woffles Lift, i will definitely do any kind of PS in Taiwan.

No1. would be Taiwan,
2. thailand
3. korea ?& Penang
4. singapore (too many blotched cases)

for nose job,
No1. would be Taiwan

However i'll be extremely cautious about this list because there're too many variables to consider. One of the most important is a) level of surgery diffculty. Another is b) ease of consultation and communication.

Most Thailand doctors i read on this forum only selectively do the easier operations. Korea i've checked...and yes, there are instances of dissatisfaction and the prices are extremely high.

Btw rhinoplasty is quite complicated actually so for these reasons i feel (it is just my worthless 2 cents) anyone doing rhino and eye, and wif a fair amt of $, should go either Taiwan or find a good doc in SG.

Tanhj...mind giving a cost comparison between Taiwan and SG? I'll cite the cost for rhinoplasty and eyelid wif Dr Seah in SG. His is about
eyelid+rhino(simple goretx implant)= 1500+2000=$3500.

What abt Taiwan for eyelid+rhino combined wif good doctor? (gotta add hotel and travel lah...)

Yups i saw Jovin After OPs Side Pic and dare to say her job was very well done. very natural looking even thou her nose is pretty high... Also her eyelid is womanly... U will never know that she has done PS, i must say that her doc- dr hsu has high skills. most imptly i believe she trusted her doctor and didnt ask or insist for features that doesnt suit her face.

For her doc, he charges sgd1400+1400 for eyelid and rhino. However dunnoe if he charges extra for goretex?

Dr Hsu also have saline breast implant (MENTOR brand)current promo at twd80000 (SGD3800). a steal of 20% discount..

well one for its own. one man meat may be anothers poison.

below is the reason of my choice:

i dun like sg is becoz there is not much highly skilled doctor around. maybe martin huang. dun see much good job done by local doc except lots of complaints. for taiwan, they have the volume of PS jobs and latest skills from korea. thus i have more faith in putting my face under their knife than local doc who dun really upgrade their skills as often nor do they have the volume of customers as taiwan to build their experience.

for me, experience and skills of the doc is the most impt in surgery and i dun see them in sg doctors. most of the sg doctors are easily satisfied with the old but easy to do techniques and not upgrade themselves thus u dun see them even bothering to learn the korean style incision technique which is more complex but leaves very little scars.

the korean are always learning and coming up with new techniques thus they have their own Korean style Nose, Eyelid, Chin, Cheek and other Surgery which they either invented or refined. I applaud Taiwan doctors for bothering to learn and copied the koreans techniques, maybe due to the high competition there, unlike sg doc which dun have much competition as of now.

If i want conservative doc, i would have gone for highly skilled Dr Sukit who is very conservative but does huge volume of surgery everyday (around 5 -10 ps per day).
In surgery, skill is build on quantity of surgery done not any titles the doc hold or the price he charge and i believed Sukit does more PS jobs than any sg doc (1-3 ps per day) plus he is much cheaper.

reconstructive surgery for double eyelid isit? to tell u the truth, double eyelid surgery is irreversible and hard to repair. i suggest u go for reconstructive surgeon rather than normal PS, else they may make it worst..

i remember ur case is that u have done ur eyelid long ago at sg by the famous Dr Woo, but the skills of the local doc cmi, even the famous ones, and resulted in a thick/deep and unnatural looking double eyelid for u.. have u seen a PS for revision and what does the doc say?

well, this is the reason why i dun go to local doc for double eyelid surgery. Singapore eyelid surgery techniques is outdated and they lack the volume of customers to practise and improve this delicate surgery, resulting in substandard job. even those so called "successful" one who posted their pics on the net still look "unnatural" to me as compared to those u see on TAiwan or Korea website/forums.

for ur case,u would recommend u go to Dr Su, taiwan's eyelid specialist. i believe she only does surgery on the eye and i believe she is the best coz she ONLY do eye. http://www.dr-su.com/index0.asp

Where r u planning to go for lasik? I did mine in JB at Optimax. They do nothing but lasik. Around S$2300. Don't think it's that kind of clinic where rats are running around and there's litter all around on the floor; you will be surprised how professional they are.

So far i have 3 friends who did their lasik in Optimax, all happy with the result. 20/20 eyesight.

Singapore government must be hating me because i always suggest ppl going overseas for procedures, hee hee.
