Hi all my friends,

Good day to you.

My spass has been rejected last week. When I inquire to my company's HR, they replied me that MOM rejected the spass because of quota problem. First time when I joined that company, they said me that they have quota for one spass. They told me also that they will try to definitely submit again or appeal my spass to MOM. Here, I have doubt the one is any solution is available to solve the quota problem  . Now, I am feeling worrying about my future. So, anyone who is familiar like that case answer that one please , please. I have no one to rely on, please all my friends.

Thank you a lot for your time.

Only solution, find another employer

you can't fix the quota problem. It is the employer's problem..

Quotas are based on 3 month running averages of manpower strength. So, depending on when they checked the MOM's Wpol site they might have had, in theory, space for a Single S pass. However, the quotas on WPOL are only updated 2x/mo. The 2nd time around two weeks into the months once the previous month's CPF is paid to the government. It's the number of locals (SG/PRs) on the CPF roles that primarily govern the number of quotas (these can be impacted easily because if the company has a local resign mid month and is replaced mid month by another local, you lose both of the for that month as they must be complete months of work. So, for those companies who skate on the edge of their maximum quotas all the time, often they come up short when they make an application because the system subject to changes/when they make application for a pass. Make it the day before the data is updated, then next day, bang, rejected because no longer enough locals to support the quota. :oops!: :shit:

They can make an appeal or you can try to find another employer. My advice, do both. look for a new employer while they try to reapply (which will be probably futile anyway).
