hello84: very nice from the sides and 45 degree side!

did you do alarplasty though? cos got a bit of the pinches look from the front(nostrils slightly triangular) and i ask doctor before, most people who did alar will def have this. just the extend of it. or is it because he lengthen your nose?

but overall, it's really good!

Only those who know about plastic surgery will be able to tell the "triangular" pinched nostril look. Dun think other ppl can tell that there is something wrong with it. But it can be quite a giveaway that something was done.

Well considering you didn't get any implant, I think it already looks very good! Most ppl need an implant to get their desired look, so you are lucky if u don't need one.

i think everyone can have a normal and real nose like mine.. just do more research and search for a good surgeon like dr hsu... using implant to do nose is not good i think.. maybe tat implant can last 5 year 10 year but one day you sure must take out becosz of wear and tear.. is plastic.. and when the time you relise your mistake is too late...:)

agree with hannah on the nostrils.

yup, i agree that from the 45 and side it really is VERY VERY good. you seem happy and that's the most important, is it not?

how much was the surgery huh?

Well implants will always be controversial, but I don't think its true that you can achieve 100% perfection without implant. Your nose looks great already, but personally I'd prefer a higher bridge, and that's just my opinion. Maybe your nose can be improved 75% with just tip refinement or lengthening, but some ppl still prefer the look of a higher bridge. And how to achieve that without autologous or artificial implant?

At the end of the day, its what makes u happy. If a refined tip but flat bridge is what u seek, then that's fine. If a very high bridge is what you want, then you just have to get an implant and deal with the consequences. Just my two cents.....

after my alarplasty, my alar is still lower than the middle of my nose & the sides of my nose still wide leh, sigh....i heard there's this procedure of using laser to shave off the flesh at the sides of the nose, how is this procedure like, is it external or inside the nostrils? what is the down time? stitches? cost?
Thank you very much in advance.

Wah takuda, it has been sooo many months already and you are still flickering with the idea what to do, whether to do, and who to go to? My eyes which i did in April already fully recovered liao leh.

It depends on your own judgement on how you like those photos you see on Dr Chuang's website. What i can say is, i absolutely love my eyes... he gave me what i want, exactly. Hee hee you very funny, it's just like in a restaurant you have not visited before, how can you ensure that the food you order taste good? (by the good, taste good means suits your taste, it may not be good to other people). You visit the restaurant by words of mouth or recommendation, but if the food doesn't suits you, who can you blame?

I can only tell you 1 thing: if there is something you decide to do, go ahead and do it. If you drag and drag and drag and procastinate, chances are you are too confused and do not have the courage anymore to do it. If the change is too drastic, the patient complain say too sharp and everybody knows it's fake and starts to say that the surgeon no good. If the change is too minimal, the patient also complain and say it's too minimal like never do before. Poor surgeons. My dear, it's like ordering your own mee pok, if you want more chilli, tell the stallowner "mee pok tah, chilli zhuay zhuay!", if you don't want chilli, tell him "mee pok tah, mai hiam" -- It's all customisable, depending how you communicate with your surgeon! If you don't tell him, you expects him to know? If you know you can't afford to fly all the way back and re-do, then please do your homework. Prepare pictures of noses that you yearn for and show him, so that he have a clear understanding of what you are expecting.

takuda wrote:the pics on dr chuang's website are not very appealing, in my opinion. can somebody advise me? how do i ensure that the b4 and after pics that he havent shown are great? i asked him about 100% autologous for rhino, he says its only good and recommended for secondary rhino(2nd time), i'm really afraid the change for me will be so minimal that i can't notice anything, the the tip not sharp enough etc etc. i can't afford to fly all the way back and have revision, both time and money. :( btw i'm going this year end. earliest end nov. don't know if i should postpone it later. anyone going at this time? :)
Hmmm... what should I do next? Cheekbone reduction maybe?

yah, i can give you advice. My advice, is to decide on a doctor and give him/her a visit or at least, send him your photo and see what he suggest. From all your descriptions and woes, i can't even imagine how you look like and how is your facial features like, how to advice? btw, we are not professionals to advice you. We can only share with you our experiences.

P/S: nose implant and epi has no connection at all. I had both.

chellequeen wrote:hey, i'm looking for some advice on the eye surgery. i'm looking forward to do double eyelid surgery. at the same time, i'm contemplating epi. actuali i wanna go for a high crease. but i heard dat epi lower down the eyelid. i though of doing the double eyelid first and do the epi some other time. cuz i plan to do epi when i go for nose implants. but im scared the epi i do later will lower down the eyelid im doing now. then again, i heard dat if i'm going for nose implants, i wouldnt have to go for epi. i don't know and really confuse. anyone can offer any advice?

actuali, i want to do my eyelid surgery now with local doctor and epi/nose implant with dr chuang or any taiwan docs later.

i wanna go for a high crease, so should i do epi in future with the nose implant which lowers down the eyelid or do the epi before doing the eyelid surgery now? im very confused. :(

hope someone could offer an opinion. thanks in advance. :)
