Guys,

After much intensive reviews and feebacks and research for the past few weeks from all over the asian regions. i finally come to a conclusion based on current 1)skills & techniques 2)experience & no of jobs done 3)price 4)positive feedbacks & reults. i conclude that

for eyelid surgery,

No1. would be Taiwan,
2. thailand
3. korea ?& Penang
4. singapore (too many blotched cases)

for nose job,
No1. would be Taiwan
2. thailand
3. singapore & Penang
4. korea (abit too exp)

for nose job, i put korea at the back due to its heavy cost and also i realised that nose jobs has the least negative feedback and it is reversible. also many cant detect the nose is fake if unless the bridge is too high or too sharp.

the reason i put taiwan at the 1st is that the skills level and techniques of the surgens there is on par with koreans or slightly below korea but their price is even lower than singapore! (plus the air tix and accomodation) also if u read taiwan forums, there is very few negative feedback and many commented of their relatively fast recovery. u should see the results of the taiwan PS. very natural and beautiful..

Thailand is 2nd becoz of their price and also their experience with high daily volume of PS done.

Singapore is the worst with low level of skills and experience, high number of negative feedback and hefty price. also bad service and money mindedness for some of the doctors..

even Penang is higher for its low price and relatively good comments so far.

feel free to comment.

hi tanjhj thanks for the compilation and list! This kinda systematic comparison is long overdue.... :)

No1. would be Taiwan,
2. thailand
3. korea ?& Penang
4. singapore (too many blotched cases)

for nose job,
No1. would be Taiwan
2. thailand
3. singapore & Penang
4. korea (abit too exp)

However i'll be extremely cautious about this list because there're too many variables to consider. One of the most important is a) level of surgery diffculty. Another is b) ease of consultation and communication.

Most Thailand doctors i read on this forum only selectively do the easier operations. Korea i've checked...and yes, there are instances of dissatisfaction and the prices are extremely high.

Btw rhinoplasty is quite complicated actually so for these reasons i feel (it is just my worthless 2 cents) anyone doing rhino and eye, and wif a fair amt of $, should go either Taiwan or find a good doc in SG.

Tanhj...mind giving a cost comparison between Taiwan and SG? I'll cite the cost for rhinoplasty and eyelid wif Dr Seah in SG. His is about
eyelid+rhino(simple goretx implant)= 1500+2000=$3500.

What abt Taiwan for eyelid+rhino combined wif good doctor? (gotta add hotel and travel lah...)

Ah huh, I did my nose and eyelid in taiwan, so i guess i'm the right person to provide you this information. I did both surgeries with Dr Hsu who is quite a well-known doc in Taipei because he appears on TV programmes quite often. Eyes is $900 (but now he increase the price to NTD$28000 which is S$1400), rhinoplasty is S$14000 (NTD$28000). Ice-pack and consultation all free.

Dr Hsu is a very nice doctor, always with a smiling face and i must say his skills is good because nobody can tell i underwent some surgeries before. It's THAT natural. Dr Jiang Xiao Shan is another good PS, but he is always very busy and he is quite reluctant to perform surgeries which he thinks is unnecessary, even if you insist.

Accomodation-wise, hotel are quite expensive. Depends on where u stay of course, but average is about S$200 per night. Airfare-wise, on and off SQ will have GV2 promotion and it is about $400+ excluding taxes. If i factor in airfare and accomodation, it will be more than Dr Seah's charges. But honestly, i will rather fly to Taiwan to do my surgeries. Except for facelift (which i might need when i am 40+) whereby i will consider the Woffles Lift, i will definitely do any kind of PS in Taiwan.

Hi avid followers of this thread,

I highly recommend a PS magazine call "Cosmetic Surgery and beauty" which you can purchase from Cold Storage (and maybe other big newspaper stand). So far they are at issue 3, and this issue touches on a interesting procedure:- eyelash implant. I believe this magazine is edited in Malaysia and translated into English for the Singapore market, hence if you buy the same magazine in Malaysia it will be in chinese and English if bought in Singapore. So far i have issue 1 and 3, I'm trying to get hold of issue 2. Anybody have it?

in taiwan, the eyelid and rhino job cost btween 20000twd to 30000twd both bombine is around 2800-3200sgd.

dr hsu (who done for jovin) cost TWD28000 for each
HanFong cost TWD25000 for each

For taiwan, Consultation and followup is Free! damn SG Doc...

as for accomodation. SGD100 - SGD200
http://www.asiatravel.com/taiwan/taiwan.html

PRO of Taiwan: Skills and techniques better than SG alot, lesser complaint or bad reviews. Faster recovery (i contribute this to the skills of the doc and the cold and dry climate of taiwan which makes healing faster)
CON: after factoring the air tix and 1 week accomodation, the price is the same or more however, in PS the most impt is SKills/ healing rate and results, these i believe is more impt than cost..
What u all say?

Good news for those going to taiwan this few months: due to the anti AHbian demo, taiwan packages has drop from SGD1k per week to current 600+sgd per week. Take this apportunity to go for PS and toiur around Taiwan.
i realise that lots of PS in taiwan is also offering discount for PS due to some reasons. Great PS Sales? 8-)

HAve u considered Dr Su? SHe is the most famous eye PS specialist doctor in Taiwan? She is trained in accupuncture and i believe Woman is more delicate in Surgery thus u can see that many reccommended her.

dun have her price thous but she charges 15000TWD for Kai Yan Tou.

u need to email her for prices thou.. and yes she need u to send ur photos over side and front..

http://www.dr-su.com/index0.asp

If u realise this, reading their forums, there are many HongKies going to TAiwan for their PS due to low cost and skill level. I believe SGians wont be alone in this quest thus you can have more faith..

ALso u should read her forum belows, she advise and replied her customer/prospects questions herself! furthermore she can remember her customers name which she operated few months back! you all should read her posting to see how caring and professional a doc she is.. I myself feel much safer to put my face on her knife 8-)

Dr seah is anthor good choice in sg that i would go but PS standard in SG is not up to my req. Rhino thou complicated is the least risky job compared to eyelid, which is unreversible. thus for eyelid, it is most impt to find a doctor with the best skills.

as for a simple cost calculations, PS job for both Eyelid + Rhino plus Accomodation plus air tix and Everything, will cost $3500 now (due to current taiwan promo) for that extra 1k which u need to pay to other PS in sg, i can go for botox injections to smooth my jaw or other features..

msn can spk also, just like skype as long as u got the earphone and mic set. my skype name is tanjhj and my msn is [email protected] . Anybody feel free to contact me if they have any questions. i tried my best to answer them to my knowledge.

as for sharing rooms, not really used to it also there is not much saving on rooms, maybe 100-200+ for 1 week. as for hotel and accomdation, i suggest u take a look at asiatravel or ask hanfong for there are and u try to book the cheapest hotel near there.

as for finding the way there to han fong, i think u can email hanfong website since they cater to int'l client or u can call them for free via skpe!. i believe it is near some mrt or hotel if i am not wrong, you can also book ur taiwan package tour at local agency or msia agency for the best price.

the main difficulty is just to save enough to go taiwan and back. if transport is a problem, u can ask hanfong to arrange or just book a cab at the taipei main station. http://www.sappho.com.tw/h_trafic.asp

if u going hanfong, u can visit http://www.sappho.com.tw/h_reserve.asp
for more details. they provide hotel and airport pickup services. also their address and free skpe call no. is there.

hanfong got a hotel which they uses, charges sgd80 per nite. However u can just book two nites there. afterwhich u can ask the locals or cabbies to recommend hotel 81 equivalent hotels for just usd20+. there are lots of cheap but luxurious hotels at taipei.

Best is that hanfong id near XimengDing which is their orchard. can go there shop shop and side seeing
