I am thinking maybe Dr Seah from Vida Medical Centre in Paragon because of Wenhwa recommendation? I most definately cannot afford Dr H for having the revision + fat graft done. Dr H quoted me approx $5k for the fat graft alone!

I would appreciate any suggestions.
Hi Leena,

Another forum reader had really nice things to say about Dr Fong. Did you see any before/after pics, or if he has experience in doing revisions? ALso, dO you know if he has a website or email or anything? Yes I agree that it is worth checking out other surgeons. Your face is not something you should mess around with =)

All the best! ANd do come back and let us know how you are getting on!

Sorry for MIA for quite sometime. Just moved over to HK and it's REALLY busy for me. The flat that I rent is without a single pcs of furniture, need to shop from scratch and work wise also very busy.

Anyway, the long and short of it is. I like my new nose, improvement is definitely significant. BUT, my left nose is still giving me some problem here and there. It's still a bit pain (sometimes more pain, need some massage) in the tip and mid of the bridge. But at least no more headache. It's definitely not healing up as nice and the right side. But I'm sure my tip is my ear cartilage, so shldn't have any problem (ba...). Just hv to monitor the situation, probably may go back to Korea later part of the yr if situation didn't improve.

Other than the little pain and still stiff tip (did on 14 Apr), everything is gd. But my wound of the open rhino, don't know why, the scar is still quite obvious... probably I took soya source ba... sigh.. will put whitening stuff when I'm fully recovered. Since my nose is lengthened, if I don't turn up my chin, the line is not very obvious. So while healing, open rhino goer shld avoid talking to pple shorter than you... ha ha ha..

Other pts to note:
My mum, whom I last meet in early Apr (then back to SG). After 3 mins.. suddenly she popped a question, "you done smthg to your nose arh? Why so much higher?" Then I pushed to say that I lost a lot of weight cos I don't cook in SG... she half suspect, but didn't ask anymore. For my HK colleague who last saw me in early Apr too, didn't realize anything. So the moral of the story is, your family member wld know... but it's still very natural.

I met a HK friend recently, she is a very experienced person in the beauty industry, she also said it's natural, better than those that done in HK. ^_^

Just hope my left nose can be good soon, then I'm in heaven! At least when I close my coffin lid (I mean someone close for me la), I won't feel regret that I have a piggy nose.

Rdgs,
Rabbit
Hi Rabbit,
May i have Dr Martin huang from paragon contact no pls.
Besides this would like to seek for your advise, coz i quite puzzle... i thinking of doing nose implant but not sure shld i do it in singapore or Bangkok yan hee. worried whether safe to do it in bangkok, but reading quite alot of positive review abt yan hee - bangkok. but i feel more comfortable to do it in local. Could someone enlighten me on this...

Thanks.

Hi there....been following the forum for a while and just wanna share my experience getting my nose done with Dr. Jung in Korea. Sorry its kinda a long post.....

I had planned to go to Dr. K at BK clinic but changed my mind at the last minute. I only wanted to do alar reduction with NO augmentation cuz to me reducing the width of the nose is all I want.....dun really care bout the bridge being high or not.

So on June 8th I had my alar surgery with Dr. Jung. He actually suggested getting an implant and lengthening the nose since I highlighted that I really want my nostrils to be small and not that visible frm the front. But I was quite against getting any kind of implant so I told him just alar reduction will do. But after surgery, I found that the width was much smaller but now my nostrils looked kinda pinched and pointy cuz my nose is a bit short. I panicked when I saw my small piggy nose and asked him if I can change my mind and get augmentation and lengthining after all. He told me to think about it first and if I really want it he will do it.

After thinking bout it for 2 days I had my second surgery on June 10th. He did augmentation with goretex, lengthened the tip with ear cartilage and lifted my collumella a bit. I asked for a natural look....roundish tip NOT pointy. After 5 days when my cast came off I was expecting alot of swelling and sure enough my bridge was swollen all the way to the space between the eyes. Quite quite ugly. I think that no matter how much u are prepared to take the ugly swollen stage, its still depressing.

Its been 2 days since my cast came off and 1 week since the surgery. I must say that as the swelling comes down it looks better and better. I'm quite happy that my nostrils are alot smaller and natural looking after getting my nose lengthened. The tip is still really swollen and fat but at least it looks natural. The bridge is still very unnatural looking between the eyes but already looks much better than 2 days ago. I tell myself that at 1 week post op I still have alot of healing to do and it will look a lot better in a couple of weeks.

So would I recomment Dr Jung as a surgeon? Well I think that he seems alot more caring and sincere than Dr. Kim and his after care is better. He will take the time to talk to u and he even managed to accomodate me for my 2nd surgery even tho he is quite busy. He also reassured me before I left that if I'm not happy with anything, I can always come back and he will fix it for me. As far as skill goes....he seems very experienced and has a busy practice....ppl in and out all day. Its only one week post op so the final result is still far away. But I think he favors high bridges....which I don't like. But then I think its the trend in Korea to have this type of nose which isn't everyone's cup of tea. Even tho I was shocked when I first took the cast off....now 2 days later I'm starting to like and accept my new nose. Just hoping that in a month it will have settled down nicely and I can give Dr. Jung my full recommendation.

So I flew to Korea expecting to just have my nostrils narrowed a bit.....just a small change. In the end I had all kinds of crap done to my nose. Its quite alot of stuff to handle in the span of one week.....I mean 2 surgeries back to back is certainly no fun. And the recovery period....well I still have a long way to go and it is a real pain in the ass. But hey, no pain no gain. So keeping my fingers crossed and hoping I like the final result.....

u must continue to hang on yah...From the post of several forummers, it does seem best to wait and see the more stable results of the surgery. I really cannot give any concrete advice cos of my lack of knowledge but Dr H**** seems VERY expensive. Furthermore i think that as a professional, he shld counsel u to wait for some more time before opting for revision.

Dr K** seems unprofessionally busy, and u certainly deserve better aftercare. Personally i met Dr Seah before. He emphasizes natural and moderate; my fren did eyes with him before. He charges reasonably and is humble and nice. (but i know nothing abt his revision skills though..) An appointment with him cost 80? he might be able to offer some good revision advice/reference even if he cannot do it.

As for redress, there might be a medical council in korea?

Best wishes..

Hi Hannah Lee,
Hope u hv a good recovery. Hang on in there, I'm pretty sure u'll like ur new nose. I initially thought of going to BKClinic to get my nose fixed. However, after reading that he's post-surgery service is practically non-existent I decided to focus on Dr. Jung instead. Unfortunately I have problem sending messages to him online. I've emailed him but there's no reply either. I think he must be v busy. May I know how u managed to get in touch with him?

Hi Leenaa,
Just hang on in there! Surgery can be quite traumatic esp when u still have numbness, bleeding etc. I had jaw surgery 2 yrs back to improve my bite and I only started getting back complete sensation on my lower lips abt a yr after the surgery. The reason I'm having my nose fixed is the consequence of having my jaw done. I was really depressed that the jaw surgery had somewhat broaden my nose; and I really liked my nose before the surgery. I've waited 2 yrs to let things stabilized and will be going for nose surgery mid next year when I'm less busy at work.

Chiqita,

Thanks =) Btw did you type the right email add? Dr Jung's email add is rhinojdh@hotmail.com.
Hi Leenaaa,

Yes, that's the email I used but no reply. Not sure if the nurses at his clinic are fluent in English as I'm thinking of calling direct.
