So far i stayed in 4 different hotels when i was in Taipei:

1) Caesar Park, previously Hilton Hotel
2) San Want Hotel
3) Dong Hwa Hotel
4) United Hotel

Depends on your budget, but among all 4, Dong Hwa is the cheapest at $120 per night, but it's considered as a 3 star hotel. Location not good too. The one with the best location is San Want Hotel, but this hotel need to book early as it's always full. San Want is about $200 per night. United Hotel is not bad too, about $220 per night. Caesar Park is about $220 too, it's situated in the centre (Central station, just like City Hall), so if you are going to take the train frequently it's very convenient.

Hotels in Taipei are not cheap.

If you are going to Dr. Hsu, you have to take the train to a station call "Shi2 Pai2", then take a cab from there. About 10mins' on the cab, 30mins from the central station on the train.

My tickets are always paid by the company (i always joke that my new nose and eyelash extension is complimentary from my company, hee), booked through the same agency. I think it's $660 on China Airline. I always travel alone, so i don't get GV2 promo price. Heard from my agent that SQ have GV2 promo every quarterly, so it ends up almost same price as Jetstar budget airline. But if you are travelling alone, it will be $660 on China Airline and around $900+ on SQ.

When are you going? Now is peak season, it will be very difficult to get a seat to Taipei. It's also quite cold now, around 10 degrees. Very cooling and shiok! Can wear boots and furry furry jacket, hee.

Hmmm... what should I do next? Cheekbone reduction maybe?

Don't want to name names but just to let u know, my doctor'c clinic is located in Mt E.
I will rather go Thailand than Malaysia and my frd had an eye and nose job there and it's great.
If cost and language is not a problem, I will definately recommend Korea as the place for plastic surgery.
I seriously regret not having it done there...I will definately not have any plastic surgery done in Singapore ever again!!!

hi yewon
ya can u tel me which surgeon u went to coz im goin to dr khoo at mt e for the surgery. thanks

by the way yylee8 how was ur surgery ? coz i also thought of goin to dr chan
all i can say is avoid dr. chan if u want to do upper eyelid surgery. look at my nick and you'll know what i mean. i can't say much here. who knows he may come across this forum and sue me for defamation.

new year new nose

Post by myNose » Sun, 01 Jan 2006 1:11 pm

Hi guys, i'm back from seoul. It's my 5th day after I've done rhinoplasty. I would say it looks v natural. so natural that when they remove the plaster, I couldnt c a difference.

doc (Dr Kim Byung Gun) actually recommended me to haf high profile, but I v scared ppl will find out so i decided to go for the medium profile. Abit regret now though..think the higher profile will look alot better.

My bf thinks they did a good job becoz I still look like me except there is a certain difference. But I cant help but wished I went for the higher profile.

signz...woman lah..never satisfied.

Next thing in mind is tat I want to slim my face. did botox 3 times oredi = SGD$3000. plus its not permamnent, thinking of laser lipo on the face. Anybody tried it before? pls advice. tks.

Hi My Nose,

Congra! At least there is no diseaster, it's consider quite good already. Mmm... I guess some people always regret on something. Just like me, if I buy 1 pair of shoes would usually regret why didn't I buy the other pair. So if you ended up choose the high profile, you may regret that it doesn't look natural. So sometimes it's hard to say... Since it's done, just learn to love it la. Like you say, at least got some diff ma!

May I check with you if you a few questions:
1) what material the doc used? Implant (silicon?) or your own cartilage?
2) Is communication a problem in the clinic and after surgery, rest of the trip, e.g. in hotel etc?
3) how much is it totally, like surgery and hotel etc.

Your kind advise is much appreciated! Thx! ^_^

Rdgs,
Rabbit

Hi, I've been follow through this massge board for months, so glad to find helpful information on nose augmentation during my research.

:D Here to thank all, esp jovin & Ocean11 to your very personal experience sharing. You gals is great! Somehow my courage is strenghten after months in gathering more fact & procedure, I'm sure will go ahead for rhinoplastic in 3 months time.

Just to share my reseach all this while, feel that Korea & Taiwan surgeon is really a good choice, dr have good experiense & a good beauty sense in asian features (aftr browse their website). However, due to budget in considering arifare & accomodation, I wil opt for a korean surgeon whom was invited to station in ShenZheng (next to Hong Kong). I'm expectating a same natural look result as done in Korea

Ok I've called them, to request for korean surgeon perform rhinoplastic, charges arnd S$5000 in using US material on bridge & ear cartilage for nose tip(for a natural pointed result). Hotel & airfare is much lower than going to korea, I may travel to Hk the sametime.

Btw anyone have traveling or PS experience to share more about ShenZhen?

Thanks in advance.

Hi rabbit,

As the swell goes down, i do see more of a difference. So maybe I did make the right choice of choosing medium profile afterall.

A qs for jolin whether does her tip of her nose feel sore when u touch it? other then slight bruises, i luv my new nose!

1) what material the doc used? Implant (silicon?) or your own cartilage?

I got silicon implant and the doc cut the cartilage from my ear as well

2) Is communication a problem in the clinic and after surgery, rest of the trip, e.g. in hotel etc?

Yes, communication is a problem, english is like dinosaur lang in korea. Luckily my doc is fluent in eng. accomodation is free as the clinic has admission room free of charge, got computer n internet access as well. but i moved to a hotel near by on the third day.

3) how much is it totally, like surgery and hotel etc.

my surgery was 2500USD *chokes though i tink it was a simple surgery. but no regrets lah...its my face leh..cannot play play.

medication = 28USD

hotel for 2 nites = 120USD at a 3star hotel call riverside hotel

plane ticket = free (sponser by co hehe)

so total cost = 2648USD = 5000SGD gasp..

haf to eat grass from now on...

hope the info helps

I chose BK clinic www.bk.clinic.co.kr in the end. Their business is super good. Going for plastic surgery there is like a normal visit to the doctor. They can see up to 100 patients a day. It's quite of a culture shock. The doc just do one op after the other...not like singapore where doc only do a few surgeries in a day. U c parents bringing their children, grandmas doing eyelid surgeries..v v acceptable and common there whereas spore is still much of a taboo.

u guys can check out jelimps www.jelimps.com i heard its equally good n cheaper than BK as well. Didnt go there becoz they never replied to my emails...n i was in korea it was toooo cold n i was too lazy to look for jelimps. all in all, i stayed there for 6 days.

i didnt ask them bout double eyelid surgery, u can email bk clinic, they will reply u v fast.

hope the info helps!
