Just new to this site living in BKK but have been lving in SG for two years and will soon come back.

I just have a question : Why you wanna have plastic surgery? I mean you all look nice already (for those who have picture).
It really does not matter how you look, but how you think and feel.

Yes I am a foreigner and maybe a bit more openminded but please lady's find yourself a partner that loves you on who you are and not what you are.

silicon extrusion

Post by katy » Sat, 24 Jun 2006 11:30 am

hello.

its said that we cant do the tip too high or too sharp because of the risk of silicon extrusion.

what does that look like ???
can it be repaired if it happens ??

just to consolidate the comments to u peepz :)

babyevil85: just to confirm before i pass further comments...is that doctor KK the doctor operating from a rather chinese style looking clinic? and his wall is full of certicates? If it is, well,....i've been there before....and i may have some "feedback" for u....

Koreangirl, Hannah and Lena: the 1009 case is indeed incredible! Pls correct me if i'm wrong but i feel this is a very obvious case where bridge augmentation, nose augmentation is done very well, in the process heightening the nose tip and making the whole nose narrower!!! I do not think any alar-reduction was done.

Anyway there's really a great difference between the before/after noses so i feel that this surgery seems quite viable under many circumstances. My case is almost exactly like that so that's why i'm so interested yah. The crappy part is that i'm really unwillling to use ear cartilage!!!!!!!!! maybe they might find enuff lower lateral cartilage that needs to be cut off to build the tip? hehe....

i was scared in the middle of the ops for my 1st eye cos i was afraid tat i might sudden open my eyes! however for the 2nd eye i was more relaxed then...little pain was felt...

after ops...eyes swollen...but the size of my eyes was the same b4 i did the ops...with the tape on top of my eyelids...

my eyelids r still swollen...more swollen on the left...abit out of shape...
n my rite eyelid is abit stingin now...

now i duno shld i do cold or hot compress!!!

any suggestions??

btw ever since the ops...i duno if its worry tat botherin mi or if im realli hvin sleepin probs...
cos every 1 or 2hrs i would wake up...couldnt quite get to zzzz...

whenever i sleep , i will wake up with alot of eye wax or watever u call tat.
my right eye looks unnatural cuz of its high crease.
mine is same as the link
http://www.xanga.com/item.aspx?user=sho ... id=1814648

on her first day of surgery. her left eye seems with higher crease. same as mine. but mines on the right. but the thing is , it doenst seem to swell juz tat the crease looks like tat. will it subside ?

Hi lolita,

the website is http://korea.nose.co.kr/english/main/main.asp

it should have all the info u need like phone numbers costs etc.

Katy: If u wanna see pics of extrusion with silicone Dr. Jung has a whole section on it here http://korea.nose.co.kr/english/other/other01.asp

Dr. Jung never uses L shape silicone implants cuz of the risk of extrusion at the tip so he always puts your own ear cartilage there. And for me taking the ear cartilage was not a big deal. My ear stitches were removed 5 days post op and not alot of pain after that.
Everyone,

I just got back from my consultation with Dr Seah. It cost me $94.50. WAY cheaper than Dr H!! He recommended that I remove my implant, let my nose settle down a little, then do another rhinoplasty if I want. I think that is a reasonable suggestion. Implant removal costs $800 not including gst and meds.

I really feel like removing my implant because I really cannot stand the sight of it!!! Like Dr Seah said, leaving it longer will make it harder to remove and leaving it longer isn't going to make my implant straight.

However, I am a little worried because Dr Seah isn't experienced with nose lengthening... so he may not know how to deal with all the modification in my lengthened nose. Am kinda worried that if he removes the implant without doing anything else to my nose, my nose will look funny. What do you guys think?
Agree u shd remove it rather than redo.

If u really hate it, letting it stay longer will mean the gortex fuse with your tissue, that will make it harder to remove :(

silicon is easier to remove than gortex. i think dr seah is wise in his advice ... and his price is not exp.
