But anyway, it abit too early to see the final result.. so don worry to much.. seem hatemynose and mynose done it there, and they both like their new nose, i am sure u gonna like urs too, just give it sometime to subside ok.. ive been there done that rem? it felt really sucky when the nose swell like a pig! but after it subsided, i love my nose to bits now!! find it not high enough thou.. hehe..

But i don understand why did u choose 'I' shape and not their famous Korean nose? I seen it before.. it super duper nice! i want to have that korean nose as well.. but too late.. :(

anyway, in short.. don worry, it just ur day 4 only.. i am sure it will be nicer and nicer as days goes by.. like mine.. 8-)

Hi Ocean 11 and Xiaobai,

I'm so glad to see your email! It makes me feel much better, I really hope the things that you say will apply to me too...

Ocean 11, the type of treatment is consider the Korean type already, they usually use I shape then ear cartilage for the tip. Having seen so many nice noses from korean stars to the nurses in the clinic, I though I chose the right choice, but what you said is exactly the point I want to highlight: ie even it's the same method, others look nice, it may not be the same for you. Other rhino wannabe, pls. pls. bear that in mind. But to choose and experience doc is good. I can tell the skill of Dr. Kim is so much better than the one I did my alar reduction in SG. I remember I saw some notes on his table before the surgery. I wonder if he had done that before!

Xiaobai, xie xie ni! My nose now is just a fat round nose, I bet pple with this nose will go for rhinoplasty as well... was wondering why the Dr. give me such a round nose... after reading your post, I'm slightly hopeful. Originally, I was thinking of going back and ask how much if were to pull out the implant, revert to the same nose... I guess I will give it sometime then.

But for the implant I chose, Gortex, the good part is, it's soft and slightly porerous, so the cell will grow on it / into it as time goes by and it will glue firmly in the body, but the bad part as compare to silicon is that, if were to take it out, it will not be as easy... so I guess I'm going to ask the doc when is the best time to take it out before it's too late.

I really really appreciate your support! Though I'm still very depress... but at least I feel that there's someone I can talk to, who have been there done that, can share my anxiety. Thanks again!

rabbit,

i think u just have to let the swelling go down first. i have a friend who after doing eyelid clipping went into depression for d 1st month because her eyes were all puffed up. but now, she is so pretty and she is laughing at herself for going back to scold the surgeon.

take care. just keep thinking, you'll be beautiful in 2 month's.

Good Luck

I really hope so... but on the other hand, I tell myself to prepare for the worst...sigh... I guess the only thing I can do is to pray...

rabbit so sorry to hear what happened to u...and u lost money.. :( honestly i think u just need to give it time since its jst been 4 days.. my cousin went for rhino as well and although i didnt go with her that time she was also really depressed.. she said she was crying alot which made her situation really worse..i think she stayed in US for a week or 2..when she came back it was still swolen but u could see the difference...n she likes her new nose now.. i dont really knw how it looked like after the operation but she said it was pretty bad n that she regret it in the start as well even if the doc already told her that its gonna look all bruised up and swolen after the operation.. i hope u will feel better and im sure it's jst the swelling n that it'll go down in a few weeks time.. just dont rush into anything yet..

Thx Young Princess,

I also prepared for the bruised up and swollen, that part I'm ok... but my nose is quite ugly now, guess no one will suspect I did rhinoplasty cos no one will go and get such an ugly nose... hope it's all bcos of the swollen...

For what all of you have said, I guess I will not go and ask the doc to remove the implant...will wait and see. Hope for the best tmr...

Thx dear!

Hi all,

It's my fifth day post op. Still big round nose tip. Back of my right ear still feel like some rubber (cos it's numb ever since the surgery)...still depressed...everyday wake up, rushed to the mirror to see if there's any difference...but always ended up disappointed...

According to the nurse, my swelling subsided faster than others, so I guess the current shape is more or less the thing that I'm getting. Paid S$10,000 to get something that I don't like, how I wish I could donate the $ to the church, a more meaningful way of spending it...

Another feeling to share with rhino wannabe: I found going to the surgery is just like buying stock, when you wanted to go for it, you'll always think it will give good result, somehow you only listen to good comment and ignore the bad ones. But how many can really get what they wanted? So be prepare, surgery result may not be good always.

If you are really going for rhino, something you should take note which I didn't do and became quite inconvenient:
1) bring a cap and some dental surgeon mask to cover yourself
2) if u are going overseas, bring some can food and a can opener as well just in case you can't go out and there's no food delivery service.
3) don't change all the SGD you have into local currently and put $ in separate places. Keep some SGD in somewhere in your luggage (or safe place). In case you lost the local $ and the stupid ATM machine, even with the plus sign etc and still don't work for you, you can still change the remaining SGD as spare.

Take care everybody...

Rabbit @ seoul... still in deep depression...

ahmeilover: good to hear u got the results u wanted.. :D

rabbit: could it be that u just dont notice the swelling going down coz u look at it all the time? but i dont really know how those things work.. bt the others did mention their nose swelling up badly as well.. :-| mmm have u tried asking the doctor whats going on? u should demand to see him..its ur right as a patient.. or didnt he at least check up on u after the op? anyway really hope u will feel better..

Good to hear Ahmeilover like her new nose!

Hi Young Princess,

I finally got to see the doc today after another 15 mins wait. So, I got the answer for my ear. The reply is quite indirect. "Since he need to cut open the skin to take the cartilage, so some nerves will be disturbed". At first the doc said it will come back in 6 mths or 1 yr, upon probing if there's any case that the feeling never come back, his reply is, the senor at the back of the ear doesn't have any function, so it's ok for not having it... so I guess that's that ultimate answer... luckily everyone seems go for simple silicon implant so this worry do not apply to most of you.

And my big fat tip, when I asked he doc, he said it will go down a little bit more... so like I mentioned, it's more or less there liao.

Hiya, I think I shouldn't keep spreading the -ve ions here, you gals take care ya, bye!

Rabbit.

[quote="jovinliu"]The botox made a hell lot of difference man. I was told i look 50% different as compared to last time. It's not my eyes, it's not my nose, it's my face shape that contributes to that huge difference. Used to have squarish jaws, now is... hmmm... more slim. Yap, it feels like getting shots on your arm, except it's INTO the muscles. I won't lie that it won't hurt at all, but it's bearable.

hey jovin... can tell me more abt ur botox as in where u did it? how long is last? dr sukit got advise me abt it coz i wanna slim down my fae aso... if do it in yanhee will be 600+ sg 1 time... but dr say las only abt 2-3 mths... really tempted to do it... can tell me more? Thanks!
