1) Caesar Park, previously Hilton Hotel
2) San Want Hotel
3) Dong Hwa Hotel
4) United Hotel
Depends on your budget, but among all 4, Dong Hwa is the cheapest at $120 per night, but it's considered as a 3 star hotel. Location not good too. The one with the best location is San Want Hotel, but this hotel need to book early as it's always full. San Want is about $200 per night. United Hotel is not bad too, about $220 per night. Caesar Park is about $220 too, it's situated in the centre (Central station, just like City Hall), so if you are going to take the train frequently it's very convenient.
Hotels in Taipei are not cheap.
If you are going to Dr. Hsu, you have to take the train to a station call "Shi2 Pai2", then take a cab from there. About 10mins' on the cab, 30mins from the central station on the train.
My tickets are always paid by the company (i always joke that my new nose and eyelash extension is complimentary from my company, hee), booked through the same agency. I think it's $660 on China Airline. I always travel alone, so i don't get GV2 promo price. Heard from my agent that SQ have GV2 promo every quarterly, so it ends up almost same price as Jetstar budget airline. But if you are travelling alone, it will be $660 on China Airline and around $900+ on SQ.
When are you going? Now is peak season, it will be very difficult to get a seat to Taipei. It's also quite cold now, around 10 degrees. Very cooling and shiok! Can wear boots and furry furry jacket, hee.
