Right, I guess whilst we wanted the best for ourselves, we were too anxious to get the job done, and so we relented unknowingly...:)

Yeah, the incision around the tip got inflamed today and I suspect its the dissolvable stitches that I was allergic or just didnt fall off as expected, hence, the wound got irritated. Bummer... Am supposed to attend a friend's birthday party this weekend where all my mates will be expecting me.....:((( See how lah.

Takuda: Hello84 is probably first of our forum member to be going to Dr. Hsu. I posted his info and Hello84 followed up n is going to Dr. Hsu becos he prefers autologous implant too. I think Dr. Hsu is well trained cos he spend more than half day/few days seminar with Dr. Toriumi. He was an understudy for more than 1 year and is also ENT specialist. I called him before and I like his attitude which shows in his site and his contribution in Taiwan FashionGuide forum. He is relatively young and eager to assist. Gives info freely and is careful to advise in completeness.
Dunno for sure but seems Dr. Chuang has done more rhino but is not expert in 100% autologous implant. If implant material is not a concern, then best if you consult both to make decision for yourself. gd luck!
well, seems like both are equally good, but i would like to confirm that dr hsu is NOT a plastic surgeon? Or is he? Cos he seems to expertise in ent which includes other procedures other than plastic/cosmetic surgery.

well, 100% autologous good? lol, it definitely beats a foreign object ie implant la but then, 100% autologous gt no complications? i hear pple who use rib cart will have possibility of warping/being absorbed, hence deforming. i'm not sure leh, some more, my cartilage in the nose scaly not enough must take from other places leh. but the PRICE is definitely attractive! more difficult procedure still charge cheaper than simple implant insertion. anw, thanks for the info!

Am considering taking this because my wound never seem to heal, still plenty of swelling and recently the self dissolvable stitches where the incisions are got irritated causing even more swelling!! I don't think its a case of slow healing but something is wrong somewhere ....Bummer ...:(
SinEcch is supposed to be taken on day of surgery before procedure and following 3 days. When was your sugery? I doubt it will help your situation if your surgery was done 5 days or weeks ago.

Dr gave me Sinecch for my bleph/eye bags (done in sg), I had very little brusing, by 2nd day, was just yellow and faded to skin tone 3rd day, he told me that although Sinecch is expensive but is not to be confused with those homeopathic arnica purchased from herbal/healthfood shops. The alpine website states it is manufactured in FDA licensed labs.

actually.. before i make appointment with Jung, i have already communicate with Dr Hsu via emails long time ago.. the reason why i still choose Jung is becos, if i have not enough cartilage from nose and ear, i might need to take from the rib.. which is happened alot of times.
Dr Hsu n Jung said for rib cartilage is quite a major op.. the healing at the rib will take long time, and it very pain!! :o
and yes, takura is rite, the chances of wraping also not low hor.. possible one lor.. if u guys got time to read thru the fashion forum (very long i know, i took very long to almost finish only!!) there're quite a number of them complaint about autologus too, can u imagine the pain, the scar on the body and still not guarantee that it wouldnt have any side effect... hmmm.. i don think it worth a try. It my point of view la, cos i cant take pain at all.. hehehe.. and i don want any scar on my body for just a nose job..

Hey astar (what a nice nick!)

Yes, you are probably right about the stitch abcess- dont know why it happened after 3 weeks post op, as far as I know, chances of an infection is low after 10-14 days so I seriously think its the wound that got inflamed. Am currently on strong Augmentin (amoxycillin + clavulanate potassium) so expensive mun !!! I only hope it the swelling subsides fast enough for me to attend the party this weekend! There must have been some MAJOR work done to my tip cos its taking longer than usual to heal !!! (my tip skin was very thin due to silicone stick and well on its way out) LOL

Tks

Today i went to do botox on my forehead and cheek. Cost me $780 and the doctor also prescribe me some cream to apply. But the result don't seem to be immediate. Anyone here done botox before? How the result? Do you think the price im paying is resonable?

I've also ask the doctor about nose job. He recommend me to do it in thailand or korea as the doctor have rich experience.

Takuda/Ocean11: Yes, if you want high bridge hv no choice but to go for rib n be exposed to warping risk of 10%. But if like me you only need increase bridge by 3mm and to lengthen nose, I was told by dr. Hsu, both ears and septal cartilages r usually enuf. anyway, mine was done by dr. Jung liao and I hv no regrets cos it was my own will. However, if I happen to be the 3.4% unlucky ones with infection or rejection later for goretex than I wld go to Hsu or Jung for 100% autlogous, even if it is rib.

Flyingmice: I hv done botox to lift brow n to reduce my jaw muscles. S$780 is not expensive. Botox works best for my jaw muscles as it does relax it and improve over time. But I hv serious problem with my brow cos Botox effect does not last there. I 'lose' my expressions.
Many make-up artistes, pro photographers and mag editors all complain abt models n artiste who use too much botox cos they hv to pile on more powders and digi the photos to death. Now that the definition of TVs r getting higher, actors cannot get aways with botox/artificial fillers tt easily n many r turning to thermage, srgeries or placenta replacement to improve their features n complexion. Producers r known to yell at actors who over-botox their eye areas. Funny, one was yelling:"You wanna go toilet or you wanna cry? How come I cannot see your sadness?"
I sticked to botox for 3 years until I cannot tahan n thus went to surgery to correct my brows. I think fillers like autologous fats will in time improve in performance and downtime, botox will lose its no. 1 placing. In future, whatever I wanna improve, I'll first checked out surgery and its downtime cos no downtime fillers and treatments r juz stop gap.

Hi DMN

You've done botox for 3 years, in Singapore? Kindly recommend Dr, by PM me perhaps? I'm concerned about my wrinkles, crows feet at the outer eye corner. Have you done this before? Appreciate you sharing info. Thanks.

Hi Takuda,

No, I did not have chin augmentation but have to kay poh again... (big giggles)... He charges 60,000NT for this procedure and he prefers Mephor as it comes in various sizes and shapes so the result can be achieved fairly easily. Chin may bruise and the worst is the numbness which can take a few months to disappear. However, the swelling is not very obvious so your friends will not notice it unless of course you tell them so. I want all silicone out of my face, now !

You could try fillers to plump up your chin if yours isnt too receding type.

Am going to Japan to sort my lips and reposition my chin to suit my nose profile. Then, am done for at least a few years, I hope!! ke ke:)

hi kwell! thanks for the compliment abt my nick.. haha..

anyway, regarding the stitch abcess, its something like a pimple.. so right, usually you can get rid of it using a prescribed wash and ointment which you can easily get at a good gp. or perhaps polyclinics?? even cheaper! haha cos polyclinics provide stitch removal service so my guess is that they will have solutions to these problems. so perhaps you can drop by for a check up and save yourself some money also from the exp stuff you're taking right now :)

if you dun have a fever or red, tender points at the area of your surgery, or pus oozing out from the wound, then you can be more or less assured that you are infection-negative. HTH
