If you don't mind me asking what procedure did you have done? Does your implant start between the eyes or just below the eyebrows? Do you know if he has done any revision rhinos? I am gonna have a consultation with him tomorrow but want to check beforehand.

I think mine is a difficult procedure because first of all it is a revision case. Also, I want to have my current implant removed and possibly replaced with a thinner implant starting between the eyes. I also want to have the tip sharpened and to have the base of the collumnella (the bit between the 2 nostrils) lengthened. Dr K only lengthened my nasal tip and not the base of the collumnella so that the bottom bit is hidden by the wings of my nostrils (from the side view).
I had a rhinoplasty? .. erm .. the normal one I guess, my implant start between the eyes. However, I am a guy and I have a strong brow bone so having it high looks better on me. About the revision part, he did a revision on me, however, the first time was also by him, it wasn't as high as I would like and so he made it higher.

I believe you would have a great consult with him tomorrow! Cause he is very patient and nice to talk to. I am also having my appointment tomorrow for a review to see how's my nose doing. Perhaps would bump into you. =P

I thought your first rhinoplasty was done in NUH?? So he only augmented your nose with an L shaped implant? Did he charge you for the revision?

I thought you were a girl! Hehe Yea might bump into you =P
Yes, my first one is done in NUH. In my opinion, it was terrible! The doctor didn't put an implant, she place some strings inside to lift up the nose. She said that the result would be permanent, but in my case, it didn't. Sigh ..

For my second rhino, I am very satisfied! The first time he did it, I didn't really like it, cause he wanna play safe and didn't put it too high, but for the second time, he reached 80% of my expectation and I think its wonderful ... cause my expectation is like wanna look like someone else, so that's very high.

He didn't charge me for revision, only for my medication, $100 plus, and the operating misc charges required to operate on me, $100, altogether $200 plus.

sorry I haven't been checking this board.
Anyway, you were thinking about rhinoplasty with Dr Seah right?

I just did mine with Dr. Seah a few days ago, I love the result. Though he didn't give me what I wanted, but he hit it close enough. However, I think my expectations were really too high, so basically, he did a good job on me. hehe .. very satisfied. =)
hi wenhwa u did rhinoplasty with dr seah?
is it gd n natural?
how much is ur cost?
and during the op, after the op is it painful?
i oso looking for a gd surgeon to do nose surgery.. hope u can ans my qns.. thanks :)
Actually, for me, I think it is good and looks natural on me. But I guess different people have different yardsticks for that. I paid 3500 for my surgery, however, mine is more expensive because I had to file down my hump. For rhinoplasty, I think it starts from 2800 for them.

On the issue of pain, I think you would feel more uncomfortable because of the swelling rather than the actual pain from the surgery.

The doctor that did my nose for the first time is Dr. Jane Lim, she is not the head. I don't really know her position there.

Erm .. in my opinion, I think my doctor (Dr. Seah) did a reasonably good job on me.

I need to do it twice because in my first operation, the issues that I articulated to the doctor was not rectified - in my opinion - and there was a lot of problems that occured after the surgery that made me feel like .. ugh ..

I don't have pictures, I am sorry. I don't like to circulate my pictures around. However, I can meet up. Also, different people suit different noses, what looks good on me might not be suitable for you, so you must discuss your needs with your doctor and come to a SAME LEVEL OF UNDERSTANDING with him/her.

My cost in total .. almost 4000 inclusive of 1 revision. But this amount varies from case to case.

The pain part: Swelling more uncomfy than pain. Cause pain got pain killer, swelling need time to go off.

Hi girl,

I haven't consulted Dr Sukit personally myself yet, so i don't know his works of double eyelid surgery. But a few ppl from this forum have gone through the surgery with him. Their reviews seem to be quite good too.

But i know he seems to be very specialized in rhino surgery, very popular with readers in this forum. So if i can afford the time, i'll undergo this procedure with him one day.

I'll be undergoing the eye surgery with Dr Lim next month. I hope I can recover quickly!

As for the methods, he did explain to me 3. He said the incisional method is permanent and can remove fats. I'm not too sure about how long the other 2 methods last but I'll ask him again on my day of surgery and update you ok?

May i know how much did Dr Lim quote you?

Thanks for Dr KK Lim's contact. I just went for a consultation with him today and have booked my double eyelid surgery for next Fri. Am very very excited and can't wait to go!

Was your surgery just with stitches or did you have a small excision with stiches? He recommended for me to have a small excision with stiches for permanancy.

How many days does it take for the swelling to go down and the eyes to look natural?

iamdanny,
My rhino was by Dr Harry Fok (Vida medical) at Paragon. Total cost was in the mid-range - $3500 or so, maybe 1/3 of how much the "celebrity" surgeons would have charged! :)

Like i mentioned, I think he did an ok job - skills wise, top notch, given that i didn't bruise at all, and only had minor swelling for 2-3 days! However, the effect was too subtle, got my bridge raised maybe 2-3mm (normal would be about 5mm i think), and the sides are still too wide (at least in my opinion)!! :?

Hi Lass,

According to the nurse, it's $1500. On this menu I saw hanging on the wall at his clinic, it states that double eyelid surgery is $1500-1800. I guess it would cost more if you need fats removed but in my case I don't so maybe that's why it's $1500. Consultation is free.

According to his "menu," he does procedures like adding dimples for $500 too!

Hi babyevil85,

Can't seem to send PM or reply to PM.

The doctor I'm doing the procedure with next Fri is Dr KK Lim. Think Eustacia has posted his contact details on Pg 131.
