Receiving goods from Port of Singapore

Post by Bubblezzz » Sat, 26 Aug 2017 5:20 pm

Hi All,

Would very much appreciate some advice. We bought some furniture (6 crates, 900kg) from Bangkok and opted for shipping by sea from BKK to Singapore Port. We were assured by the logistics company we used that it would be easy to find an agent to receive the goods on our behalf from the Singapore Port. At this point, all we know is:

1. Our goods ship tomorrow and will arrive on the 30th of Aug; and
2. We have an invoice for the goods.

It's been difficult to get precise instructions from the logistics company about what next. If anyone here has experience with this, can you please help?

Thanks!

No, it's not. Delivery is to Singapore Port and we are meant to find a transport company to deliver the last mile.

Perhaps this will help. You should also Google Singapore freight forwarders and see what you get. You need someone familiar with clearing customs and who offers delivery.
