Leenaaa,

I will be back in sg mid to late august. I can totally understand your fear of going back to Korea to get your nose done esp if the surgeon isn't big on communication. I haven't contacted Dr. Jung since I left Korea since I felt there's no need to. But I'm gonna email him just to touch base and let him know how my nose is doing 6 weeks post op. I'll see how long it takes him to reply and if he seems to genuinely care how I'm doing or not. I still think he's a good doc and I'm happy with how he treated me while I was at his clinic, but hopefully his after care is also just as good.

As for breathing problems, my nose still feels snuffly and runny alot. Sometimes it feels blocked and there's like alot of gunk in there. And because I'm scared to pick or blow my nose too hard I just leave alone till the blockage comes out. Gross I know....but I wonder when it will be clear and I can breathe completely normally again.

Hi Hannah,

Yes, do let us know if Dr. Jung reply fast. But if no problem, I guess he may probably reply you fast cos he clear email very often.

For Dr. Kim... his speedy for before and after op is hell lot of difference!

After I feel my nostril for sometime with my finger, I suspect my septum cartilage is turning like this, a horizontal V, ie >

There's 1 very sharp point pokking out. There's no pain as yet, but not sure how it will turn out as time goes by... sigh.

I've written to Dr. Kim just now, see how long will he get back to me. I think he seriously deserve some bad mouth!

I must say my look is great with the nose shape improved, but the time bomb inside is scary...

Will update again in the forum... bye and wish everybody good luck!

Rdgs,
Rabbit

Has anyone tried using Dr. Jung's Secret Q&A Board on his website?

He replied to my posting, but I don't know how to check his reply. I tried tying in my password that I set up for my question, but it doesn't seem to work. Is there another password that I don't know about?

Hi Rabbit,

glad to hear from you again! Even though I love my new nose, I worry alot about the potential problems too. Like will the goretex last a lifetime? Will it always look this good or will it change even more with time? Oh well, I guess I should just enjoy it and not worry so much.

Has Dr. Kim replied to you about your problem yet? Let's hope that its not really a problem at all....

Ah Mei lover,
Hi there! Apologies for being MIA, just back from a long business trip...my nose has healed well, none of the blockage, breathing problems, numbness etc that some others mentioned.

Then again, my change was very subtle, just about 1-2mm increase, and i think my tip is still too bobulous! :???: I didn't inform anyone about my surgery, and my hubby didn't even notice the difference (we didn't see each other for 2 months)! :( I do like the subtle increase in the height (esp. from the side view), but like I mentioned earlier, I should have gone for an alarplasty as well.

Face liposuction. But this is good if you have excessive fats on your cheeks, not when your jaw is naturally stronger-looking.

Some people envy Angelina Jolie's strong jawline, some people hate it and wants to get rid of it. I belong to the party where i simply hates my strong jawline. There is a surgical procedure to slim this part down, but, it's very traumatising. What I do now, is to rely on botox....

Hmmm... what should I do next? Cheekbone reduction maybe?

Hannah Lee - Have you used Dr. Jung's Secret Board? I don't know how to see his reply that he posted. I tried typing in the password I used to post my message, but it is not working! What password am I suppose to use? Also, when you went to get surgery from Dr. Jung, did he show you different photos of his work at his office? Did he use computer simulation for your photo? Were you asleep for the operation or awake? Sorry for all the questions. I am seriously considering Dr. Jung to get a revision.

Leeennaaa - You mentioned previously that you didn't like Dr. Jung's style of noses. Could you describe what kind of style Dr. Jung's noses are? I am curious because I cannot discriminate between the different surgeons styles of noses.

Koreangirl,

I've never used the secret board so I can't help u there. All my correspondence with Dr. Jung was thru email. I was shown pics during my consultation in his office but he didnt do a computer simulation for me. I was asleep throughout the operation.

Hi all,

Some more bad symptoms appear in my nose... the right side of my tip today afternoon suddently become very painful and after gentle massage still painful... really worry that I'll become MJ2 with implant protruding out.

Will go to see a PS in HK on Sat see what's wrong, not sure if I need to go back to Korea for re-op. :( I really like my current nose, wish all the problem will be settle soon and once and for all, don't want a life time worry...

Talking about Dr. Kim, he is really  I wrote to him to express my worry that my septum cartilage cannot take it and become crooked to the right. His reply simply said, "you don't need to worry about the septum cartilage cannot take the weight of the gortex. It can take the weight so there is no worry about it."

Tian ah...what a classic answer...

I wrote to Dr. Jung and his reply is, "you should first check if your doc." sigh... I guess I will check with the PS in HK, if really not ok, don't know how liao, better save $ for re-op now...

Good luck to all rhino patients.

Rdgs,
Rabbit

Rabbit,

so sorry to hear about the new problems. I wonder what could be the problem? Is there redness at the tip or only pain? If the tip is your own ear cartilage then I don't think the implant is likely to extrude through the tip. Anyways, good luck and hope the HK ps says that its not a big deal. Take care!

wah! dr kim seems like such a jerk. so irresposible and arrogant. i hope the hk doctor say there's nothing wrong with your nose or maybe just temp symtoms? praying for you.

question baout yanhee. anyone did rose reduction with them before? as well as eyelid? anyone good? dr sukit seems the nautral nautral kind which isnt what i'm looking for cos i'm going for major change not just subtle differences. and yanhee, what do the cost cover? cos there are some places which are quite cheap or say special rate but they dont include a lot of things like implant or operating threatre so you end up paying a lot more. also what are the consultation fee there?
