Hi Mountain,

So kind of you to check out the case. Ya, I realize the Korean seems like this kind of nose... but in this part of the world, it's kind of fake...Yes, it's under recent surgery.

I kind of understand how you guys and girls feel too when you are not satisfy with the ops. 3 yrs ago when I paid S$1,750 for just alar reduction with Dr. Yeap in Mt E. During post-op, I told him I was not happy cos he cut too little, but his answer was, "it did get smaller, right? It's still swelling, when it settle you will see the result better." The day seems never come and S$1,750 was down the drain... my friend all couldn't notice the diff except the 2 scars at the corner of my nose and slight diff in the nostril size!... it's kind of sad, but that gave me a good lesson (though a bit expensive) in how to communicate and negotiate with the surgeon!

But I guess alar reduction and nose augmentation may be diff. I wish all those currently not satisfy with the result will be able to see the diff as per the doc. predicted.

Rdgs,
Rabbit

Mountain,

do you know the page number case 635 is based on?
I don't know how to search by case number

the price is steep so of course you have to be sure..

did you email him to ask for more details?
may be you can tell him your preference..

I saw Chae Rim's drama on TV and just realized
that her nose is the parallel shape also
but the bridge is pretty thin, it's quite nice ...

you can tell me all the case/page numbers
and I'll take a look at them for you :D

Hi guys, I have been following this thread, and posted sometime back about my hubby being adamant that I do not go for a rhinoplasty.
But guess what - he will be posted overseas for 3 months for a company training, so I am thinking of using that time to go for my surgery! :)

Am thinking of getting in done in Spore - less hassle for checkups, no language problem, less explanation to people when I go MIA, etc....Any recommendations? I have contacted Dr JJ Chua (Mt E) and he quoted me S$3800, which I think is rather reasonable. Dont mind paying more for the peace of mind and good results. Worst case scenario would be to go thru all that pain & suffering & waste money and not see any difference (as was the case when i did my injection rhino at Camden Medical) :(

Appreciate any recommendations from 1st hand experience. thanks guys! :)

Hi wenhwa, not many famous (and publicity hungry) PSs at Camden, am sure u can figure out who! :-|
My husband is very observant, and he didn’t even suspect a thing when I went home that day! Wasted $2200 or so for nothing! I guess I was being unrealistic myself – cant expect my nose to shrink from a couple of injections right? :?

Dr. Wu is also a craniofacial surgeon by training so I'd think he is more competent????????????????? Do they show before and after photos? Who would you choose between Dr. Wu and Dr. Huang?

Hi giraffe,
he did take before & after pix to (very briefly) show me on the laptop, but honestly, didnt see much difference. Of cos, whatever minimal effects are also temporary (4-6 mths) so its back to square one now. Think a proper rhino would easily cost $6-10k with him compared to the $3800 i was quoted? :o
Again appreciate if anyone who has done the surgery in Spore or gone for consultations can provide feedback of who to go to, & who to definitely avoid! Thanks

Black creamer: to whatever Doctor you go I think it is very very important to see the before and after shots of his patients. That way you visually know his tastes. Communication is very important and without pictures I don't think one knows what the other really wants when it comes to these things. You should go through the pictures with the doctor and tell him what you like and see if he says surgically he can work that in for you...

I am talking about before and after pictures of OTHER patients and not of yours of course. Don't these doctors show before and after shots of other patients? How else are we to judge their work????????

I did mine in Taipei not yanhee :)

Yes the tip should get smaller as days goes by. But, what i know is that Dr. Sukit don't do L shape implant, so are you expecting some kind of changes to your nose tip?

My new nose is "3 months old" already, and yes i like the new nose shape now. I can't really comment about the swelling part as i didn't swell much, but is your nose swelling terribly? If not i think it's normal :)

Hmmm... what should I do next? Cheekbone reduction maybe?

No, not all PS will show their work to their potential patients. Out of the 3 PS i consulted in Taipei, only 1 initiated to show me. The doc who did my nose did not show me his previous work and i went to him because of recommendations. Of course if you request, they will have past works to show you.

From all my research they always say it is a must for the doc to show before/after pics of their patients. If they don't show then you shouldn't go ahead with them. Look at the plastic surgery associations advice..even they state something like that.

myNose wrote:Hi guys, i'm back from seoul. It's my 5th day after I've done rhinoplasty. I would say it looks v natural. so natural that when they remove the plaster, I couldnt c a difference.

doc (Dr Kim Byung Gun) actually recommended me to haf high profile, but I v scared ppl will find out so i decided to go for the medium profile. Abit regret now though..think the higher profile will look alot better.

My bf thinks they did a good job becoz I still look like me except there is a certain difference. But I cant help but wished I went for the higher profile.

signz...woman lah..never satisfied.

Next thing in mind is tat I want to slim my face. did botox 3 times oredi = SGD$3000. plus its not permamnent, thinking of laser lipo on the face. Anybody tried it before? pls advice. tks.
Congratulation myNose,
Happy tat u found a good doc and had a result tat u r so happy of.
I am interested in seeing a korea doc too, cos after seeing the Korean show. But my problem is my nose tip is not as sharp...dont think by just insert the implant will slove my problem. Would u mind to tell me more about your nose? Is your nose tip sharp before, is your implant a L-sharp or I-sharp? Thank you so much...And if u dont mind, can you send me a pic of your nose.....

Any here actually had their noses done by Dr. Martin Huang. Or any other procedures for that matter. Can share your experience? Cause I am very interested in looking for him for YET another rhinoplasty or plastic surgery procedure.
